Hey guys just wanted to ask what everybody uses on the battlefield. Just name what weapon types you have on your wheel and what class you are

My character is a Hunter and my wheel has the following

Saber/Pistol
Twin Sabers
Spear
Double Saber
Sword

I am more or less the hand to hand type so this set I am very comfortable with.

Chaos Rappy
May 14, 2011, 03:52 PM
Twin Sabers (Hyakka Ryouran, Twin Cannon, or Sangeyasha, usually)
Double Saber/Spear (Absolute Blade or Double Cannon/Cho Hee)
Rod (Psycho Wand)
Twin Daggers (Twin Kamui or Lavis Blades)
*area-specific weapon* (Varies from Twin Sabers, Twin Daggers, Shield/Saber, or any other weapon that would work for the mission)
Twin Handguns (Kanon Quolia, T.Yasminkov 2000H, or Obsidian, depending)

Character's a Female Newman Vanguard.

May 14, 2011, 03:52 PM
pistol/whip
shield/wand
rod
longbow
card/wand

my character is a force/newman.

I actually use the shield/wand setup alot, the other weapons are just for situational purposes.

Human Hunter

Sword
Twin Daggers
Rod (for emergency heals and debuffs)/Shield-Saber
Twin Sabers/another sword
Rifle/Twin Handguns
Rod (for heals and buffs)

This is what I have generally, but it changes slightly with each mission

Depends on the mission I'm doing. Could be any combination of:

-Knuckles
-Spears
-Double sabers
-Axes
-Twin sabers
-Twin daggers
-Twin claws
-Sabers
-Shields

For whom I put work into maining now:

Double saber (Vivienne only lol)
Knuckles
Sabers
Daggers
Claws
Whips
Slicers
Handguns
R-Mags
Cards
Wands
Rods
TECH-Mags
Shields

And that would be a Human Female Force.

Broken_L_button
May 14, 2011, 06:05 PM
For my FOcaseal:

-Double saber (Vivienneto chain crowds/Twin blaze for crowds and using adverse attacker)
-Twin saber
-Axes
-Swords
-Twin handguns
-Rods

Most of the time, it's only T. handguns+Rods. The double sabers are just there if I plan on using Gi-techs more often and the T.saber/Sword/axe are only used if the area has a lot of enemies resistant both techs and guns.

For my Beast Force:

-Double saber
-T. Saber/T. claws
-Slicers
-Handgun/T. Handgun (purely for traps and other objects my slicer can't hit)
-Rods

Most of the time, her palette is pretty much only rods...Unless the area has a lot of tech-resistant critters.

For my vangaurd I use:
Shippujinlai/Milla
Gekkavajinn/Some tech mag I can't remember the name to
Rengoku Gren/Victory
Lightning Espada
Hyakkaryoran
Ryuhojidou rod(replacing with psycho wand when obtained)

I admit I prefere the Melee based weapons just a bit.

Boney010
May 14, 2011, 07:05 PM
my setup as RAcast and RAmar is mostly

-Melee weapon(ED :ground:, DD :light:, SY :fire::ice::light:, Twin Cannon :dark:, Kronos keis :dark:)
-Twin Handgun weapon(Guld-Milla :lightning:, Pandora Extreme :light::dark::ground:)
-Shotgun weapon(rainbow set Spread Needles)
-Rifle weapon( killer elite :light:, skull sorc :dark:, black rebellion :lightning:)
-Grenade weapon(Panzer faust :ice:, gur las sagitus :light:)
-Rod(Psycho wand)

i'll sometimes switch out the shotgun slot for another melee when there's too many range resistant enemies

for HU/VA, this is the setup

-Twin Saber weapon (ED :ground:, DD :light:, SY :fire::ice::light:, Twin Cannon :dark:)
-Twin Handgun weapon(Guld-Milla :lightning:, Pandora Extreme :light::dark::ground:)
-Double Saber weapon(Kronos keis :dark:)
-Rod(Psycho wand)

i'll use the extra slots for more twin sabers... if it calls for it that is lol

Emp
May 14, 2011, 07:31 PM
Im HUcast.

-43 :light: Guld- Milla(Tguns)
-42 :light: Sangeyasha(Tsabers)
-58 :ice: Psycho Wand(Rod)
-55 :dark: Lavis Blades(Tdaggers)
-51 :dark: Twin Cannon(Tsabers)
-29 :dark: Pandora Extreme(Tguns)

Theres nothing much that is different with my Attack wheel when Im vangaurd. I sub out both of my twin handguns for my  Obsidian(Tguns) and add in my  Tumikiri Hyoris(Tdaggers).

May 14, 2011, 07:37 PM
Here's mine:

- Twin Saber (General melee and element depends on the mission).
- Twin Daggers (Tsukimiri Hyori only, for quick incap purposes).
- Knuckles (General melee also) | Swords (they do wonders on PSP2i, lol)
- Rod (Healing/buffing).
- Saber & Handgun | Twin Handguns (chaining, and stuff).
- Spears (One of my most favorite type of weapons D: )

Atm for my Ranger C. Male

Shotgun CII (Spread Needle :ground:, stun baby)
Laser CII (Degahna Cannon  and i got plenty of better cannons, but i just love this one :3)
Twin Handgun CI (Guld Milla :fire::ice::dark: & Twin Yasminov :lightning::ground: and Twin Glasher :light:)
Shotgun CII (Spread Needle :lightning: or different Shotgun element, but always with a stun effect) / Grenade Launcher CI :light: (Bosses pretty much besides that new dragon, seems to dispel the shots also wrong element...;O)
Rifle CI (Infinite Corundum :dark: or Yasminkov 3000 serie :lightning::ground::fire::light: and one other with :ice:)
Rod (Shifta/Resta + Zalure /Jellen)

I haven´t got a real use for a melee backup.
So i usually just chain up with my Twinnies and go town with Shotgun for a finisher for bigger foes. ;D
Bosses is a different story, Rifle or Grenade Launcher all the way.
Unless it´s like Mother Brain or something pitiful, chain and Shotgun to the face! :O
MADNESS!

