Google Maps in 8-Bit! It's got a nice retro feel to it.

The best part is when you go to street view. Gives you a funky ass 16 bit view. Reminds me of that one Genesis shooter game where the dood is floating and flying forwards and the camera is behind him and your just blasting hell out of anything that moves while avoiding shit.

There are Dragon Quest monsters (and other non-DQ characters) scattered around the world. If you look up Google HQ you'll see two kids and a dinosaur. There's a slime hanging out nearby Square Enix's Japanese HQ.

But the best secret?

Go to the coordinates 0.000000,0.000000 and keep zooming in on the green arrow.
