Video recording software?

I'd like to record some gameplay and stuff but was wondering what would be a good program to use?

I'm currently using a laptop with Windows 7, 4GB DDR3 memory, Ati Mobility Radeon HD4250, AMB Phenom II X3 NB30 processor(3core), 320GB HDD.

I'd like to find something balanced enough that i can use with a game on mid-graphics.

I use Camtasia myself. Seems to have a good balance most of the time.

K i'll try the 30 day trial.

Though i cant afford anything at the moment till i can find some work :s would you or anyone know any free ones too? Pay-to-use is fine too i'll still try them out if they have a free-use or trial.

Ones that i know of are Fraps, eh that Livestream program i think if you set it up to just record to desktop.
