Only 1 Desert map spawns him which also spawns the Dou Ragne but the map is very rare along with the appearance rate as well.

The Big Vardha Desert map is kinda dumb because he doesn't seem to respawn.
If you happen to join an old Free Desert, area 2 is just a huge completely empty space.

Nobody said it was wrong, I was asking if it was confirmed that we could slap latents onto other weapons.
We probably can, going by the timing for adding multiple latents along with crafting.

I bet they'll require 10 star materials or something anyway.

The short answer is if you're planning on not paying anything to sega, you don't.

The long answer is: You can either FUN Scratch until you get a 3 day shop pass, or you can buy a shop pass or premium set to get access to the shop using irl money.

Keep it and hope for a 3 Day Shop Pass in the FUN Scratch. Build up a huge stock of 7-9* items to sell when you get one. I would recommend pricing around 2-5% under the lowest priced listing of similar value(affixes, grinds, and element) to get the item to sell.

Ep 1, or chapter 1? Because you'll be in Ep 1 until level, like, 50, I think. At some point you have to fight banther and banshee, and IIRC they're like level 40-45, with the player usually being ~10 levels above enemies in the story.

Yeah, same here. I've been on and off PSO2 mainly because I just always found the 'moon' to be uninteresting but I couldn't hold back when friends would ask me to join them because it's just so fun and addicting to grind solo and with friends, but now that AIDA has came to the rescue and has translated 99% of the game[citation needed], I for some reason feel a bit lost which is kinda making me think about starting over completely so I can understand what's happening.

I'm level 28 and I have no idea if I'm past the first chapter mainly because of how off and on I've been with the game. :/

When I solo Lilipan TA, I can never seem to get the jump pad that lets me to take the shortcut. I go after green switch first, then get blue pad, then I use twin daggs to dash to get the blue pad for the jump pad. But the jump pad never appears. :/

^For that, 1st go east side and clear all the way to Gilnas/Gilnach. After that, use the quick portal to go back on the start point and do north side. After both side's Gilnas/Gilnach are dead, the middle gate should open.

1st, go to normal blue switch (north side) and step on it. Then, dash to normal green switch (east side) and step on it.
Both secret switches will appear, step on both and done! ^^

My friend usually takes a while to get to the blue switch anyway.

Some techs are better than others when uncharged. Sazan 16 and Namegid for example work well with Elysion but noncharged techs spam really drain your PP.

Elysion is the wet dream of any force/techer but unless you got the money to spare or really like techs it's not worth imho. Go for it if you like teching though.

Agreed. It does drain ur pp but I expect that to somewhat when Segga releases all those new datamined skills. One of the new force skills reduces pp cost for uncharged tech.

^Yes, and Revelle's COs are kinda hard to unlock, but possible. And iirc, Bloody Scaffold CO line is the advanced difficulty, so you may need to clear the previous CO line 1st (like Black Slaughter and Speedy Extermination)

Theres no real best AQ for leveling. You need to get a party and get a good PSE/Cross burst, then activate exp tickets and triboosters. Since exit bursts are back(somewhat, I guess?) use a gs and add bullet. It hits heads and has wide spread, wide enough to span the spawn width.

Okay, thanks. I was thinking of stuff like chance of bursts based on map layout, spawn rate, enemy health and EXP given per enemy, elemental resistances, etc.
More small and easy to kill enemies with higher EXP rate per kill would be easier to get and maintain boosts with higher reward, etc.

a long time ago people spammed the gate, so sega made opening the gate and canceling a TA actually reduce your chances of being abducted

now you have to just do your TAs, which is why most of us just let the abduction come to us over time (especially since there's allegedly hidden criteria that will block you from being abducted if you don't meet it, and we still don't know what all of the alleged criteria is - meaning if you don't meet it you can spam a million TAs and not get abducted because that mythical criteria is still not met)

As in the clothing/accessories released? Those are all cycled through the scratch and cannot be purchased directly other than the player shops.

If you mean boosts, additional mags, resets etc. they're located in the shopping cart icon when you hit the Esc key.

Nope, when a mag evolves it overwrites everything except filled abilities/triggers.

It's best to use it when you max the mag or hit its final evolution as its PB is based on its stats and it will evolve accordingly changing the PB.

- What does "Photon Occurrence Rate" do?
I'm guessing this is the fact that each buff you can take from the tree has a 20% chance that it's "on" and a team member can take the buff? And this % goes up with each level given. Thus, it makes it more likely that the buff you want (ATK) is likely to roll "on" for when you need it?

