Google's homepage icon is currently a guitar. You can move your mouse over the strings to play notes or you can click the keyboard to play notes with your keyboard.

All three letter lines of your keyboard work in the fourth (?) octave plus two more notes up. For the top one:

q = middle C
w = D
e = E
r = F
t = G
y = A
u = B
i = C
o = D
p = E

I managed to play this first part of a tune...the // is a short pause:
u i u y t // q // t r e w e

Anyone know the tune?

Then there's Happy Birthday:
q q w q e w // q q w q t r // q q i y r e w // u u u t y t

Anyone know any more?

p = E

Not sure of the first one.

Ok, here's mine. // for Short pause. // // For longer one.

1. r y u // r y u // r y u p o // u i u t e // w t w e //
r y u // r y u // r y u p o // u i u t e // w t w e //
w e r // t y u // i u e // // w e r // t y u // i u p // //

^ Some will get this on the first line. Who knew Ryu could be involved in a totally different game?

2. w // r // t t t y // // y i // u // t t t y // //
w // r // t t t y // // i o // u u // t // y

^ Hint: It's a movie.

3. e // r t // i // // w // e r //

^ Another movie.

Ryu? Would that be Street Fighter? I've never played that, though.

The second one reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean, but it's not it.

Can anyone do Inception or does it have flats 'n sharps?

1. R Y U was the name of the keys I have repeated in the start of the musical lines. However, the song they play is from a very very famous videogame.

2. The second one is tough to notate in this method as I'd have to go a bit more technical to make it just right. However, it's the main travel theme from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

3. The third, well, it's something that many fans of this incredibly famous movie series would recognize right away.

Here it is with me playing it and the next line of it on google Guitar utilizing both the keyboard and the mouse to strum chords while I play the keyboard.

Correct on 1. Saria's Song. Ocarina of Time.

It's from Ocarina of Time, your Ryu song, right? I think it's Kokiri forest? Or however that's spelled. I didn't play too much of that game, to be honest. I KNEW I knew the second song from somewhere, I just couldn't remember where, haha.

I tried doing the Tetris theme, and it can kind of work a bit out of key, but you should really be starting it in the key of E. Since the simulation guitar is limited in range though, I don't think it can be completed. I could be wrong, I don't know.

p uio iuy yip oiuio p i y y

That's in key. You can kind of make it work by starting off with t, but it sounds a bit off and you can only semi-effectively play it for a little while longer than when it's in-key.

I can play most of the old nursery rhyme 'Frere Jacques' on it.

Keys are:
Q W E Q Q W E Q E R T E R T T Y T R E Q T Y T R E Q

Can't figure out the end at the minute, it seems to go too low.

For 'Frere Jacques'

Start with T and you can do the whole thing. That song requires 1 whole step about an octave range. Fortunately, it fits within there.

t y u t t y u t u i o // u i o // o p o i u // t // o p o i u // t // t w t // t w t //

And just for fun, I'll put in the beginning of the Phantasy Star "Forces of Nature" Theme I posted some time back.

e // i // // u e // // i b y w // e // // y y

It's from the one featured in post # 2 here:

Most of the songs I know how to play have sharps or flats in them. That makes it a little difficult. <_>

You usually have to transpose. However, a lot of songs change scales in the melody quickly, so you have to cut it short before that happens. If possible.

It's kinda neat though, regardless. I usually just go up a half step, seems to work alright. (e.g. C# to D)

This is a lot of fun to kill some time with, it reminds me of the Animal Crossing town tune.
Does anyone have any PSO songs?

Edit: I had to rush it to make the record time but here's Saria's song: http://goo.gl/doodle/PJuYq

I had some fun with it and put in a bit of work into Saria's Song:
http://goo.gl/doodle/lJVrw

r y u // r y u // r y u p o // u i u t e // w t e
r y u // r y u // r y u p o // u i p u t

And got stuck trying to figure out the rest

Figured out another one: http://goo.gl/doodle/GdQnX

e t y u t // e t y u t // t y u i u y // o i u y t

Now to see if anyone can figure out where it's from.
