It's also possible that you've made mistakes during your testing, there's multiple conditional damage boosting skills that you have to pay attention to, especially on Ranger (depending on how you've handled your skill tree), or maybe you missed the perfect attack timing.

is this game dmg formulation bugged or what ?I am not a theorycrafter, but what I've gathered from other sources is that damage is not always 100% according to the decalred notation. Ilgrants for example deals 7% of notation per missile when uncharged, 12% of notation per missile when charged, which means optimal 21% uncharged and 120% charged. It is possible that some similar variants play role for the above PAs too.

I checked the Japanese swiki (https://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%83%95%E3%82%A9%E3%83%88%E3%83%B3%E3% 82%A2%E3%83%BC%E3%83%84%2F%E3%83%A9%E3%83%B3%E3%83 %81%E3%83%A3%E3%83%BC%E7%B3%BB) to see if it has any information. Divine Launcher deals 100% of stated notation, Cosmo Breaker 105% and Zero Distance 100%.

The other thing that you need to ensure is that the above numbers are criticals. If they are not critical hits, then they are subject to RNG according to the weapon's variance, your DEX value and enemy's DEX value. Fellow players who are into the game mechanics can help more.

i was just talking about the PA power, some PAs got high power but actual dmg is pathetic, those above are just examples if you want another one : SWORD RIDING SLASH, this PA is totally trash even with full gears max charge and it got high power.

jinga is the best pet on NA, each jinga break can do 30-40k while i can just hold the PA button spamming that for ezy game, maybe melon is a JP thing or involved EP 4 5 6 contents buff because NOBODY actually uses it on NA, it's a horrible pet here, my Lv85 melon can do maximum 80k dmg after taking several hits, sometimes if the monsters attack are too strong melon died too.

Jinga Pulsar is a damage over time PA, it doesn't do only 2 hits.

yep sol your looking at things the completely wrong way as ezodag has just said pulsar is a DAMAGE OVER TIME and comparing it to anything else is moot. pso2 is not so simple that huge power = huge hit so get that in your head right now.

power values in this game are perfectly fine however they do not equate to actual power in a lot of cases. the PA notations are only a "multiplier modifier" in the damage formula after which some values are specifically applied to individual hits as Dark Mits told you. Additionally crit and skill values as Ezo pointed out matter a whole lot at figuring out a PA's actual damage. and then the defense and resistance of enemy/enmies part are also key to figure out your exact output. Which is to say power notations alone are only a very small part of the damage calculation to figure out the exact damage of a PA.
Not to mention your empirical testing is dubious at best
- Jinga Pulsar is actually a DoT and and the initial damage of the PA should repeat 8 times on the target over 14 seconds or so at 12% of the notation value each. which means 12k x 8 + 4k = 100k total over the full ticks
- I suspect you hit cosmos breaker directly at rockbear's head, in which case only the initial first few hit hit the weakpoint, and the rest gets soaked by the body, with a much weaker multiplier, or vice versa. The way the expanding ball hits/misses weakpoint is very specific so I highly doubt you got the full 15 hits on the exact same part of the rockbear in the first place.
- I also I'm unsure about riding slash test, as the PA behaviour is ass, but does a crapton in a few specific situations. The issue with riding slash is it hits up to 4 times while travelling if it's fully charged, but since you're travelling, you're prone to miss hits on some enemies/at some angles. So I suspect you didn't get all the hits right or didn't fully charge ( each hit is 25% of the notation, lv 1 charge is 1 hit, lv2 is 2, lv 3 is 4).

And as in every game, damage notation tells you nothing about the damage per second, which is the value you want to know to understand how to apply your PA. swiki has the values listed if you can navigate moonrunes/ decipher translator results, but even if you don't, common sense is the important thing t to get a rough grasp of what's good in what situation . Power notations are very misleading in that respect so you shouldn't even bother too hard about them.

Regardless, the Atlas Drache Ex with Immortal Soul Plus suggestion is correct. It has better base damage, and double the latent damage boost, so it's still 100% the better choice for you Shambertin.

You can save your class palette at the Class Counter and Fashion in the Fashion/Catalog category in the menu's (where you would equip weapons/units)

So I've been playing PSO 2 NA on a tv screen and noticed that the font is very difficult to read on a tv than it is on the JP client. The JP client has a nice large clean font that is easy for me to read from afar. Does anyone know how to change the settings on NA to match the same font on JP?

Just your basic appearance data from the salon. Nothing related to your actual JPN account can be moved over, ie. no meseta, no items, no fashion tickets, etc.

No, the JP version has items that don't exist in the NA version, so such a transfer wouldn't be feasible.

