Yeah. The reason for this (so the OP knows from now on) could be ghosting.

Ghosting is when you still show that you are logged in on their servers even though you're not, which is usually the case with what happens when a server is busy. As the system thought you were logged in from the first time, it could be that that caused the issue with Error Code #603 to spark up until you gave it some time.

Though, it also could have just been a wrong password for all we know. I know that in the heat of things in the game I sometimes press caps lock by accident when I meant to hit shift. Messes me up on password screens at least once a week. Haha.

You do realize that there was an information leak regarding player account info?

They've been warning players to change their password on both their Sega ID and email and announcing that in game as the large block of text.

I do realize that, but that wasn't the case for him (or so it seems).

However, he should check his Login History to make sure that there weren't any logs at a time he wasn't on.
