so I have looked around and noticed one thing. no ones given out any tips or tricks to this game thus far 0_0. jk but the tips and tricks im talking about are pretty small in comparison to say mag guides or wikis but imo are still a huge part of the game none the less so i thought hey maybe i should start a mini guide on tips and tricks about things ppl may or may not know about in game ya know? ok so lets cut to the chase. I would like to have ppl post anything they can find such as how to snap out of being dizzy faster or soulpimpwiz's dash trick. anything would be nice just for ppl that may not know. so ill start it off just to give an idea

Did you know? breaking out of a rock bears grasp.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn8sr36U-6Y&feature=youtu.be

if you spam the attack you can break free of the rock bears grasp without takeing any damage. it is also confirmed that spamming your move keys (stick if your a controller like me) to also break free. thanks go to Omisan for confirming this

Did you know? jumping free from traps
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdglhK4R0rA&feature=youtu.be

now as surprising as this is some ppl still dont know about this but if you jump just as it comes up you can get free.

Did you know? Dizzy breaking
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZBSuIcsBrY&feature=youtu.be

if you tap left and right (if your a controller like me then rotate) you can break free from dizzy faster as pointed out by LaEspade. first part of vid shows without doing anything the second part shows with.

Did you know? Enemy tossing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dw9T2GhZ_FA&feature=youtu.be

For reasons unknown people do not do this enough lol but if you throw an enemy you can throw them into others to cause damage to more than just that one you have pirced at the end of your sword as pointed out by TetsuyaHikari

Did you know? mag signs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC4s2Zz7ZY4&feature=youtu.be

you can tell when your mag is hungry and so can everyone else lol the diffrance is huge as your mag floats weakly if not treated fairly.... you know who you are! pointed out by IndigoNovember

Did you know? same wep diff slot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVTqrUvog58&feature=youtu.be

I didnt even know about this but you can equip the same wep to diffrent slots in ur sub pallet you can even change the PA's on it. how cool is that? thanks lostbob for pointing that out :), also duely noted as an add on if you use your number keys you can switch to diffrent sets of pas after you have set the same wep onto diffrent pallets this was pointed out by Acel.

Did you know? broken parts more drops
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKOv9g7NaIs&feature=youtu.be

Now this one even with the video could be debatable but from personal experience i have to say it is true if you break off enemy parts you can get more drops. in this vid it is a best case scenario for me some may get four others maybe two its different so i have seen (first part no horns broken second part with horns broken). thank you suzaku0zero0 for this point out XD

this is just an example im 100% sure everyone knows to jump or about the rock bear but still just getting the ball rolling. i hope this gets ppl in the mood to just toss out tips... any way id like a little feed back thanks.

Edit: im going to try and make this a bit more apealing to the eyes. anyone know how to make them show up as videos rather than links? ill add spoiler boxes and make it alittle less boreing and also a bit more organized.

your character looks like he's matured for some reason haha, and I thought you were all about the wired lances :o

Edit: oh and on topic I knew you could break out of rockbear but just didn't know how, I usually just mash every button haha ^^;

Did you know? This thread has already existed before in PSO2 General. But that's a story for another time...

Did you know? When your mag is out of energy they will struggle to stay afloat.

I don't know why more people don't do this, but did you know that if you use the sword PA クルーエルスロー and connect with an enemy, you can throw that enemy into another to do damage? I generally just see people using this PA and not even changing directions when the sword makes contact, despite there being other enemies in the vicinity they could have thrown the enemy into.

It helps if you say the english name of that pa which is "Cruel Throw" Also yeah I don't know why people don't do that. I don't cause I don't use that pa.

Yep, there's already another topic with a Did you know name.

I didn't know about how to break out of Rockbear's grab (would have been so much useful if I knew that when I first fought against Rockbear), so it's nice to know.

Tested, and found to be not true.

Hmm, on average, if I kill without breaking anything then I get 1 - 2 items. If I break things, then getting 4 is more normal.
So while not breaking anything doesn't guarantee only 1 item, it makes it more likely, the inverse is true too.

ill test it out just to see what you mean tho im pretty sure iv heard that somewhere also its still a tip it goes up. added about 3 new vid tips ik theres more out there!!! ill try to add any that i havent already or that come into the mix.

Oh it goes up alright, but it's not as automatic a process as when you break parts on a boss.
I've gotten up to 5 items when both horns are broken.

