View Full Version : PSP2 Quick Hack Effects Question :/

Now I know that being in a hackers party can negativley effect your exp stats and whatever which is why I always host parties. But can my stats still be effected even as party leader?

I was in a party that I was host of and one of the party members was still getting 60% drops on every single drop. So does that mean my stats may have been effected?

(And I'm talking about the negative effects like tons of EXP to next level)

OH MY *^%*. I never thought of that.... I was always wondering why some people get 100% rare drops and everyone else gets absolutely nothing... I was sure it was coincidence but that seems very unlikely... thats why so many people use locked games now i suppose

It depends if the person has also enabled the experience multiplier or whatever else code. If he has, then you most likely be affected. Since this has already happened to other people in a cheater's party, and you're saying that the codes also work if the player isn't a leader, then the answer is most likely yes. But the answer to this problem is really simple. If someone has the quick lvl-up code going and it brings your level up more than you wish, just disband (or leave) the party and DO NOT save.

So the only cheats others use that I need to worry about negatively effecting me are level boosting ones?

Well, there are many different codes out there. I don't know what you would be displeased about. There's codes that increase experience, job experience (type points). Some make all the monsters drop their rarest possible weapon/armor, some make you go directly to a certain level, some can speed you up. There are tons of codes. I think the most worrysome is the direct lvl xx (xx being a high level, usually 200). In that case just do what I already mentioned. If you find that someone is 1HKOing all the enemies, you should also probably leave since you won't get any EXP and it won't be fun.

But yeah, just use your judgment and if you decide to leave, make sure not to save (if something bad has been done to your character). :D

Okay, but the change should be apparent right? Cause I didn't notice anything happen to my character I just figured better safe then sorry so I wanted to make sure.

like Pavichokche said there are a lot of codes. so it's good to look up what there is so that you know what to watch out for. the thing is that unless the leader is the hacker, then you will be victim to his/her hacking/cheating. now ask for the people who have 60%s and crazy rares going on, even when their not leader.
this is what it means.

a cheater basicly has to activate the cheat in the game, but when he saves some of the cheaters stay active on the player even if the hack isn't in affect.

meaning, since that person was cheating, he forgot to quit his game and go back to turn them off completely.

for to make it simple.
if someone has those cheats working it wont affect you unless they are the leader.

also beware that the drop cheats, and 60% element cheat can effect other players if the leader has those cheats active.

Will there be any action to nullify or suppress this? All this thought into something that is detrimental to the online community is wasteful.

Only people with GEN-D3 (and D2 perhaps) can get online in the first place. So it's only the fraction of those people who actually use the codes (and feel it necessary to use them ONLINE) that can be harmful. Unless PSN somehow changes, then those people will be able to continue. Oh yeah, also you can make an effort to report them...

it would have been nicer if they had real gms log on to view the parties and check the people out so that they can kick them right there.

i mean. i've already seen InfamousNugz show up on psp2..... it's already bad enough i saw him in a game..

Hah, really though, there are so many. You'd think would make a little effort to stop it. Almost my entire leaders boards is just hacked stats :/

I believe RubyEclipse (?) accounced that sega+sony is fixing the whitewing registration code & hopefully would be done sometime next month. Hopefully that would help filter out the hackers.

You can make an effort to report them...

The question is if Sega/Sony/whatever third party they hired to moderate. Actually DOES anything.

Remember the One moderator from GCN PSO?

...no?

That'd probably be because he only worked two days a week.

Point: Reporting may not do anything if the moderation team doesn't exist/is lazy/whatever corporate excuse we're given.

I mean, do we have any reliable proof to say that they will be handing out bans and warnings this time around?

Honestly, I'd be more interested in any other preventative measures we (as regular players) could take against malicious fuckwits.

I don't mind if you cheat aesthetically or offline or some rot, but when it starts ruining MY fun, you cross the line into douche territory. And that's when we need a mod to deal with you.

They should hire me then...I'm anal about that stuff...

I'm totally giving a resume to SoA

Same. I stopped talking to a lot of people i used to like because they had a hacker help them.. reported few friends and whatnot. They should totally get a Player Moderation System set up..(PMS heheheh...) But really, that would help a lot. Get some trustworty/anal-about-cheating type people, tell them the rules and things to watch out for, give them temporary banning powers(banned until a normal moderator looks at said account) and send them on their way to rid the game of hackers and pervs!8-)

I second this notion. Ive gotten to the point where I remove anyone that has used a cheat from my own parties, and i leave parties if the owner doesn't remove them. I try to report every one that i can.

Scau-Demon
Oct 26, 2010, 05:50 PM
Same. If I see a lvl 200 I get their partner cards, check their kills and mission counts, if it seems lo for a lvl 200 i usually kick them, or have party leader do so.
Let's march down to sega's offices with signs and demand a moderation group!!!
Or sending them a polite e-mail or something could work too I suppose...

DarkPhoton
Oct 26, 2010, 05:52 PM
I'm already on it XD

Maybe we should have a petition signed.....

Scau-Demon
Oct 26, 2010, 05:55 PM
Ooooh. I'll sign it!
You really sending them an e-mail thingy? I...Love...You! I would buuut... I don't know where to send it.

DarkPhoton
Oct 26, 2010, 05:58 PM
Yes I am... as well as a resume to fill in the position.

Scau-Demon
Oct 26, 2010, 06:01 PM
Ooh, nice. What exactly are you including on the resume? I would apply for an official position, but I'm only 17. so player moderator status is the best I can hope for at the moment.

DarkPhoton
Oct 26, 2010, 06:02 PM
The same things I always put on my resume.

Schooling, training, jobs, experience yadda yadda.

I think my strongest arguments for this job is that i was a security guard for about 5 years in las vegas, and that I held manager positions..

Scau-Demon
Oct 26, 2010, 06:08 PM
Yep, because having experience as a las vegas security guard helps with moderating a video game ^^
Anyways, I'm just hoping for the player moderation system to be accepted, and me being accepted into that.

DarkPhoton- Keeping robbers out of casinos and hackers out of game lobbies since 1983.
Anyways.. if they do have a player moderating thing set up in the future, any idea how one would be accepted into such a program?

DarkPhoton
Oct 26, 2010, 06:58 PM
Probably by not being reported, and being vigilant in reporting the ones that do break the rules.

Scau-Demon
Oct 26, 2010, 07:09 PM
well, i was assuming that was obvious, I was speaking of anything special, ask for it, talk to a mod?
I love how were having this serious conversation here.. one post over were being completely random and stupid. heh, gotta love it.
