Okay, this isn't completely random, I was playing online and here's a conversation I had w/ a French girl (F denotes her, M denotes me, Z denotes the other random person w/ us in the room)

M: So do you have AIM??
F: What?
M: AIM, 2 chat
F: What is AIM??
Z: American On Line
F: AMERICAN?! ohhhh
M: Yea
F: NO!

hahahaha, I thought it was hilarious at least...

(btw, if anyone didn't understand the freedom fries reference in my subject line, it's refering to our country renaming "French Fries" into "Freedom fries" due to their lack of support in the war. This is where I'd also like to point out French Fries orginated from Belgium. Also, what about Freedom Kissing, Freedom Toast, Freedom Dressing, Freedom Braids... etc?)

And if you can identify where this paraphrased quote comes from, you are my friend:

"Well, the French are reacting by calling American Cheese, Idiot Cheese"

oh... hee hee! well done http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

The idea wasn't orginally from the gov't, a bunch of restaurants did it and some bored [republicans] decided to rename French Fries "freedom fries" in their cafeteria.

*sigh*

but yay for Frenchies on the PSO Servers!

Why not call them chips?

because they know them as fries, and chips to them are crisps to people in the british isles... and god knows what elsewhere.

hooray for faceless corporations aiming for less 'confusing' multi-national product consumption!

for example...

Opal Fruits -> Starburst
Marathon -> Snickers
Jif -> Cif

i want marathon's back... i stopped buying them once they changed...

how long before WE get freedom fries?

Me and my friend were joking about it at lunch, the freedom fries and stuff...

We decided they should be called... (excuse my Language)

F***** Fries, fill in the stars.

come on, cant you see the average american saying,

can i get a large burger and a ******* fry. I think its more outgoing...

(please note: I tried to avoid using any bad words, so if you ban me, whoever you are... you suck.

Ohhh, I'm understanding this, but don't you mean Cif>Jif? the peanut butter?

I went to school in a British based school so I still have the habit of saying "Fag" "flat" and spelling things such as "colour" hee hee

"Jif micro-liquid where are you? ..Here i am!"
it was a floor cleaner or something.. or possibly one of those bathroom cleaners that also had branched out into everything else... and that quoted text is from bottom. heh... can't remember what ep, but a concoction with that in and various other things was made, and then one of the lines i remember was "up the nose or not at all" ..and the other guy had to drink it through a straw, up his nose... i miss that series...

I think the whole freedom fries thing is really stupid I would also say that many of the French are against anything American. There are some of them out there that wouldn't accept the water from us if they were dying of thirst.

Actually the House renamed french fries to freedom fries in their cafeteria. Thats where it started. It has nothing to do with lack of support of the war. It has to do with our bad relations with the french at the current moment. They also changed the name of french toast to freedom toast. Which they had changed before from german toast.

Dems can be the same way. Whether they're Elephants or Donkeys, people are people, and people can be dumb.

Say, anyone want any Freedom Vanilla Ice cream? Maybe in a Liberty Cone?

Better to keep your head during a debate and not turn nasty.

EDIT: Btw, I'm an Elephant.

So you're all going to prove your maturity by making immature comments? Smooth.
