GC: Probably been said hundreds of times but how do you get

I am new to the world of PSO but am learning, how do you get the Mag cells?
Please help yes I am slow but the gamecube version of PSO only came out in the UK on the 7th of marchand my knowlage of rare items and how to obtain them is a bit sparse.
I don't have one favourite part of PSO EP 1 and 2 I think the whole game is great worth every penny and can't wait to see if sega have a sequal up there sleeves.
I was reading one of the forums and noticed that someone was complaining about the transfer message coming up and then they lost all there items I would just like to report that it happened to me as well and am trying to find the source of the problem.

you get them from items that rare rappies drop
