Error at character selection screen.

Hi, I just downloaded the open beta for pso2 and i made a chacter and everything but when i get to the character selection screen i keep getting this error: "The instruction at 0x00ecd9e9 referenced memory at 0x00000084. The memory could not be read." and then the game closes out. I started on my friends computer and he sent me my character file and everything and i put it in the right folder but still it wont work. I have reinstalled twice already. Any suggestions?
