It says it nets about 200k people a year. Cons in America don't get that much. Highest population con has about 60k a year, next being about 30k, and those convention centers are stuffed as hell. I can't think of a building that can hold 200k people that's suitable for a con, so I'm asking if it's like an area rather than one building.

Ah yeah, kinda.
Parc des Expositions Villepinte (where it takes place since... 2006 I think) is a place made of several huge buildings (which they call halls) interconnected one with another.

As you can see, we could navigate between four halls with one ticket: the hall for Japan Expo (the one on this map), the hall for live events (called JE Live House on the map, which had way more space than needed - on Friday at least), the main stage for other events (cosplays, demos, etc.), and another hall about the same size as the one for Japan Expo that was used for the Comic'Con taking place at the same time (where I actually ended up spending most of my day, because Akira Yamaoka was there).

Here's a pic of about one quarter of the Japan Expo hall in 2008 (you can see the "Jardin Intérieur" (Inner Courtyard) in the background to get a better idea of the hall size):

Haven't really seen anything from US cons, but our Japan Expo doesn't seem any bigger.
Sure Japan Expo is packed as hell on Saturdays and Sundays (which is why I don't go those days anymore), but Thursdays and Fridays aren't that populated. Many people on the JE side, but not that much on the Comic'Con side, and I didn't even have to queue to get inside.

200k people during those four days is way too much. My theory is whatever source you got that from merged the visitors number from all Japan Expo taking place in France each year. Ah yeah, kinda.
Parc des Expositions Villepinte (where it takes place since... 2006 I think) is a place made of several huge buildings (which they call halls) interconnected one with another.

As you can see, we could navigate between four halls with one ticket: the hall for Japan Expo (the one on this map), the hall for live events (called JE Live House on the map, which had way more space than needed - on Friday at least), the main stage for other events (cosplays, demos, etc.), and another hall about the same size as the one for Japan Expo that was used for the Comic'Con taking place at the same time (where I actually ended up spending most of my day, because Akira Yamaoka was there).

Here's a pic of about one quarter of the Japan Expo hall in 2008 (you can see the "Jardin Intérieur" (Inner Courtyard) in the background to get a better idea of the hall size):

Haven't really seen anything from US cons, but our Japan Expo doesn't seem any bigger.
Sure Japan Expo is packed as hell on Saturdays and Sundays (which is why I don't go those days anymore), but Thursdays and Fridays aren't that populated. Many people on the JE side, but not that much on the Comic'Con side, and I didn't even have to queue to get inside.

I was in a friend's wedding party a month or so ago, and the pictures finally made it online. Most of them were super boring, but there was one great one of me doing a freeze-frame high five with my roommate (Figure 1) and another of me walking and staring off into the future (Figure 2). There was also one of me gazing approvingly at the ceremony and looking like I have a sideburn, even though I don't (Figure 3).

Both these images were taken from a party last Sunday. (8/7/2011) They're a bit blurry though. I liked this first one because the fact my face was closest to the camera but my arm still reached around everyone to the back gives the illusion that I'm big (in reality I'm pretty average for around here, 5'10", 190lbs give or take 10 depending on diet.)
