his psn account may have been compromised and he wants to make a new one & was wondering if he made a new one will the games he got from the psn store be useable on his new account?they are a digital copy of the games & not umd's.

No. When you purchase games from PSN, the account used to buy them is the one that is needed to activate them. If he makes a new account, he will have to rebuy those games

Yeah...Digital purchases thru PSN are account bound.

It may be inconvenient, but it's there as a safety net to keep people from "game sharing". Same goes for DLC as well.

Sony is working really hard on re-securing the accounts. If he can, have him change his email ASAP and password to something he uses for nowhere else. Hopefully Sony will fix their easy-to-work-around password/email reset though.:/