That's the main weakness of the class.
There's not much you can do about it. Whenever the Lavis Cannon (14* wand) is released -and also eventually any stronger wand with S5 ability support-, you'll have a major boost on single target damage but until then you're pretty stuck.

Edit: The thing that we did on the JP servers a long time ago was to use partisans and Vol Graptor combos but I checked your high-end TE equipable partisans and they're both pretty bad so you would end up losing damage compared to wand normals.

The set bonus was removed, but they were given a buff to their natural stats, so each one now gives 120 HP, 13 PP, 60 All-ATK, +5% S-/R-/T-Resist, +5% Ice-/Wind/Light-Resist, and 40 DEX.

You've got to go kill some Anga and Dio Hunar in Ultimate Quests.

Are there meme builds that have a Subclass weapon equipped instead of Mainclass one which are not "useless" (25% or lower than meta builds)? Has there been any news about further extension of 13*s and the introduction of extension of 14*s (since there is a tab already at the craft station)?

the only meme build i know its TE/SU , just use the rose tackt or the dusk tackt , you count with full support passives while you fight as a summoner

The Invade-NT 13* are super powerful crafts, definately in the top 5 of all weapons at the moment when crafted at the maximum possible level.

It's really resource consuming to get them to "15*" level but if you want to be able to make a special build with a subclass weapon, Invade-NT is the place to start.

As for the meme build which might work, no idea. FI/BO with Dual Blade, maybe?
I wonder what the current FI/TE might be like, now.

from depth100~999, any particular attack/PA can only deal 10% of his maximum health during the fight. for example, charged ilgrants can add up to 10%, charged grants can add up to 10%, etc. barantsion's damage is both ice and light, so the different hits can do up to 10% each (or 20% in total). same with rebarantsia.

you won't notice extremely excessive damage from masq until depth 990+. after that his attack begins to scale more heavily where at 997~998 he will one shot with nearly anything. depth999 will do millions of damage with every single attack meaning you cannot take damage, need iron will, or an atra ix wep, etc.

his behavior will also undergo subtle changes every 100 or 200 floors.

Depends on your basewear and outerwear. On some layered wear you can see the innerwear. Some innerwear also has like tattoos or something that you can see on your character.

The ep5 ones were the simple compound techs (re zandia, re fomelgia, re baransia), which NA doesn't have yet. Currently NA only has the the original compound techs (zandion, fomelgion, barantsion), which were also released on Ep3 on JP.

You also get 10 or 20, I believe, for every "level" you get after 95.

you're daily/weeklies expire at midnight/maintenance JP time every day/week. So for dailies, 11am EST every morning, Weeklies, the same day Maintenance always is with maybe exception to the time if they decide to do Maint earlier than usual. Bonus Keys expire ONE week after you claim them from the rewards. Campaign keys have a set date on them so they're an exception to this majority of the time.

Side note: I use PSO2 Tweaker.Adding to Kril's response, some dates/times are shown in local time and some in server time (JST / UTC+9). For example Bonus key, My Room, My Shop, PSO2es, Material and EX Storage expiration times are shown in local time, whereas daily/weekly refresh times for Client orders, NPC shop listings and campaigns are shown in server time. Exceptions here are some campaign rewards (for example Bonus keys from campaigns, not from daily missions or featured quests) which will have an expiration date like 8/1/2020 00:00 (midnight of 1st August 2020), which is JST!

Sega is also kind enough to extend expiration time of keys, My Room, My Shop etc. when maintenance takes place. So you will notice that expiration time of the above has shifted some hours to the future after each maintenance.

To be on the safe side, make sure you complete time-limited campaigns and consume any time-limited rewards 1 day earlier than stated expiration date and time.

Upslotting to 8s will be pretty tedious in this campaign though. I mean, yeah, it doesn't cost meseta but you still need support items like the 40% affixing items. And
because we only get +5% affixing success rate through the campaign, the rate for making anything 8s is kind of low and you might burn a couple of those affixing success items.
Not saying it's impossible but definitely harder in comparison to when we have +15% success rate from events and stuff.
Other than that you should grind and affix what you can while the campaign is there.
What I did is pretty much two things:

1. I prepared all my weapons that I need later on to make more Stil. Since you need Dim weapons which you can buy pretty cheap with 8s already and you
can already prepare these and then use the Dim in the trade for Stil as Base weapon and you'll have all your desired affixes. (Aside of an S5 S-Ability, since Dim don't support that)

2. I made an 13* Austere Unit set. They just recently released and are pretty good in my book. So if you have some 12* Austere in your storage or something
you could upgrade them to 13* and reaffix them while the campaign is there. (If you're interested in them, of course)

Prices are going up because people buy the items for their upgrades in the zero grind cost campaign. The items will probably return in some Support Scratch at some point
but I don't think there is any new Support Scratch in sight. At least I haven't heard of a new one in the next few weeks.

