Green Ring says "Equip it with team members to boost luck.":-?

1)What is luck, doe's luck boost my drop rate?

2)Do I have to equip it with other teamates or can i wear it when i solo?

I never understood what the description meant, but in the case of the rings, you need at least one other ally with it to get the bonus.

Luck only affects critical. I think the ring shields only work when multiple people equip them so it may be useless by itself. The ring shields also don't benefit from the rarity x 5 DFP bonus either.
