Piping for a Hildetorr

I've noticed that a Hildetorr's unlike any other rare enemy. When I pipe for the other rare monsters, they usually appear within an hour, and even less than that. Now, with a Hildetorr, it's a lot different. I've piped for one back then for nearly 2 hrs in Letter from Lionel quest, but nothing. I finally saw a Hildetorr yesterday doing a normal Ult. Forest run with my Yellowboze HUcast -- sadly, though, it dropped a crappy Calibur +1 -- so that gave me the will to pipe for one.

After about 1 1/2 hrs of piping, I gave up. And, if I add it to my previous piping... that's nearly 4 hrs without a Hildetorr.

What's up with these Hildetorrs, anyway? I have no problems getting a Pal Rappy, Mil Lily, Pouilly Slime to show up... but these guys, they're just a pain. What's the average time you guys have spent piping for a Hildetorr?

You can get like 8-9 or something rappies on screen for piping at once so that vastly increases your chances over the 3 at most (I think) on the lionel quest. It literally cuts your chances in half.

Or maybe they're just more rare, I dunno.

Actually, you can have up to 8 Hildelts on the screen in Forest of Sorrow. It was either Raist or Vulpes who posted how to do it awhile ago, I think. I'm not quite sure. Anyway, I usually pipe with 6 Hildelts. There are 2 behind the wire fence at the side of the big room, one in the far room after you kill the Rappies, and if you walk into the middle of the final room, you can get a Hildelt to drop down having 6 on the screen. Then pipe away. It usually takes me half an hour to get one Hildetorr, but since I got the Frozen Shooter from it, I'm not really looking for them now. Hope that helps in your search.

The problem with that is you have to waste a lot of time running back and forth between rooms. In the long run it would be easier and quicker to pipe for four Hildes in the southeast room.

It all depends on luck. My friend was piping for a Hildetorr for me and found one in 7 minutes. Other times i've piped for one and not found one in well over an hour.

What i have noticed is Hildetorrs seem to appear more quickly at night.(not sure what the beats are). I don't know if this really has anything to do with how quickly they show up but it has worked for me so far.

Grrr..don't remind me about hildetorrs. It took me 9 hours, and 7 torrs to find what i was looking for. First night was 5 hours and 2 hildetorrs..nothing. Second night was 4 hours and 5 hildetorrs..the 7th finally giving me my stone. So just keep at it and good luck.

Never really looked for Hildettors, I'm not too excited to grab a Red Saber. I've seen 2 Hildettors, 1 offline in Lionels letter (no piping, he was just chillin.) And another online. The one offline killed me >_<, and the one online dropped a monomate...

well...im having enough trouble finding mil lilys....or not so much finding them, cause iv foudn 4 piping, and NEVER GOT MY DEMO COMET!! But i HAVE noticed they appear in bursts, for instance, during the 500's beat time, one in about every 10 rappies is fat, and about 1 in every 150 is a pal rappy. Im yet to figure out what the beat times are for others, though i AM trying.

One thing, maybe everyone write down and post someplace the beat times of finding rare monsters??? that would help out...

how do you get 4 hildelts in one screen?? ive been working with three and have used well over 500 telepipes, and havent seen one yet

I found my first hildetor in about 45 min of piping. I also got what i was looking for (a frozen shooter)on the first try.
