How do I back up PSP2i data?

I want to back up my game and save file in case something happens, which I've recently read a lot of warnings about. I know how to access the files in USB Mode, but what all do I want to copy? Lots of files, so really confusing.

There are three different folders for your save data (Four if you have data installed) . They are "NPJH50332" (Play data), "NPJH50332SC" (Support character data), and "NPJH50332DL" (Download data).

You could add those three folders and create a ZIP archive out of them. That's my usual method.

How does creating a zip archive benefit me? Not idea how to do that either. I was just planning on putting it on my portable HD just as is.

I just do that so all three folders are in one file. Copying the folders as-is is fine too.
