The Nintendo 3DS is just a month away and so far it looks very good.

Would you like to see a sequel to PSZ on the 3DS?

You decide.

Yes I would. While PSZ isn't as graphically pleasing as PSP2 or nearly as expansive it does have a lot of advantages;

- I have to go to work but I will edit this post when I get back tonight, I don't have the time to post what I would like to right now.

I love that idea, now it has an analog stick it wouldn't be much of a problem of selecting items/ weapons while running(that was for me the biggest flaw in PSZ)

1 Universal Friend Code for each 3DS is one of the most convenient things Nintendo has done with the 3DS in terms of multiplayer.

But otherwise, I would not mind a sequel to this. I haven't owned PSZ for long (Christmas >.>) Since I've only recently gotten into PSO in general. But even so, since I never was able to play PSO with online (Because I got the game by the time the servers were down for a while), but even so, I found PSZ to be enjoyable both on and offline.

And with the 3DS having better graphics, that would be good. And as Kenbog said, the "being able to change items while moving" thing is always helpful.

Oh, and 3D.

EDIT: I just realized how odd "Phantasy Star Ø 2" would look to someone who has no knowledge of the series. >.>

whats Universal Freind Codes?

One friend code for each 3DS, which works with every 3DS game you use Wi-fi for on it.

For example:
The Friend Code on your 3DS is 1005-4579-8795
That friend code works with every 3DS game you use on the system
So if I was playing Phantasy Star Zero Sequel and lets say, a Pokemon game that also uses Wi-fi, they would both use the friend code of 1005-4579-8759.

So no more "A bunch of Friend codes for different DS games."
Just "1 Friend Code for my system, and every 3DS game I use on it."

Yep. That really got tiresome having to have a different friend code for each and every game. It truly put a wall in the idea of trying to make the Nintendo more community driven. The idea of connecting with like gamers who play similar kinds of games has always been a major beneficial selling point (and a point of quality control for the gamers) since Live first established that.

Another thing I hope they do with 3DS is establish network connection protocols strictly on the portable, not on the carts. That way if the console adopts a wider or better Network security protocol, the carts aren't locked into the old protocols. Which kind of sucks because I have to have WEP security just for the Nintendo DS. Sure, the DSi can do WPA, but none of the DS carts do it. So of course, for PSZ, Dragon Quest IX, Professor Layton, etc. It's back to WEP.

No, not really. Though I wouldn't mind seeing a graphically and mechanically updated remake for XBL Arcade and PSN.

if there going to bring it to playstation, they should do it all the wya, either move PSO2 to it or make a new PS game for it, a downloadable little phantasy star just sounds like another excuse to not update ever

A phantasy star online game for the 3DS would be great. Why not someone start an online petition and send it to sega. That how Tales of Heart (if you know of the game) is coming to North America.

I must confess... no.

And that, probably for the most selfish reason ever: I just got a DSi (well, a DS really) and wouldn't mind sticking with it for a couple years, so when my DSi will die, I'll consider getting a [insert version of 3DS that will be out at the time] and start to hope for a PSZ on it.

Playing a PSZ with the awesome 3DS analog would be so so nice though...

don't haaate meeeeee

One correction: I don't want ANY connection to the horrid monster that was PSZ's story.

Here Here Just take the story out and make online only quests :) PSZ wins for corniest storyline ever! WHAT? It had a storyline? LOL Hopefully they will do it better Seth. Hopefully but to be honest sega has not been a good storyteller in years anyway. B Button B Button B Button B Button B Button B Button B Button B Button ;)

Yeah. The story was really just a mechanism to pull players through normal mode. It felt artificial that you ran each area once in the story. The combat system could also use some refinements such as:

1. Faster. PSZ's just felt a bit too slow.
2. Slow down movement when charging PAs or Techs, to help balance it out.

There are other things I could nitpick at, but those are the biggest changes I'd like. Oh:

Make X button a 4th action slot rather than the lame auto-gather button. I use it, but I'd much prefer the extra 2 actions. Especially on my FOnewearl.

I would like to see them tweak Ranger Class a bit since they felt a little unbalanced to the rest of the cast

Seth Astra
Feb 26, 2011, 01:05 AM
Oh, yeah, that too. Perhaps basing gun damage on the character's ATA + gun's ATP. That'd at least fix the issue of HUcast being, for the most part, the best ranger.

Same here, its going to be great.

also, i liked the story, sure it was corny at times but it wasn't terrible, especially for Sega, *glares at Sonic Unleashed and shudders at remembering the storyline*

Oh heck yeah good to know I was not the only 1 thinking about this idea, that would be epic!
