So while running around I notice others around me hitting constant thousands and occasional 2k's and I wonder what level they are and stuff.

Currently as a level 40 force with my mag at 56+ Tatk and level 1 techer subclass, I'm hitting around 280-350 or ~500 with most spells in general, around 500-1100 against weaknesses depending on how weak they are against it.

I'm not sure if this is normal or if I should up my gear or something.

Are you charging your techs?

Always do

Also regular 500-600 against level 33-36 enemies, 300-350 against 40's usually

My t-atk is 897, 343 dex, 605 s-atk

it helps if you level techer. the huge lv gap might be why. also what rod do you use. and what spells do you use?

I have level 10 in most spells and switch between a lot of them frequently.

I currently use Garland | ガーランド | req 454 t-atk | s-atk 224 | t-atk 305
and for Talis I use Visburn | ヴィスバーン | req 458 t-atk | t-atk 258

I use talis solely for AoE attacks and rod for projectile/direct shot attacks.

My t-atk without equips is 505.

Now that I notice that, last time I checked it was only like 400-450 or so, I got +50 pretty fast ;o so I guess I could go get stronger weapons again.

You didn't grind or affix your weapons? Garland+6 is 417 T-Atk, with 533 at +10

And you can fairly easily get 30-60 T-Atk on it with affixes. Ragne/Wolga/Elder Soul and Technique II or III

Techer sub does nothing

Level a fighter sub once you hit Foerc 50 or something.

No grind, but I feel more like doing that when I'm around 45-50

Also why fighter?

Elemental damage in a weapon doesn't affect techs, just their melee and their ranged attacks (bullets). Basically what they said. Level Techer first and then upgrade your gear.

Fighter can boost your tech power by 140% with brave stance, 160% with wise stance. They also have knuckle dash to move around.

Techers have PP convert, Territory Burst, Elemental Weak Hit, and dark builds.

Force with Fighter sub gives stronger Tech damage output compared to having a Techer sub.

Techer's "Power Boosts" are seriously lackluster (in the damage department, although updates are giving them better striking power)

Yeah Techer can only boost Force's three elements by 20%, and only when the target is weak to it. You also get different element masteries and PP regen.

Fighter can boost everything by 44% or 69% if you use the correct stance, but it works on every enemy. Requires you to level up Hunter to lv30 to unlock it, though, so it's up to you if it's worth it.

Well I think I'd like to go with having a techer side just cause I'd like to be able to cast more constantly, but either way in the end I plan to max all my classes some day ;p

Thanks for the tips on what I should be thinking about though.

My goal weapon for tech is witch broom but iunno what level that'd take to get with a 630 equip req ;o

I got the +50 from my skill tree

As long as you keep leveling your mag's T-attack, you will get it.

The Tech Advance or Element Mastery skills are better so long as you can equip good gear. Your mag and sub class should give you enough stats, but that takes time. It's not such a bad idea to grab the T-Atk Up skills early on, but you should reset that later since the multiplier skills scale much better in the end.
