The PSP-E1000
Announced a couple days back at Gamescom 2011 was the PSP-E1000 — a budget, UMD-equipped handheld for the PAL folk only — with a suggested retail price of €99.99.
The PSP-E1000 not only looks different (cheaper) it lacks WiFi and stereo speakers (mono only). So really there isn’t anything special about it … other than she’s light on the wallet.

I saw this on fb, but you can google for more information..

If I need a new PSP, I'll probably grab one. I don't use the wi-fi on mine, and I can just use headphones to make up for the lack of a second speaker.

S&%!-full idea for a soon dead system. Sounds good.

Well the PSP did get some exclusives in europe not seen here... though such a model would be for the solo player.

I hear they are doing this to make up for any lost sales the Vita may cause. But WTF is this?! LOL You downgrade the many features of the PSP that made it good. I checked the stats too:

Dimensions :
E-1000 : 172.4 × 73.4 × 21.6 mm (width × height × depth)
PSP-3000 : 169.4 x 71.4 x 18.6 mm (width × height × depth)
PSP-1000 : 170 x 74 x 23 mm (width × height × depth)
Weight :
E-1000 : 223g
PSP-3000 : 189g
PSP-1000 : 260 g
Screen :
E-1000 : 4.3 ”, (16:9),TFT, 16,770,000 colours .
PSP-3000 : 4.3 ”, (16:9),TFT, 16,770,000 colours .
PSP-1000 : 4.3 ”, (16:9),TFT, 16,770,000 colours .
Speakers :
E-1000 : Monaural speaker.
PSP-3000 : Stereo Speakers.
PSP-1000 : Stereo Speakers.

Also noting, the people who got their hands on this could already hack through it like nothing, because it comes preloaded with OFW 6.50. Having absolutely no wifi at all is a tarnished deal imho. It won't be stopping hacking and piracy.

I wonder how heavy it is with the loss of a few things.

Ok, will someone tell me how many different versions of the PSP exist from the start? Seems to me like every year there are multiple version and complaints about it.

I see them as rare things. You know the last three times I took an airplane to go anywhere. I only saw two people playing PSPs and one with a Nintendo DS. Everyone else was using a Tablet, SmartPhone or iPAD to play their games on the terminal and in the airplane.

My interpretation:

Sony has decided it was too easy to play other people online, and has thus removed wi-fi support from the next model of the PSP.

Sounds like a ghetto PSP.

The online aspect of the PSP has never been astounding anyway. I only wish Sony had thrown in some sort of way to interact with the PS3's ad hoc party app as a workaround for games like PSP2 or MGS:PW. Great deal for RPG gamers though.
