Will any of these laptops play PSO2 on even the lowest settings?
I am looking for the CHEAPEST laptop/computer that can run PSO2(and by cheap, I mean cheap, if can find one under $100 I'd take it).

What is your budget? You could do better than the options you listed.

Also if you needed to pick those that you listed

Those will play it just fine, the costco laptop would perform much better since its a ivy bridge cpu with intel 4000 graphics.

So even if I were to upgrade the RAM, the CPUs on the other laptops aren't strong enough?

I know someone posted a laptop with nice standalone gpu for 499.99 but whats your budget though, no point in upgrading the ram unless you like to run a lot of programs.

Edit: Founded it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215663

That one whould be better than the costco one though.

I'm not quite sure on my budget quite yet, but almost definitely under $500, and probably under $400. And the reason I ask if upgrading the RAM would help, is that most of the laptops I've seen have built integrated GPUs. And as I've heard it told integrated GPUs use the RAM for some reason.

I was also looking around on newegg.com and found this one too,

EDIT: Never mind about that PC^ I apparently did put in my OP. Odd, I could have sworn that it's URL wasn't there...

This is a decent deal from frys, should play pso2 at almost max im not sure about the requirements for maxed out. GPU's use onboard memory if the vram is maxed. Also no point in upgrading unless you are multitasking a lot and using memory intensive programs.

Also another deal
http://www.staples.com/HP-ENVY-dv6-7246us-156-Laptop/product_101936
After rebate (if your into those things) $499.90

Ok, the staples rebate link isn't working, but the first one might end up being what I go for. I'd have to see. I have to get some grades up before my mother will even talk about me getting a better PC(my current netbook is almost 3 years old and wasn't good to start off with so it's about ready to die just like it's warranty, my other is a school loan and needs better software).

It only does that if the gpu is standalone on the laptop when not enough vram to render things, its already in use on integrated gpus and that frys one can only play probly at 1-2 slider settings since its has a integrated gpu.

So, I've been looking on Newegg, and I put together a comparison of a few laptops that are decent for the price(yes one or two of them are some I mentioned in the OP). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006550%2050001315%2040000032%204016&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=32%7C34-216-046%5E34-216-046-TS%2C34-230-599%5E34-230-599-TS%2C34-101-306%5Eicn_ironegg_overlay_125x94%23%2C34-230-814%5E34-230-814-03%23

When it comes to cheap laptops, probably the better choice is a laptop with AMD Fusion technology, AMD A series APUs.
I must note that items that have a "refurbished" note may have really limited warranties though.

I'm not to keen to but anything refurbished myself, but when you're on a cheap or you can't afford it budget you get the best for the price. And I haven't seen any AMD A series APUs, at all.

The Gateway in the comparison link you posted has an AMD A series APU, the AMD A6-4440M.

Yes, from the ones you put in the comparison, the Gateway is the better one due to having a better graphics unit.

Ok. Thank you. It's the one I'll go with assuming it's still in stock when I get around to being able to.
