English patch causing my game to crash

My game runs fine without the english patch but of course I can't read anything. I downloaded the most recent english patch and after the opening cutscene it crashes. I'd give a screenshot of the error but it doesn't show the characters just squares. I read a post about removing some files from the english patch but that didn't work.

II recently got a new computer with a 7200rpm Hard drive and a Solid State drive. The solid state drive only has like 120gb of total memory. So I want to know where I should install pso2. I know that the only differance will be with load times. Is the load time boost worth it with a SSD (which only has 48gb of space left) or should I just install on the hard drive? I only really want to install long loading things on the SSD (like the operating system and World of Warcraft).
