Mother Brain's shield broken

Hi! I recentrly was fighting Mother Brain in Charged Puzzle S3 and somehow was able to penetrate it's shiled. When it was active it only halved damage directed to Brain's body, wasn't it supposed to nullify it? At least it did when I played Seed Express 3 month ago. Is it a glitch? Or does Charged Puzzle have special version of Mother Brain? Or maybe there is really a way to penetrate it's shield?

It is a random glitch. It has always happened on Mother Brain and the first form of Dulk Fakis. Sometimes you can even get stuck in the shield with her and inflict damage. Also certain photon arts with certain weapons are long enough to connect damage with the hit-boxes outside of the field of vision. There is nothing more to this, nor anything that can be accurately/purposely exploited. Regardless, it is much more time effective to damage both of her big arms and make them fall down in order to deactivate/prevent her from activating her shield instead.