You can grind Candies for those Candy titles if you don't play Su and if you do play Su then it's a better benefit to grind a bunch of Candies for future use.
Other than that, I guess get some grinding done that you may need in the future or if you have some of those OT 13* weapons you want as a camo, grind those too.

You can expect them to come into rotation in about a month when the LQ that comes out this maint to end because naturally a Affix Boost week is rewarded at the end of these along with usual rewards. So you have time to save up and then buy at lower prices

On the official road map and all things like titles, Crafting is still called Crafting on the NA server. The issue is that people are taking the term "crafting" from other things and applying it to affixing Abilities/Augments (with augmenting being a more correct term than crafting anyway since that what it is usually called when you add extra abilities to slots on weapons in various games, ie. you are making it better, not making something new).

If true, then I dont see the problem, assuming the people using the term have no knowledge of the existence of said system. I mean semantics aside, craft does convey the message when refering to upgrades and creating stuff in games.

Funnily, the confusion would only apply to those with the extra knowledge. That being said, willfully using that term knowing that an actual craft systems exists(or is coming) is just being obtuse. Wonder how many players there fit that bill :p

You can spend star gems to shorten the wait time until the next egg synthesis. Doing so has the added benefit of giving a bonus to the experience gained per egg for five eggs (Swiki estimates this bonus to be 200%).

I'm not sure that's a better way to level your pets (IMO there are better uses for SG), but it's good to be aware of that option.

Edit: the first time you do this, the cost is 10 SG. The cost will eventually increase the more you do it.

On JP, the summoner class was introduced in Ep.4. On Na, the Su class is already out, but they are still on Ep.3. I'm guessing that has something to do with it. From my experience o nNA, eggs do not drop at all when you are playing any class other than summoner.

Back in the day you could obtain only a few Lambda Grinders each week(i think it was 10-12/week/character), it came from Zieg's crafting(actual crafting, not NA bullshit craft) client orders. Due to this people spread the message to make fodders(wasting meseta and exp in the process) to use as little as possible Lambda Grinders.

The Swiki says the power boost is 18%, 19% and 20% and depends on the Photon Blast gauge.
Now I wonder, how much does the gauge need to be filled to trigger these boosts?

I have a question pertaining to astral soul on units.

Since I need 1x Darkness Soul + 4x Soul Catalysts and transferring the soul catalysts is a low success rate, I would need to put any desired affixes on while making the catalysts. Is that correct?

How profitable is it to do this units? Which precursor souls (apprentice, elder, etc.) are the hardest to obtain? Is it worth upslotting when putting astral soul on my final affix or is it better to just do it at the slot level I desire?

I hear Astral Soul is BiS. I see it provides a well-rounded stat boost across the board. But comparing it with other souls, it doesn't seem like a significant improvement (at least in comparison to the amount of effort put in to obtain it). I'm on NA so maybe there is content that will make it shine down the road?

There are multiple ways to get an Circular Amphitrite Stone:


Get it from the title award for 50M total Divide Quest points
Get it from the title award for clearing the Dark Falz Persona EQ 50 times
Get it from the title award for earning 7.2M total points in the Armada EQ
Get it from the title award for earning 1200 titles
Buy it from Zieg for 900 Sage Crests (limit 1)
A miracle could happen where it drops in an EQ

None of these are fast. However, if you really have your heart set on getting a Lightstream weapon, you should be aware of the multiple ways of getting the stone.

I'm not completely certain, but, from what I read, I think simply having the tickets in your inventory (or storage?) will enter you into the lottery automatically, where having more tickets gives you a higher chance of winning. Then after this week's maintenance is over, you can exchange the tickets at a new exchange shop (where you can exchange them for Sage Crests?).

EDIT: I meant you need to have the tickets in your inventory during maintenance. Then right after maintenance is done, you can exchange the tickets for sage crests, assuming I've gotten any of this right.

Katana will do better in area's where Rod can't if I remember right, granted you know resistances. Obviously Rifle in UH has it's ranged mutliplier lower than the other 2 so it performs worse.