Sorry, couldn´t help myself. XD

Rods (square - triangle, - R+square - R+Triangle)

• All purpose Rod— :lightning:Sazonde :light: Damgrants, :fire:Fobasu :fire:Gifoie (got the general setup from an infinity megashi youtube run. Pretty sure it was somebody on this forum)
• Boost Rod— :ice:deband :fire:shifta, :fire:Fobasu :light:Resta Lv10
• Wand w/ :lightning:sazonde + Shield (for when I know I won't be able to roll dodge - usually only considered against certain bosses)
• Earth— :ground:Radiga :ground: Diga, X :ground:Gidiga
• Light— :light:Grants :light:Damgrants (companion for Wand, as it allows blocking)
• Longbow CSII (for tech resistants - only for chain break)

I'll go through almost any mission only using the all-purpose and boost rod, excepting ones with many light, fire or tech resistants.

It seems that most forces prefer to be able to block with their rods over having 2 extra techs present. Do you guys find blocking really that important with them? I'm finding that techs present a large 'no block' void in comparison with most weapon attacks/ PAs, and prefer to roll knowing there won't be a chance of me smiling there and eating a very heavy hit/ dying. That and foverse helps a lot in this regard now. Not to mention the boost for having techs equipped that share the same element as the rod.

Ceresa
May 19, 2011, 12:38 AM
I don't find block particularly important, although I potentially would if I ever did something besides Magashi Plan on the way to 140 before getting my Psychowands back.

But I find every tech that isn't sazonde, rarely sabarta, foverse, gi- and diga to be less important than blocking.

And I find a 5-10% tp boost to 1100 tp in an ocean of 3300tp that only applies 1/6 of the time to large single targets and 4/6 of the time to trash mobs that are already dead to be utterly worthless.

Jonias86
May 19, 2011, 01:38 AM
I guess it really depends on how the persons tends to use there force character in general

Keep in mind that the linking bonus only applies when the rod element and tech element match and the enemy is the opposite element to the rod and tech.

Against bosses you'll generally be using Gizonde, and against large enemies you'll generally be using Sazonde, Diga, or Nosdiga to break chains regardless of the enemy element, so the bonus won't apply anyway.

Against small enemies the bonus isn't really necessary, in most cases it won't even lead to an actual difference in minimum chain required to finish off mobs.

I only ever play Force in Dying Galaxy, so the whole element thing is moot anyway.

Crystal_Shard
May 19, 2011, 02:51 AM
Another case for blocking over 2 extra techs.

Those two extra techs aren't going to help any if you're facing Dark Falz or Angelus and they start their respective unavoidable attacks.

MESeele
May 19, 2011, 01:43 PM
I see. I've been using damgrants for breaking bosses. Haven't actually used gizonde a lot, so I can't say I know how useful it is. Is gidiga that much stronger than gifoie (and the series in general)? I've been using the latter since my diga series tech levels are only low 20s.

As for Dark Falz and Angelus, I just switch to my wand/ shield combo during that time.

Beast Vanguard:
Twin sabers x3 - I carry a full elemental set split between Sangeyasha, Demon's devastation, eternal dimension and the two new twins (the axeon one and the flaming swords one) and switch for the mission
Tsumiriki-Hyori if I feel like being a dick and ruining chains
Medusa whip & an extended nakon (it's cute!) for gaining PP and spam healing, also Foverse.
And a filler, usually a 1% ice ryo-bisotore for chaining with a miniscule freeze chance, or Kamui & Avenger for that delicious bugei ranged damage bonus.
Evasion is key, but I can usually block if need be. Tend not to have to, but incoming spells are often a good reason to move out of the line of fire.

CAST Vanguard (was Ranger until Ignite Arts)
Shotgun x2 (stun extended spread needles at the moment)
Laser cannon
Grenade
Gudda Iggac (it's Iggy Rimit after all!)
Twinguns for chains
She rolls and blocks, as a tide over from being a ranger. Probably doesnt need to half the time due to Vanny being bent.

Newman Vanguard (was ranger for card bullets)
Wand & Mechgun (Sabarta & Zalure)
Wand & Card (Resta & Grants, grants is a great finisher while the charge shot card homes in, nice lot of damage to end a chain)
Wand & Crossbow (Foverse & Jellen, circling with foverse lends itself better to crossbow's point blank charge shot)
Twinguns (GRM stun extended 13*)
Shotgun
Rod (buffs, resta, damgrants)
Relies on hax evasion too much, I don't roll nearly enough. Bad habit, should have never gotten used to it.

Duman Ranger
Twinguns x2
Shotgun x2
Grenade for bosses
Saber & Machinegun
Uses blast more often than any other character, ranger infinity blast is so easy and safe to use compared to others.

Human Hunter:

Kokuintou Houzuki - Sword
Excalibur - Sword
Lolliipop - Axe
Phantom - Rifle
Gur Neda - Grendade Launcher
PakuPaku Branch - Rod

Swords are my favorite - I like high damages from low numbers of hits (Excalibur does 1500+), the Rifle I use for flying things and the Grenade Launcher when I'm bored :) . I use the Rod for healing and stat boosting mainly when playing online with new players.
