Decided to make this guide after trying to find out how to add sounds into the chat bubble. I would like to think of this guide as an extension to EvilMonkies refrence guide in addition to the contributors to that guide

EvilMonkey's Emote and Chat Bubble Reference Guide (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196339)

PSU Pedia's Chat Macro guide - http://psupedia.info/Chat_macros

Chat Bubble Macro Guide

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y237/Ghost713/Phantasy%20Star/pso2_chatMacro_2.jpg

Order of Operations

As far as I know the order of operations should look something like this -

[Emote] [Chat Bubble Animation] [Cut-in Chat] [Chat Bubble Boarder modifier] [Text Color] [Misilanious Tag Modifyer] [message goes here]

- Here is a typed out example of what is in the image above -

/la salute /mn15 /ci1 1 /moya {red} <me> This is a test chat macro

There Must be a Space between each modifier
The commands for the Emote, Chat Bubble Animation, Cut-in Chat, and Chat Bubble Boarder Modifier can be found in EvilMonkey's guide. /cla does the opposite gender emote, similar to ctrl+alt+[emote key]. EvilMonkey's Emote and Chat Bubble Reference Guide (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196339)
In addition adding 'nw' after a cut in chat will hide the portrait example - /ci1 1 nw
Adding /vo# , replace the # with 1-9 and it will play back your characters voice emotes.

(this should be the correct order to use the / commands and such.

/la salute /mn15 /vo7 /ci1 1 nw /moya {red} <me> This is a test chat macro

Here is a list of Miscellaneous Tag Modifiers (contributed by Scale of Judgment)

<me> - The character of my name
<t> - Names of people and objects in the target current
<wp> - The name of the currently equipped weapon
<pa> - The name of the photon arts that was used to just before
<tc> - The name of the technique was used
<area> - Name of area you are in
<pos> - Your map coordinates
<class> - Current type and level
<hp> - Maximum HP HP / current
<pp> - Maximum PP PP / current
<skill> - Unknown. Because the command is replaced by a blank, some functionality is pattern.
※ Okikawara also not currently using a class skill.
*Taken from jp pso2 wiki

Usage of Tag Modifiers

These tags will appear where you put them in the text for example -

"<me> test tag" will appear as "JOE test tag"
"test <me> tag" will appear as "test JOE tag"
"test tag <me>" will appear as "test tag JOE"
"Appearance "<t>" to "<pos>"! Somebody help me!" -> "Appearance "Dakuragune" to "A1"! Somebody help me!"
"HP of <me> was cut 30%! <HP>" -> "HP of the player was cut 30%! 30/100"

Text Color

Text color can be changed with the { } tags

Color Codes (PSU Pedia)

{red} - Red
{blu}, {blue} - Blue
{gre}, {green}, {grn}, {gree} - Green
{yel}, {yellow} - Yellow
{ora}, {orange}, {org} - Orange
{pur}, {purple}, {vir} - Purple
{vio}, {violet}, {bro} - Violet *{Bro} is slightly lighter than purple.
{bei}, {beige} - Beige
{gra}, {gray}, {gry}, {bla}, {ble}, {bra} - Gray
{whi}, {white}, {whit} - White
{blk}, {black}, {pla} - Black

Off Color Codes
*Some colors have a slightly different hue if the last letter in the color name if left out.

{orang} - Pale Orange
{yello} - Off Pink
{def} - reverts to default color

Usage

Much like PSU i believe that you can change the text color multiple times in one chat bubble however I noticed you only need the closing bracket if you are putting a color right after the macro commands.

/la salute /mn15 /ci1 1 /moya red} <me> This is a test chat macro

/la salute /mn15 /ci1 1 /moya <me> red} This is a test chat macro

-This macro would appear like this
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y237/Ghost713/Phantasy%20Star/pso2_brokecolortag.jpg

/la salute /mn15 /ci1 1 /moya <me> {red} This is a test chat macro

-However here it would result in a "JOE" in black text and "This is a test chat macro" in red text.

Here is a combination of correct color tag usage and the third example.

Symbol Art

Symbol Art is separate from the Chat Macros and can only be used by itself. For the exception of /moya or /toge. Symbol macros will not work on your partner card or welcome mat (My Room furniture). They are local references to your character's saved symbol art - which your NPC counterpart does not have. (UnLucky)

■ Command statement of art symbol (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%83%81%E3%83%A3%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3% 83%BB%E3%82%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%88%E3%83%AF%E3%83%BC %E3%83%89)

A ha! So that's how people were broadcasting their grid locations. Thanks for sharing this, I'll be setting up an emergency code shortcut as soon as the servers come back up.

Symbol Art is separate from the Chat Macros and can only be used by itself.

This is not entirely correct, as chat border modifiers will work (/moya or /toge).

It might also be worth noting that symbol macros will not work on your partner card or welcome mat (My Room furniture). They are local references to your character's saved symbol art - which your NPC counterpart does not have.

Thanks for those lobby actions, /cla will do the same thing as /mla. /cla is the same as pressing the [alt]+[ctrl]+[emote key] to do the opposite gender animation.

I can't seem to find this anywhere:

How do we direct an autoword to public instead of party?

I can't seem to find this anywhere:

How do we direct an autoword to public instead of party?

irc autowords are always set to party and I don't think there is an option or a way to have it say in public other than have it set as a Crtl+F# short cut while in public chat.

Is there a specific way to target party members in chat via shortcut notes like shown at the top of the topic? For example, like naming a player/NPC directly?
