Black Screen after the intro

So uh...

I just got a new PC, and installed PSO2 in it. After long hours of updating it was finally done and I proceeded to play. But then this happened: game started just fine, with all the logo intros and the CG intro, but when it's supposed to reach the start screen (wether I skip my way to it or I wait the intro) the screen just goes black.

I'm not sure if any sound plays because I sill have no sound things attached to the computer, but anyway, was wondering if anyone has any idea what problem this could be. I'm currently repatching the game (which is appearently going to take more several hours) to see if it fixes. I'm afraid the same thing happens again after I'm done though...so wanted to check if anyone has any clue.

Video graphics card drivers, are they up to date and try doing a file check next time and see if that works rather than reinstall since it will take hours to set PSO2 back up again.