- If my assumption is correct; How often does the tree "re-roll" the 'what is on?' flag? Every hour? More often? Less often?

- What does "Photon Occurrence Duration" do?
I'm guessing that this is related to the above. And when a buff rolls "On", it will stay "on" with the tree for 2 hours. So leveling this will keep the buff on for a longer duration (Max of 11 hours uptime?)

My other guess is that it makes the actual buff, when you take it from the tree, to last for 11 hours... but that seems wrong.

- Does the buff duration drop while in lobby/room/campship/logoff?
- If it does drop, does it also spend the team points?

It's a buff, but does not show up in both bar nor in the character info.

It increases your Strike and Range damage for 10 mins depending on the investment into the stance.

Just see the damage difference when it's on to off to see the difference but early on it's not noticeable until you spec deeper into it. Fury Stance is a must have for all damage dealers main or subbing HU.

Kiyumi > the Cooldown is 60 seconds, meaning that if you use it, you cannot reuse it within 60 seconds. The only time where this is relevant is when an enemy hits you right at the moment where you use it - you will *not* get the effect of the stance and will have to wait 60 seconds to apply it again.
This feature is most important on WB. Get hit during WB activation when you're low level and suddenly the fight lasts several minutes longer...

You will be level 1 fighter level whatever hunter with only stats from one level of hunter applying while you are mailing fighter. When you swap back to hunter main you will be again whatever level hunter you were. Lose no progress but you do go back to level 1 and can only do normal difficulty again etc until you swap to hunter.
Keep it mind that if you sub fighter to hunter main you get 10% of XP gained going to fighter. I you can also do client orders on hunter and turn in as fighter main.
I rarely played the second class as I usually had enough quests and subclass XP to get to 45 and then run advanced quests.

well, according to what I read, it does effect. all is calculated when boss died not when you break boss crystal.

Depends on your style. Do you only use katana, go satk.
If you use bow and katana, go with dex.
In the end, you'll have enough stat requirements to equip your weapons respectively in terms of general weapons. For 12* Orochi, satk will be needed.

Since you are getting the name correctly from the P. Search that automatically inputs the search item requested. You maybe setting other options for it that does not exist.

stop, don't do that: they drop very commonly (well, certainly more commonly than the tunnels) from the tower defense on super hard (and most likely very hard too), in fact, i've got like 8 of them sittting in my storage right now

Oh god, never farm a rare in the first difficulty it drops in. Most remotely worthwhile rares are lottery tier in their first difficulty. I know people that farmed demonic fork for four months, all day, and still didn't have one.

Use exp boosts. Buy them at the player shop or trade for them using photon spheres. Then play falz, mpas, or aqs with 4 people and take advantage of bursts.

Also hit up Hans for his large EXP COs (coast enemies, quarry enemies, etc.). And if you havent unlocked all the areas by doing quests for Koffie, now would be a great time (15K a pop). You can also always farm or buy Fanka's COs (i think all of her COs add up to around 500k exp).

There are plenty of good ways to lvl quickly.

Short answer: A whole lot. Especially while leveling up since you'll lack equipment options.

Long answer:
I'm inferring you have a newman from post history.

You'll have 582 Base RATK on GU/HU with standard investments in RATK UP skills (i.e. ones used to unlock ZRA1 and 2) and 421 DEX if your skill tree happens to pick up chain finish. Most TMGs at the upper end require something like 650 RATK or 430 DEX to equip. There are a couple options that you'll be able to pull off at around 65/65 (Pao Houou has a decent potential and requires 420 DEX) , or with a lot of money (Brauvint is the strongest TMG with its potential active). With that as the only difference, you'd have primarily the ~175 (depending on DEX investment) difference of the mag itself, which is a significant hit but it's not too bad. It's getting to 65/65, or all that money, that'll be the problem.

At 45/45, enough to enter AQs and whatnot, you'll have 475 base RATK and 348 DEX. With an RATK mag and diligent feeding you'd probably have close to enough to equip a pyroxene weapon as you acquired it. Without, you're looking more at a Banshee's Roar or a Radeigle. Difference between the pyroxene+10 and either of the two at +10 is roughly 360 attack. Add on another 30 for one point investment in Gunner Rare Mastery.

When you unlock super hard, you could enter Mining and get the TMGs from there, and equip them. That'd be at level 60 or more, and then you'd be able to pick up an easily-equippable Emeradase. That'd close the difference between pyroxene weapons, though by then you might have gotten (or with premium be able to buy) an even better TMG than a pyroxene that'd require RATK to equip.

