Japanese startup error on vista (sceenshot included)

Can anyone identify this error? I'm trying to get the game running on my wife's laptop and I get this error on startup, against a black screen, and the game quits when I click OK.

The game's never booted the first time to get to the graphic settings....and this laptop is newer than my dual core desktop which does run the game.

I'm gonna try update DirectX and the graphics drivers and see if that fixes it.

My apologies, I realize now that the 3rd button on the launcher is where you adjust the graphic settings prior to launch. I turned the slider down and it started right up.

It might be a good idea to compile all the Japanese error graphics into a FAQ of some kind, to prevent repetitious error posts...if nobody has done it already.

I'm now learning how much the average laptop sucks for gaming. My wife will be teh sads.
