Is the Soul Eater worth it?

Seems to me like it's a lot of trouble to go through just for a weapon with 185ATP and that also steals your HP. Is it worth it?

i'd say so if you are doing the guild quests anyway you can get it quite early in the game plus it looks quite good.

It's useful if you pick it up first time through Normal mode.

Ya I think its a good weapon if you don't have any rares or better items at the time you pick it up.

It is one of the better weapons you could pick up early on in the game, and for that reason, it can be useful.

OMG i love that weapon its sooo cool even though it steals your HP its still a great weapon

Combined with a mag with good POW stats, I find Soul Eater is pretty useful for power lvling newly made characters.

Yes...but at the same time no. It's good to give to low level characters because of it's low ATP requirements. But then, when you're over level 100 and getting it in Normal mode (like me http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif) not really. It's nice to give to people who are lower leveled than you (I ended up giving it to my brother).

I just recently got one after defeating all the quests on Ultimate the other day. I like it because it is a great newbie weapon. I am continuosly creating new characters so it helps for them. I recently put it on my newest FOmar who is going to be a combat based FOmar.

I agree with Anubis if you make new chars all the time it can help them, plus i would say for a noob weapon is pretty good i still use it once in a while!
