View Full Version : When does PSO Ver. 2 on the dreamcast autosave? (if ever)

I was playing last night on my new character and I had finished quite a few missions before starting "black paper". When I finished it, my game crashed. My question is, does PSO ever autosave at all or did I lose all of my progress?

I am pretty sure that it doesn't autosave pretty much at all. The only way to get it to save is by going to the start menu and quitting the game.

CD-R pso v2 right? aka not original copy?
Anyway, most burned pso v2 have problems in certain quests, you can avoid the FSOD if you search around the web for a guide, but it basicly involves piping to pionner and talking to someone before talking to a problematic npc in the quest, asside from that the game works great.

The game only saves after you quit the game, so you lost all your progress and you have to repeat it again.

As for doing quests, i only recomend doing them if:
- you are on normal/hard and need some diversity when fighting groups of enemies
- the quest(s) has/have prizes
- it's fun.

If you're playing on vhard or ultimate or if the quest doesn't have prizes at all, then it should be avoided as rare drops...do not drop and experience is limited.

PSO only autosaved when you were disconnected from the dial up internet.
