Shifta/Deband Merge + S.Red Blade

When one has the Shifta or Deband Merge equipped, does the range of Shifta/Deband double when one uses the S.Red Blade's special, which casts Shifta or Deband?

On a related note, aspects such as the Shifta Merge and force class specials only increase the range or Shifta, but not the power correct?

Yes, it increases the range of S-Reds.
No, it does not increase magnitude of its effect.

This is an unrelated question, but rather than flood the board with threads containing my questions, I'll ask it here.

There is a fourth trap icon for the casts, but one never obtains any trap of that type. Was it removed from, say, DC PSO or beta? Or was it never implemented?

Battle mode only. Thats a slow trap if your wondering.
