I've seen like every Dragon Ball episode and movie known to man.....except this one I recently came across....if you've seen it, then move along....if not, then it's a 30mn mini movie that is pretty decent and if nothin else, it'll bring back some nostalgia. If you just wanna see fighting, skip to part 3.

lol I've seen clips of this, and yeah Akira Toriyamas art is not aging well if you ask me...

Use to love it, now I hate seeing it's new forms...

Does he even still draw it himself anymore? I mean in general, I'm sure actual animations have multiple artists...

Yeah, it does look like a different artist, but I'm way too lazy to look that up and verify that lol.

Uh, Akira Toriyama never worked on the actual animation. Toriyama only made the comic the show is based on and then (presumably) any necessary character turn-arounds the cartoon staff would need.

Anyway, the video you linked is an anniversary special that came out a few years ago:

Yeah that's what I said, or meant at least.

Usually some studio that has multiple artists put some effort into mimmicking the style for the animations. After getting permission from the publishers and creator if Bakuman shows any accuracy...

What I DO think he would still do is official and concept art, for example boxart for a dragon quest game.

Yeah, he's still involved in creating Dragon Quest character & promotional art.

Other than, these days I think he just does the occasional one-shot comic when he's not swimming around in his money bin.

Imagine a pokemon anime using the original red and blue/green art.

Fun fact: You are legally obliged to contract Akira Toriyama for his art style and character designs for any Japanese IP whose title contains the word "Dragon."
