Few Questions About Traps and Souls

Well let me get this right off the bat

Are Traps effect by either Ability or R attack? or is it only Tool master and Trap custom?

With Souls I understand that Ⅰ power I × power I = Power II →　Power I　100%　　Power II　60%

What I don't understand is how a mutation happens or what happens when you mix

say 2 rockbear souls would it come out like 40 S def/30hp +2PP or would it only be like 40 S def/20hp +2PP (you know saying that all the % gods are on your side)

Sorry about this but I really wanna understand what effect traps (really hope it isn't just skill tree alone) and how to use the soul system fully

Traps rely on R.attack.

Never seen two same souls on one equip(not sure if it's even possible to have more than one soul on one equip), but soul+soul+soul yields you an 80% success rate. So get yourself 3 soul equips first, dont' bother with mutation as it has no effect on soul.

You can't upgrade soul affixes, you can only transfer them.
As for MutationI, it helps you to transfer other affixes, and that's about it, really.
