Looking for someone to help me learn the ropes?

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I recently decided to come back to PSO2, I played in the beta, but hardly understood what I was doing. I was hoping there would be someone kind enough to log on with me and help me learn the basics for a bit? (Haven't created character yet, still patching(Near done).)

I do not mind helping you at all, my friend and I are currently playing and are willing to run you through the game. We are on Ship 10, commonly on Blocks 20-22. My PlayerID is the same as my username on this site.

Oh and 2 quick question, do I DL both the story and EN patch, and do I need to use the "Fix PSO2 EXEs" thing?

I never had to use the EXE fix, but the file has found a way to delete itself from my computer so if the exe recommends using it for those reasons, you should use it.

Both english patches are good to have, since most of your exp involves the story early on. So, yes, I do recommend getting both patches.

The largest one should be Story patch, which is 1.57GB IIRC

It shouldn't affect your patches, so unless the website says otherwise, you shouldn't have to re-patch until the July update. (as far as I know)

I have it and got stuck downloading for 15 hours...multiple times since it removed itself from my PC. Remember to run in Admin mode, btw. Also, the English patch is just drag-n-drop into the game's win32 folder.

Yeah, english patch problems are solved, now a new one. Updating. I'm trying to figure out whether the maintenance will stop it and make it restart or not >,<
1300/4200 files :/ Sooooo sllooooow. I'd HATE to have to reinstall. And I'm wary of our data limit >,<

Well, I'm less then 100 files away from completing the update :D I already DLed the story patch, just gotta drag and drop it, install the english patch, and then hope it works.

Also, make sure you have the 6/12/2013 English patch, since it was recently updated. IF you do already have, then you're fine.

Yes, you do just drag and drop them into the win32 folder located in the data folder of your game.

Try loading your game in virtual fullscreen.

Virtual Fullscreen >,<? ERRRRG. I hit check for updates on the tweaker launcher in a last ditch attempt to check the files again, low and behold, another update D:?

The second option in the launcher is your video settings. You can then click, from what I recall, the third tab that show your video resolution and screen settings. If you were using Full Screen, I recommend changing it to eliminate your chance of having a black screen when loading.

The update is the reason why I gave you that link for the most recent patch. Let me know when you finish, alright?

You have really bad luck at the moment, I have never seen anyone update as many times as you have. Normally, I would update, patch, and it would run fine from that point on.
