The magless challenge?

Has anyone tried to complete the game without ever using a mag? That's where I am at with my FOnewearl, and so far so good, only died a couple of times and still got enough magical oomph. Has anyone else tried this feat? I am making a couple up as I go and coming up with some cool variations though should I need one in an emergency...

Which version of the game? Which difficulty? I think mag's aren't that important past say the 150 mark. Still useful, but by that point you should have used a lot of materials to boost stats and should be getting most of your stat boosts from 4 units and powerful shieild and armour etc. But it all depends on how good your equipment is.

Doing this with a force will be tough. I'd prefer to try this this with a hunter or ranger since there a bit more damage resilient but if you're careful you should be able to simply grind it out.
