Disclaimer:
[spoiler-box]Disclaimer, this guide is by no mean my original. I only get the information from both JP wiki, and make it easier to understand for English players. Test data and information are all done by JP players[/spoiler-box]

Source : http://spoiler.sakura.ne.jp/rr/psu/index.php and http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?FrontPage

Here is full list of current unit that could set together and have effect:
-Some Set only require to have 2 units to work. (usually the set that never have 3)
-Most of the set will have 3 units and require to have all 3 to work.
-Special set unit that could work with weapon will have 2 tier of set effect. The set effect when only have 3/4 of the set, and the effect when have full 4/4 of the set.

I will not mention name, because I never use english patch, and I think people recognize unit more according to how does it look rather than name. Although if anybody will help me fill all the english unit name for me, please post here so that I can edit them in.

Formular that I will use here is :

s-def invested = s-atk lost

if you look at it that way then the set is just giving more s-def to people for the same s-atk (or less) that sets with lower requirements give. try to make sense of that for a minute :p

I'll take a ton more def for a smidge less atk any day. Less downtime for healing = more uptime for hurting.

Unless you sit in 12 player MPA's for your entire session, in which case taking damage isn't a concern. But, some people don't do that, so hey, it's like they're adding content for different playstyles or something.

Are you aware that attack is multiplied by a lot of different sources whilst defense is not?

Let's list a few:

Shifta Ex Drink, Shifta Buff, Brave/Wise stance, weak points, weak bullet, PA damage.

So that 'smidgen' of attack is more significant than you think. Whereas that extra... what, let's say 30 s-def - will be multiplied by Deband Ex Drink, Deband buff, and i'm sorry to say but anyone that drinks deband over shifta should probably practice their dodging skills. And most forces/techers nowadays only buff people withi Shifta.

In the end... another useless post by you ~~ I'm starting to feel you post just for the sake of posting.

Shifta Ex Drink, Shifta Buff, Brave/Wise stance, weak points, weak bullet, PA damage.

Shifta only works on Base stats, it may be the same for a couple of other things on your list. Conversely, you left skills such as Jellen Shot and Deband Cut from your list of things that buff Defenses. If you're going to list things out, at least be complete about it.

That's very true, but after a certain point is it really paying off. Most of these set bonuses do things besides raise a single defense stat. The Vol, Fang, and Quartz sets for instance would be great for hybrid characters who might be using more than one attack type.

I understand that there's going to be people who want to min-max, and there's nothing wrong with that, but not everyone wants to play that way, and not everyone IS going to play that way, you shouldn't devalue their opinion because of that.

ブルブリ系 - Now this has the typical pattern for a set but no set bonus....make's me wonder if it's used in another way .....maybe like a place holder for the 2 set armors to add more to the bonus...maybec?

ルベルタロン系 - It's also unknown and is another 2 set armor.

If any one would like to test these two to see if there is a set with the second armor and also check to see if there is a combination with the first armor and the 2 set armor's. Thanks in Advance.:)

Wow. Nice way to make the Gold Wings completely useless! The sad part is; even the Dark Wings are likely going to get outclassed by PINK wings, as shown in datamining.

Hopefully, the Gold and Dark Wings are given the same treatment as Gramasciento when the Pink Wings come out.

it does work with the vardha talis!, I have seen people report it already in the comment of that thread. However, I plan to wait for the list to be full before I update the first post.

Gold wing isn't completely useless. This game strength tier of unit is base on requirement. the higher the requirement mean the harder for you to equip, and also mean the better status.

-Gold wing has very low DEX requirement, and everyone with sub-class can equip it at lv 40.
-Dark wing has 100 DEX higher requirement, and only people who can equip them, either have a lot of Dex in mag or being ranger.
-Basically, people without dex in mag will still need to use gold wing for PP anyway, because they can't equip dark.

