So after forgetting/losing the default password I was mailed, I decided to try resetting my password. I tried it on this (https://cha.isao.net/profile_oem/OEMPassResetStart.php?product_name=psu&return_url=https://cha.isao.net/profile_oem/OEMLogin.php?product_name=psu) page first, but it said the name I entered (not SEGA ID, but the 'real' name) is incorrect, while I'm confident it is accurate.

Then I proceed to try it on this (https://iway.isao.net/sega/supportform.cgi) page. Using the 'real' name I was able to reset my password, hence my confidence that the name I used is correct. However, after resetting I'm not able to log in with the new password. I also tried resetting it multiple times to no avail. Since I don't remember my old password, I can't try if that one still works.

Anyone got an idea what's going on here? Is it the right page? Do I need to wait a few days for it to take effect?

Just to make sure you know, the login IDs are seperate between PSU and PSO2. You won't be able to use a Sega ID on PSU. PSU uses a PSU-ID which is not a Sega ID.

I see. So in the second password reset page I listed, I was changing the password for my SEGA-ID, which means my PSU-ID's password stays the same. I apparently used a Japanese name different than I used to register for a SEGA ID, which is why the first page gives the error that the name does not exist?

That's correct.


I apparently used a Japanese name different than I used to register for a SEGA ID, which is why the first page gives the error that the name does not exist?
That may be the case if you're positive your PSUID is correct.

That clears up a lot. Thanks. I guess the next step is to try my luck on a support ticket.
