I can answer number 1, http://www.amazon.co.uk

Iy's the only place that seems to have it moderately cheap and in stock. Though the delivery is slow, I ordered mine a week ago now, if not longer.

http://www.lik-sang.com is also good, and the price works out at £35 with p+p should take about a week and a half.

when u got ure cable modem u should have the choice between using ethernet or usb, the bba adapter for gc is ethernet so simply swap usb for ethernet on ure cable modem... Otherwise you need to do it thru a lan card and connect an ethernet cable between the gc bba and ure pcs lan card http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif or u can get some rj45 cross over cable and enable internet connection sharing through internet options and have gamecube and pc running off one connection, which is what ive done. I picked up some rj45 cable for about 7 quid not too shabby http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Try looking in places like HMV and Virgin.
As for connecting it, theres a good guide over in the tech support forums (Q&A) to getting it working with internet connection sharing.

Virgin Megastores always have a reasonable stock of both the broadband and the modem adaptors, for £29.99 each. They have them behind the counter, you have to ask.

34.99 in hmv. and you will need a ethernet lead that goes from your gamecube to where your pc/modem is so take that into account when purchasing a lead. but you should look in the tech support forum for more details of what u need exactly.