2. Yes (personally been soloing those solo-able content like Endless Quests and Divide Quests which are new if youre not familiar with it)
3. Yes (we have a thing called 'Arks Mission' which are separated by main, daily and weekly missions. Main gives really good stuff for new players, straight out gives good units and tickets to be exchanged for weapons that new players can start with. Weekly missions (must be lvl50 for the good stuff) can net you around 2m meseta and a Bonus Tokyo Gold ticket)

Once you have linked your accounts, then yes, you can delete the Windows 10 version. After linking them, I even installed the Steam version on my laptop that didn't have the Windows 10 version installed, and had no problems.

No idea on the Steam controller thing, though.

there sorta isnt a fast way of grinding for these stones, they're box rewards with low rates, you either you get it or dont and 250% RDR tickets and RDR boosters in general won't boost the chances of it dropping. hopefully RNGesus blesses you enough times to get what you need.

you're only alternatives are the monthly 4 (which resets this upcoming maintenance btw) and i think the one or two you get from the Arks Mission the first time only (its account rewarded). you just missed the 2 they gave out during the anniversary LQ's we just had.

yes if you die you need to restart from begin npc can die but the life bar on emergency trial must not reach 0

Her most powerful attack has a big tell, once you can recognize the animation that she does before, it becomes easier to avoid that attack. Pretty much you just have to not attack her while her barrier is up.

You cannot transfer Mark affixes unless you have a Mark Receptor.
Souls transfer at 50% rate if you have 2 of the same and 80% if you have 3 of the same.

it's ASSUMED that each weapon will come +30, all speculation, nobody knows the answer to this until either Sega confirms it or after the update. Yes you can of course skip that grind and go straight to +35 with Grind Caps and be on the final step.

I'm just going from what i've seen so far on PSO2 Station. At 37:22 the sword being purchased (Angels Edge) has no grind points so i'm also just assuming we need 6 copies, just like Profound weapons for Lightstream. Well either way. Made a big brain move and bought Grind caps just in case. We'll know more later as you said.

If you are trying to link your Microsoft/XBox PSO2 account because you played on that platform, then you need to launch a MS Store or XBox One version of the game to get the link code.

With the Tweaker, you can use the same install for the Steam and MS version, but you have to go through the proper steps for that via the arks-layer site.

Also, just in case it needs to be said, you cannot link a JPN SEGA ID account to the North American/Global Steam or Microsoft versions.

Can someone simply explain to me how to log into my PSO2 account? I have both steam and MS versions downloaded but I want to log into my old account..I think it has an old Sega JP ID. I do not have an xbox or steam login...I want to play with my old account.

You cannot use a JPN SEGA ID account on the NA/Global Steam and MS Store versions of the game. The servers are completely separate and have no method to transfer from one to another.

Install a JPN install of the game either through the official JPN PSO2 site or via the Tweaker set to the Japanese version. Remember, since they are separate servers, you cannot play with people who are running the MS Store or Steam versions if you are playing on a JPN account.

Probably an obvious answer. What is the advantage of the ring: slow dive roll? What about short mirage step? Does anyone really use these rings? I can see the advantage behind short mirage step, but what do the others offer? Better invincibility frames?

Better invincibility frames?Slow Dive Roll ring extends the invincibility window, at the expense of requiring equally additional time to return to a fighting position. It's pretty much the opposite of Short Mirage. From a pure dps point of view it reduces output and at this moment I cannot think of any enemy abilities that can be avoided with Slow Dive which cannot be avoided with normal dive. It is one of those options that exists for players who want to be a bit more on the safe side.

i saw a summoner dude using Glass in mining base VR using a photon blast/Julius N in very beginning of Wave 1. how is that even possible? i recall PB require you to deal certain damage or take certain damage to build it's charge

it's very weird considering
- you only have 30s before the wave start spawning mob. and it won't be enough to make full charge PB in UH difficulty
- you can deal damage to standing tower to restore PP (just like 12* queen vera back then) but it won't count in parser and won't trigger lifesteal weapon potential
- the dude is standing in boss spawn area which implies he wasn't smacking the tower to deal dmg

am i missing something? is there a niche weapon potential / candy that makes you have full charge PB in very beginning of the run before you deal any damage? i tried to ask around and they told me to take my meds. i usually record my run but missed this one (VR is not that interesting)

Are 14 star weapons max grinded to +35 the same way 13 star weapons are? Would I need 6 of a single 14 star weapon in order to max it out? Thanks

ThanksAll the same grind cap rules that apply to 13*s apply to 14 and 15 too. Just make sure you actually check the grind cap, because all 13* and higher weapons DROP with maxed grind cap. Getting them from other stuff like trade ins usually doesn't though.

presss Q change weapon info tab to 2 then look at the bottom text if it 30 then you need it to over extend but in these days those 13-15 drops are already at 35
