Hello, this is my art thread.

NOTE: I go by a lot of different names in the PSO community, but in art and design land I go by Arock.

I became inspired by all the lovely art I've been seeing here lately, so I decided it was time to start showing my stuff here again.

I've been in a funk lately so don't expect this updated very often. I just wanted to contribute a little.

Ready? Let's begin:

The first items I wish to share are skate deck graphics for a project that never came to fruition and ended on a sour note. I put a lot of work into them, so I don't want them wasted.
The idea was that the use of multiple illustrations combined would have a sort of narrative. Some worked out better than others, but I'm pleased overall. In case you're interested, they were going to be silkscreened with two screens each.
This is the first time these have been shown outside those who were involved in the project.

The next two items are from a DVD packaging campaign that I included in my final graduation portfolio show. I put a lot of time into this set of items, though I felt these two are all I need to show here to get the general idea across. It's a project that is very close to my heart.

Well, that's all I have prepared for today. Like I said, I probably won't update much but I'll make sure to get stuff up here when I have it ready.

Rock - I'm down. I love collaborative comics. Perhaps about a lawnmower that falls in love with a duck. I dunno, man. It's your call!

Sayara - Thus reunited is the dark covenant of the adorable and scary. Good to be back. I was worried my work had lost it's Sayara-level creepitude!
AROKKAGLE for life, yo. I see a collab in the future, perhaps?

Zora - I'd tots like to write stuff with you. You seem to have a lot of ideas.
Western art? Is that shocking?
I haven't considered Q's challenges yet because my digital skills are lacking. I guess I'm just nervous. Maybe I'll try next month. I'm terrible at drawing children.

Qoxolg - Thanks! I spent so many hours just getting the concepts for each design right, let alone the actual art. Ugh, I still want to do something with them, maybe at least make one. I know a guy in town who silk screens.

What a brilliant and unexpected turn of events! Even from you, I would not have expected a lobster-clawed demon girl in this story.

As much as I would love to synthesize some music for this epic story, it appears that nobody had the forethought to create a soundfont of a duck's quack, nor a lawnmower's roar. Without these tools, I cannot progress with my contributions to this thread.

I was going to steal someone's midi of MGS's "Encounter", and replace all the instruments with duck and lawnmower sounds. I could, technically, make those sounds myself. But I haven't learned how to, and I have a story and three songs to write.

So the girl lawnmower (lawnmowette?) is actually a transformer that automatically triggers a referential 80s song montage whenever she transforms?

now all we need are my vitamins and this thread will have everything to meet a giga's daily needs

Nah Duck Channing just took a lot of shrooms that day.

and he hallucinated that she didn't transform when she actually did, so her secret is still safe

The truth is, the lawn mower is actually the girl crushed by lawnmower and not a girl riding it, and it's still on her.

That's why he hallucinated that she's eating everything with her body, But when the girl pulls her self from out of the lawn mower with her clothes all torn up he's still seeing a lawnmower turn into something awesome. That awesome representing the almost naked girl running into his arms crying.

But of course once she turns around and see's half of her organs are missing he starts hallucinating that she'll grow wings and start fighting the lawn mower again.

Eventually it ends with the girl dead, and it turns out duck channing isn't really a duck and that he hallucinated the whole thing, but then it also turns out to be a dream like in super mario brothers 2. and when he wakes up daffy duck cartoons are on the TV.

But then he also realizes his room is inside of a giant pacific room mech sized lawn mower that's about to entered a time warp to a dimension that turns everyone into ducks. Where he'll get caught entering half way in his space mech and have to re-live the heavily terminator 2, Akira and Transformers the movie 80's influenced horror over and over again like Groundhog day with Bill Murray.

Except the time loop is over the course of 3 hours instead of 24 hours.
