every time ive made a new character ive always done the photon drop dupe trick where it gets you x99 monomates or trimates stuff like that. I hope someone know whats im refering to? the whole bank trick? when i do something like that does that cause the game to make me not get any reds to drop anymore? i hear if you cheat it causes your game to not get reds to drop

Yeah, I think it does disable rare drops.

Doing the 99 dupe will indeed prevent you from getting rares.

I can't imagine why you'd need 99 mates.

if any item is stacked higher than the limit (E.G above 10 mates/fluid etc) or a MAG goes over level 200 it makes getting rares almost impossible.

what if i did all that plus duping, and then i dont carry a 99 stack? will it go back to normal, or do i have to start over to find rares again?

Does it only affect the character or all the characters on the memory card and how would one try to fix it would you have to remove the item and delete them by saving while they are on the floor or is it stuck

Sell the items to a shop, then save and quit, and once you're back to the start screen, restart your console. This will enable rares to drop again.

Anything stacked higher than the normal limit cap will cause this safety mechanism to kick in; as that's what the no rare drop is, a safety mechanism to prevent cheating. This includes items, and Mag stats.

Though you'll find many still debating this, weapon stats DO NOT set off this safety mechanism, though I still wouldn't advise using any hack or glitch without knowing the full scope of the hack or glitch first.
