Hopefully this actually wakes Capcom up to start making more Mega games. They aren't gonna get away with a fan-made game.

Until then, I'll be playing the shit out of this game when it released.

Dem fan made games. Maybe a fan made Legends 3 will come out?

There is also a fan-made Battle Network game. It's actually pretty damn decent and a demo is out. It's called Megaman Battle Network Chrono X. There is a good amount of fan-made sprites in it that are okay.

Dem fan made games
This was a fan game but Capcom now is supporting it.

Quote from another article regarding the creation of this game,
"SFxMM is the brainchild of Megaman superfan and professional Street Fighter player Seow Zong Hui. After seeing the game running on Hui's laptop at EVO 2012, Capcom's Christian Svensson decided to officially endorse the project and include it in the company's 25th anniversary campaign."

This is sadly the best of Megaman I've seen in a long while..
This game wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Seow Zong Hui. Although credit to capcom for actually endorsing this.

Thanks for showing me that Yoshi 8'D You'd think after almost 3 years I'd know how to do it by now..

Capcom's support is cute, but I seriously hope they are not counting this as content. There are many fan-made Megas out there and some show more effort than Megaman Is Over.

and some show more effort than Megaman Is Over.

I dont wanna talk about "that"
..its not even Megaman anymore :/
Your so right though.

There is even ANOTHER one, and it features the Bonne Family from Legends as the enemies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y-11tMcjTA Of course, the stage bosses are completely original with original stages as well.

So basically, there are TWO fan-made 25th anniversary Megaman Classic games, and both are well done.

At this point, Capcom releasing Megaman Classic games for purchase is effortless for such a company.

They really dont have a good excuse for Megaman being MIA. Fans are even asking for more of the same and they wont deliver.
I swear all I hear is "X9!" or "Bring back legends!" and some people want capcom to make a "plot bridge" between Classic megaman and X. Its not like there isn't room for ideas..

I expected alot more.
Only saving grace is itīs free.

PS: That bonne fan-game looks great.

I'm still not sure what to make of this. They scrap two official games in development since Inafune started his own game studio and NOW they show an interest in the series? This just feels so forced. It's like "OMG ROCKMAN IS 25! WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING EVEN THOUGH WE KILLED IT!!!" To be fair though, they did plan to stop it at MM3 at one point.

It's actually a fan-made game?

Man, Capcom has really lost it now.

Pretty cool for being fan-made. Lack of any save/password feature is kind of a drag though.

Well its pretty good, I personally dont like street fighter but I know most of the characters from playing STF4.
The stages seem to be missing the "Megaman touch" the old games had but quite frankly, I'd be a total asshole if i were to complain about a fan game. You can tell a lot of time was put into this. The bosses are a bit refreshing, they mix and match attacks and it can get pretty insane rather fast. It also seems like there may be some kind of "special attack" that a boss can use.. Not gonna lie, seeing Chun Li fly all over the place during her "special" scared the shit out of me, didnt expect it..

Having only played Ryu and Chun Li's stage, I'd say overall its worth your time if you were interested. Definitely gonna play through the rest of it.

So far for me, it feels like this game is DEFINITELY a fan game.

Like the creator put obviously gameplay elements that a megaman fan would catch on to right away.

> Like putting lives in a place that DIDN'T mean you were going to 2 seconds after getting them and then trying to get back on the path.

> Or having a lot of spots where enemies would spawn infinitely so that you could restock on lives and E-tanks and power ups.

> And a LOT of the enemies seem to be new and unique, but at the same time share the same strategies to beat as classic enemies like Sniper Joe or Metaurs, including the actual Mets themselves.

But I also like see's how you can think of new enemies in puzzles in the modern 8-bit megaman games like 9, 10 and this fan-made one.

I think itīs alright, but it lacks a password system which is a bit annoying.
Also, some energy capsule for the 8 rebattles inbetween battles would have been nice or at least some more lives.

PS:INB4 secret boss...like you didnīt know.
