I have accidentally turned off the PSP so many times. I was wondering if it's possible to plug in a PS3 controller and play using the controller. Specifically with Phantasy Star Portable 2. Oh, I have PSP 3000. I also don't have a PS3 if that maters. I hope it doesn't. I wonder if a hard-wire would work...?

Doesn't work like that, and the port on the PSP and the controller are the same port, but a hardwired PS3 controller is a USB adapter.

It works with a PSP Go because of how it can utilize blue tooth, but not on an older model.

Yeah, my wife told me it wouldn't be uncommon to use a USB as just a charger. I guess I'm just getting old and am a little surprised at it.

Just a little over the On/Off buton.

I personally use RemoteJoyLite and the MotionInJoy driver with my PSP 3001, so not only do I get a larger picture on my PC monitor, I can use a PS3 controller. RJL requires hacking your PSP (but not the game), though...
