this is what my brother and i think (though he said it out loud), or it may be true. *shrugs*

rei is the other half of koaru, koaru is the other half of rei. why kaoru acts and feels the way he does is because rei could not express her feelings towards shinji nor show emotions. koaru on the otherhand, seems to be a little too close to shinji because of it.

here's a little example (not really an example, but you get the point):
in the end of evangelion, when rei (after merging with lilith) is coming towards eva 01 (with the lance of longinus entwined already), shinji sees koaru instead of rei at one point.

Oh, and i also went off to find Beethovens 9th just cause it was used in Eva. Spent ages trying to find it though cause i thought it was actually a piece by Bach and only found it by pure accident why trolling through classical cds. The use of classical music in Evangelion is amazing and is one of my favourite things about the series. Anyone know where i can get a complete list of the classical music used in the series? (and the name of the piece played in 'Deaths' end credits?)

There ARE two Evangelion hentai movies, but... they're about as fanmade as you can GET. I haven't seen either one, but I can assure you that they're just about as unofficial as you can get.
