Soooo My Racast has 100 luck and I guess 100 luck doesn't mean 100% b/c he doesn't always get critical hits, so what is the 100 out of? Anyone know the percent? Does luck help? I can't tell

I have 100luck on my RAmar too, I donīt see any significant changes, but I get more critical hits with him than with my HUcast (40Luck)

I'm probably wrong, so don't flame me if I am, but I think luck also has something to do with rares. Notice added amount of nice items with that stat?

Nahh, luck has no correlation with the amount of rare items you find, in fact noone really knows what makes you find rares except dedication and alot of gameplay... then again I've found "rare" stuff just starting. Luck affects your critical hit rate. You should notice this if you have two characters, one with 100 luck and one with 10 luck. Someone also stated that it affects your chances of freezing with ra/gi -barta techniques, I have yet to test this.

My hunter has 30 luck (base) and gets lots of nice critical hits with vulcans.

I think 100 hit gives you like a 1/10 or so chance of critical hits, and improved chance of special attacks. ATA helps with specials, too.

I'd guess it was 1 in 6, but you might be right.

thanks for your posts, It's hard to judge since it was so gradual. His spread needle's special (paralysis) works well, probably 70% of the time (but also w/ a dex mag and god arm...)

5 out of my 6 characters have 100 luck (goofed one). There's a huge difference. With a saber or something, you might not notice it, but w/ a mech gun or double-saber, you should get at LEAST 1 critical hit per combo, but you'll average 2-3. The next noticeable is slicer/partisan/sword/shotgun class. If you hit 4-5 enemies w/ one swing, you'll probably the same results as above.

Also, other people have tested against the freezing/being frozen correlation w/ luck - there is none. Luck has nothing to do w/ your getting frozen or freezing things.

100 Luck with mechguns, doublesabers, swords/partisans or Spread Needles translates into extreme pain. Who can say 'no' to getting 3 criticals in a row, each doing 1000+ damage, and managing to pull it off regularly?

Luck. Don't leave Pioneer 2 without it.

I think with 100 Luck is something like 40-50% chance of critical hit. many times with a single target wep it does 2 criticals.

i am with Malkavian on this. 40% (or 2 out of 5) seems about the average.

do not forget the exta advantage to high luck-- pb charge speed. i have not done the math but i believe damage given in relationship to player hitpoints fills the pb meter as well as recieving damage. so, critical hits are extra damage and therefore charge the pb meter faster.

But this makes sense... I hadn't thought of looking at it this way. Of course, I'm not intpo technical stuff...

I just know my RAmar crits A LOT with a Spread Needle/multi-hit weapon. If every shot hits a target he gets at least one crit. It sounds painful in combat. *wince*

since i got 100 luck i find stat mats more often than when my luck was 20 so in real tearms i find 2-3 mats in everyother room with enemys. so im full in the bank from finding mats. if anyone needs mats im the character to get them from!!!

for the love of... 100 luck is like 100 ata but the fact that it has to do with critical hits. i dont know how you can figure out the percentages but imaging haveing 100 ata and every time you hit an enemy, then considered it as a critical hit.