It's true that it's newer. However, many of the new units are just recolors of earlier units, and some of these colors may be unfavorable to some. Units are a part of your looks in a way. SEGA did remove stats from clothes. I'm not saying that stats be removed from units lol, but recolors shouldn't be THAT much better (especially with the Wings, since they all portray a different look, but their strength is based on which one SEGA decided to introduce first).

That's why I think they should add an "unit appearance" system in which you can chose what unit you want to have showing for your appearance, while your real unit that affects your stats wouldn't show

though I guess having the "hide" option is already something at least =w=...asking for an unit appearance system might be too much...it'd be nice though

Well, set bonuses addressed that in part. The 374 def sets have the best raw PP, but that's it. Each set should definitely have its own niche, at least for now. I'm wondering what the deal is with the gold angel wings versus the purple angel wings, the gold ones should really be better at something besides being cheaper because they're worse at everything.

Nah, because there are common ranger units which give +4 PP base and +10 PP in a set. They cost me like 1k to buy and have ridiculously low requirements, which is why I use them on all my characters.

And 374 def sets do not have the best raw PP at all.

They don't? I thought thy did. Hm, maybe it's time for an upgrade then.

Or I could stick with them for a bit more, it's good PP and good r-def. At least until I get a full ragne set and try working with lower PP.

PP-wise, the best right now are the black wing set. 5 PP per unit, and gives 10 PP in a set (so you get 25 overall, which you could boost to 45 with just Spirits, and 57 with +3PP Souls).

The Yellow Wing set gives +4PP per as well, with +10 in a set. The 4*/5* ranger units do this as well.

Personally I'd say just go for one of the wing sets, as they give enough defense (a little extra HP in a set), subclasses give you enough HP and you should be dodging 90% of attacks anyway.

This use to be the link to one: link (http://translate.google.com/translate?depth=1&hl=pl&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.pl&sl=ja&tl=en&twu=1&u=http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php%3F%25E3%2582%25BB%25E3%2583%2583%25E3%25 83%2588%25E5%258A%25B9%25E6%259E%259C)
But the address must have changed.

The link by itself (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php%3F%25E3%2582%25BB%25E3%2583%2583%25E3%25 83%2588%25E5%258A%25B9%25E6%259E%259C) seems to work for me; just that the Google Translate function can't really work with it (I'm assuming they are not friends).

I checked and Ragne bonus stat per unit is +40 hp/ + 1pp not +55hp/ + 1 pp. Weird?

No, it's not.
We need someone with enough knowledge to make an updated one or the writer to update it :3

Guys, is the Quartz set (4 pieces, with doublesaber) good enough to justify the amount of T-def I would have to put on my mag to equip it on a Female Newman FI/TE?

Primobol
Nov 15, 2012, 08:52 AM
If it's less than 50 T-def you need, maybe...
But I still think you'd be better with a DEX or S-DEF req. set.

No. TE has horrible T-def, maybe it would be plausible as FI/FO, but not FI/TE. Go with S-def.

Yes but for some reason I had to remove them and then re-equip them to get the bonus!

Vardha (Vader)
Pretty sure is best for ranger and gunner yea?
I doubt you'd be able to wear the others w/o right mag or subclass lol

But generally I'd be playing ra/gu and gu/ra?
I've heard HU better for GU/ but I need more research into that to see why o.0 (No weak bullet? Le sigh)

HU is a good sub for ranger. I've never heard GU/HU, but RA/HU works.
RA/HU would be mostly for launcher specialization. You have fury stance and JA advance.

Yeah, vader set is pretty much ranger/gunner only unless your mag can compensate.

Aw really SEGA!? You can't just give a stealth buff like that then take it away 8C
Now I really wonder what are their coding conventions to let them screw something so random like this LOL

I think they're only fixing the issue where weapons no longer count as part of a set.

The increased set bonuses will probably stay. But if not, enjoy it till the maintenance.

The reason I haven't upgrade the front page is because I see how S-wiki has picture of each unit on their set list already. So without knowing the language, you can still look at the picture and the set bonus there in JP, but I bet everybody can read it.

So it doesn't have much point to keep translate it to english here when people can read it from original source.