I tried to break free of Rockbear's grip but it didn't work. What do I have to press? I mean, I tried attacking, PA, blocking... and then he crushed me more than 100% of my health bar...

Did you know you can equip your weapon to different weapon slots more than once with the same weapon?

No i did not know that lol.

@saffran either one of two things ur not spamming attack. As far as ik its attack. Number 2 you may not b spamming it fast enough thats all i can think of atm.

Yeeeeeah... I've tested this against over a thousand of these damn things while searching for the Adirou (been at it for nearly two weeks now) and I can assure you, this does work. This is why I get frustrated when I'm in a MPA and there are the people who aren't aware of this and want to blow it the fuck up before anybody can even break its horns first. Oh and don't even get me started on the Rangers shooting it into the air, making us unable to break the horns that way as well.

It's annoying, really... but yes, more items drop when the horns are broken.

With regards to jumping out of traps, if you don't make it out, if you double tap forward when it's about to explode you won't take any damage.

I know this works with forces phasing, but I would assuming it works for dive rolling, and possibly hunter step, but haven't confirmed.

All dashes have invulnerability frames. I just dodge when I see 2-1 pixels left, barely every take hits

For invisible traps that appear and beep when you get close, count the beeps. The fast, high pitched ones have four beeps. Immediately dodge when you hear the fourth beep. The slower, lower pitched ones have three beeps. Same deal with the dodging at the last beep. I figured this out pretty quick, but it seems some players haven't noticed yet.

ill try it out and if it works ill post it. i have high hopes that this will work tho. and im going to post two vids up today. one being the sub pal and the other one being breaking parts. it seems you guys cant agree on that one lol. ok well at least one person cant agree.

@gigawats. thats for sure my next one. just traps are so darn hard to find ugh!!!

Edit: the two new vids are up woot. hope this helps even tho my graphics are not up to snuff lol im working on that i swear. now off to watch my red vs blue XD

Wow. Cant believe people dont already know all these basics by now...

Do you know its not just about adding the same weapon on different weapon palette but its to let you execute different PA sets quicker by pressing the numbers on the numpad to switch immediately?

No wonder I keep seeing Eng players only doing the same 3 combo moves on 1 weapon. Sheesh.

Not as bad as hunters juggling stuff causing lockon to get lost :-?

You try spinning your character around? wdsawdsawdsawdsaw/360360360360. Same for Antlion, do it before either of them gets a big grip on you.

Confirmed this. It is not the attack that breaks you free but the movement.

iv never once touched the stick while breaking free but ill add that to the tip. so im guessing not only attacking but moveing sets you free as well.

@Acel that i did not know. ill also add that as a note

It might have something to do with my using a controller and attack buttons are triggers. But if i just attack he smashes me. if i just wiggle i get free, and if i wiggle and attack. i get free and then hit his face.

So i figured, wiggle to get free. Attacking keeps me in air to slash away. So now i do both.

Definitely this. Hell, I have Sonic Arrow on all three slots for my sword. No need to even mix up PAs.

Sonic Arrow is just really powerful on almost all fronts for sword. All the other PAs seem more like situational tools to SA's (almost) all-purpose utility.

I'll post the tidbits I can think of.

Did you know?:

Code: Rescue fungus takes 1 damage from all attacks. Use your fastest weapon to break it quicker.

You can hit the + button on the numpad to play in Mario Cam mode!

Tranmizer's missile pods can break, giving more drops.

Sword's stun PA is really effective against large robots.

Doo-Doo is a big stupid doo-doo head.

Tranmizer's missile pods can break, giving more drops.

Curious, but do you have any picture proof of this? It was commonly assumed that Tran's parts were unbreakable.

As far as a tip goes, most Forces by now know you can freeze Vol Dragon's feet right?
Well if you destroy the crystal on its tail and it tries to form a new crystal, you can freeze his feet then as well, preventing him from forming one. You can do this over and over again, it really makes Vol Dragon a cakewalk if you're a Force with a party of people.

I'm sorry, I don't have any picture evidence. They show minor cosmetic damage once they've hit the breaking point. My friend and I were hunting 'Mizers for quite some time only to get 4 meseta drops when killing him. After we started experimenting, we started to get larger drop circles and more items after we began targeting the missile pods.
