...to building perfect mags!
I've decided that instead of posting the same thing every time I want to help someone with mags, I would reveal what I believe to be the keys to perfect mag building.
**A quick note before we begin: if you want a maximum MIND, POW, DEF or DEX mag, the work has has already been done for us here (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1026).

Otherwise, it all starts with this (http://www.pso-world.com/downloads/guides/ricomaxstat/crqmaxstatguidefull.pdf) guide. Determine what kind of build we want, and what kind of mag stats complement that build.

Now that we know what kind of numbers we want, use this (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1016) guide to find a mag that behaves in a way that you like (effects when we enter a boss room, fill PB bar, or are at less than 10% HP). I suggest Rati (or identical) behavior for HUmars and Cast characters (for heals and more importantly, pumps). Nidra (or identical) behavior for everyone else (for the invulnerable effect). Bhima has strange and, in my opinion, less than ideal behavior.

Now that we've decided on a final mag, how do we get there? This (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1031) guide will tell us how to turn a mag into a rare mag of our choice. I like rare mags, because they (for the most part) have great behavior, and will never change again -- no matter what we do to it. Keep in mind that rare mags aren't the only mags that behave well, so getting one isn't of paramount importance to making a premium mag.

There is one more step before we start feeding our little sidekick. Using the flow charts for the hunter (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1240), ranger (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1241), and force (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1238) mag evolutions, we can manipulate what kind of PBs we get.
My personal favorites are Estlla (Attack in a line straight ahead - Kalki), Pilla (powerful radial attack - Mitra), and Mylla&Youlla (pumps - Tapas). Deciding which PBs we want will determine which characters feed it, and what stat we build first.

Finally, we have the task of actually getting to our goal. Use this (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1021) feeding chart to find out how to get our mag where it needs to be and what path it will take to get there.

Whew! There it is. A guide that even a non-PSOer could use to build a perfect mag from scratch. I'm sure most everyone that visits this site knows all this, but I thought I'd put it up for those that don't, or those that do and want it all in one place.