So, in the most ideal situation, you have a maxed-out Brauvint anyways, and the difference is only ~8.5% from the difference in RATK (ignoring buffs and only comparing maximum damage, which factoring those in would admittedly increase that a bit since shifta/shifta drink mag bonuses and mag bonuses factor into minumum damage as well). That's a TMG worth 90M+ on Ship10 right now, though. In the more likely scenario, if you get a mag but not premium, you'll be facing buyable pyroxene weapons vs buyable and equippable 8*/9* options at around 45/45 GU/HU, which puts you at closer to a 65% damage improvement.

The mag device you have in the picture is the puyo mag. If you have a lvl 100+ mag, then use it. If not, wait till it is lvl 100. If you do not, you will lose the mag device when the mag evolves into its lvl 3 default evolution at lvl 100.

The 7*-9* there's pretty much no use for them atm exept to vendor them (unless you have other classes/characters that might need them), however with crafting coming up very shortly you will need them to break them down into materials for crafting.

It gives you a new tree with all the SP unspent. It's exactly like if you reset your current tree, except on a separate one. You can switch between them to test things if you're not really interested in having a second one, and they both reset when you use an alltree reset pass.

Do less common types of damage count towards it, such as photon blasts, mag attacks, turrets, and especially photon particle guns in the new EQ? I could imagine laying down a Zanverse by somebody on a photon particle gun could be very nice in the EQ if it does count... :-?

Zanverse isn't affected by JAs. The only things that modify its damage are abilities that boost wind damage and the target's wind resistance (Dark Falz Elder is the one boss it's probably not worth using against at all because of this).

It also only seems to work on attacks coming directly from the player, as it didn't trigger when I dropped it on a turret.

Okay, folks. I've been playing PSO2 forever but until recently, have never cared too much about completing Matter Boards.

Here's my problem:

I'm stuck on Matter Board 7: F-5 : "Things Entrusted to Dragons": Story Quest.

The thing is, I can only complete half of the Story Quest since I'm only able to trigger Caterdransa as the end boss.

I know that to complete the other half, I must face Quartz as end boss (according Japanese Swiki) but I simply do not know how to trigger him.

Therefore, here's my Question: "How Do I Face Quartz in this Story Quest?"

Just caved and got the game. I'm playing alright, went thru all the setups pretty easily. I just completed the first 'training' quest.

I am sure i am installing the language patches correctly but the game menus are still in japanese, the chat bubbles from that annoying blond newman kid (Afin?) were in japanese too. I see some chat bubbles in english and MOST system menus in english.

Is there a way to double check that I did this right?

Not every part of the game has been translated to english. The standard patch covers nearly all the absolute essentials while the large files will cover more extraneous bits.

A system restore would only restore what's on your computer back to it's original settings. Character data is saved onto the servers. Have you tried other ships?

Yes, contact SEGA. A friend got her account hacked and everything stripped. Though if they sold before deletion... you might not get your stuff back.

What mag attack and PB would be the best to get for BR and Fi right now? I have delphinus with Upper attack and Helix proi as PB

For Fi it's trickier than BR. The knockdown and lift mag attacks will frequently turn an enemy backwards, putting you behind an enemy you were just about to attack. I don't mind it enough to spend cubes to change it, though.

On braver you can do whatever for the mag attack, but I advise knockdown since the lift will be pretty annoying for other players (and maybe even yourself).

For both get Cetus Proi, the PP fish. Fast charge, most versatile, etc. Consider putting two invulnerability A actions on your mag if you find yourself getting your PB frequently with Cetus Proi, since each invuln A is on a cooldown (5 minutes I think?). Having a second will let the invuln kick in while the first is on cooldown, if you get PB quickly.

As for PB i don't really have problems with pp management with Br (not sure about Fi cause i just want to level it later to have it ready when FI gets some kind of buffs/tree change) and was thinking about something more offensive. Btw mag stats are 145 s-atk and 30 dex if it matters

I haven't really experimented with other PBs, but offensive ones really don't seem to scale up well to SH enemy HP. You're better off grabbing Cetus Proi if not for yourself then to support others.

you can't spam it, you need to time it around the time you hit the ground, you get only 1 chance per knockdown

Try the drill collect arks quest in desert. One of the drills will be supercharged and drop a ton of items - these count as red box items. Bulfs also spawn frequently there. Mirage Escape into them until they seem more red than normal, and kill it to get more red box drops. Check dead ends for red boxes as well. I don't have to be techer to do this either - this is how I got my first sazan 16 disc on my braver.

I then found another in the coast points-for-kills arks quest on my force a week or so later. Not every area will drop sazan from red crates, but desert and coast are good ones to look in.
