So, yeah, I'm excited. Very excited, indeed.

The recent deluge of trailers has done absolutely nothing for my patience.

...Yeah, their marketing department's been busy. ;-) Finally, those of you without monster PCs get to experience the joy and wonder of the nanosuit. It really is a blast to play with.

btw, i should mention this, but the people behind Timesplitters 1, 2, and Future Perfect helped with this game's multiplayer. go Free Radical!

Well, if it's anything like the first one, it will be like Avatar. Pretty to look at but not pretty to play/watch. In fact, if they didn't change the gameplay, it will be just as god awful. Especially if the pc users don't have top of the line pc's. Remember how virtually NO one was able to run the first one properly?

Well, when the demo comes out, I'll see if they can change my tune. Especially since Bioware made me decide on passing on Dragon Age 2 with the changes they made.

I played the Multiplayer Beta on Xbox 360. It's very pretty, but I feel like there's a lot going on. It has somewhat of a Call of Duty feel to it but with random power-ups. I never played the first one so I can't vouch for any changes for better/worse. The main thing that turns me off is that shield power which basically buys time for someone else to come around and kill you. It was the whole reason I was done with Halo.

I'd get it for a change of pace, but I wouldn't prioritize it over other games atm.

It's visually stunning, but I'm concerned about the single player campaign. The stories from previous Crysis games have been pretty disposable, and the gameplay mechanics weren't particularly polished. However, I'm glad they streamlined the nanosuit powers. The previous system was incredibly cumbersome.

If you have no imagination, sure.

I still don't understand why people say this. It was the best damn shooter ever released for its time and, frankly, I still haven't played anything since that can eclipse it.

Show me another game where you can grab someone by the throat, activate super-strength, and toss them into a shack house with enough force to send that entire building tumbling down, please.

Or sprint around an entire enemy force in the space of a second, pick up an explosive barrel, toss it into the mass, and then blow it up before they even realize you're there.

Or spend the entire game doing nothing but running up to gun-toting soldiers with super-speed and punching them to death. ("Fists only" run - only in Crysis!)

I really get the impression that people who didn't like the original had no imagination. Once you're familiar with the suit abilities, the sheer number of combinations is mesmerizing. Each and every single scenario plays out differently depending on how you use them. You just have to think outside the "cloak and headshot" box.

(Also, the game ran fine. People just feel insulted when they have to run on "Low" or "Medium", even if the game looks great at those settings.)

Is there going to be a single-player demo? The multiplayer demo was okay, but it was nothing to write home about.

I don't know. Nowadays FPS's just have multiplayer demos because that's where the market is - online competitive play.

I think I did something like this in FarCry Instincts. Except FarCry didn't look that pretty and have aliens.

Yeah FarCry was basically going into uber mutant mode and raping soldiers in the face.

Pretty good map creator though.
