Once you get the second matterboard, is there any point to completing the first one?

no, you dont get any special reward for completing it. you just get the item rewards for the parts you finish.

Its not just items, some give you passive stat rewards roo. Click on the 2 and 3 tabs to see.

Im tempted to give up on e-5 though. Ive been stuck there forever.
