"This message is encoded and cannot be read." in Protectors Epsilon?

A friend and I stumbled across what looks like a lock device for doors in VR Stage 1, but when you hit A near it, you get a message like "This message is encoded and cannot be read." Any ideas what it is, and if it's possible, how to "decode" it?

Also u have to earn an S rank in temple of traps and will of light on any difficulty and I did none of them so no reward for me :(
