Question regarding online play access in PSP2

Hey everyone, I've been trying to use the online feature in Phantasy Star Portable 2, but I can't connect to the servers (or I get some sort of error).

I have a Japanese copy of the game, but I live in the United States. Is it impossible for me to play online with a Japanese copy?

Unfortunately, JP PSP2's online play was taken down sometime after Infinity came out. Not sure when exactly, but most of the population had moved over by the time it happened, since the two games aren't compatible. There wasn't even a single star when I checked before they pulled the plug.

[EDIT] And just to clarify, it doesn't matter where you are in the world. You would have been able to play it online when it was up. I'm in the US and used to play JP PSP2 online just fine, and I can still play Infinity online.

Thanks. It's a shame that they took down the servers, but it seems like Infinity is a better online experience anyways.
