I plan on buying a makeover pass because Aquanos looks ugh
the pass says it last for a complete hour, right? so does that only apply when i'm actually IN the make over shop, or once I use the pass time applies in and outside of the make over shop?

Ok, say I save data with red hair and then save data again with green hair, when I load that data, will it be the same colored hair as I originally saved it as? I ask this so I don't have to use another makeover pass again just for hair color. So pretty much have a bunch of saved data with just different hair colors.

The 1 hour delay is just for premium users and time starts running when you confirm your modifications. During that time frame, you can step outside, check if you like it or modify again.

And no, that doesn't work, you can't save data and use them for free, if the loaded data modify body parts or things like hair color, then you'll have to pay again.

Okay, asking it in the OTP thread didn't work, so let's try it here: I have serious trouble setting up OTP. Whenever I correctly enter the coupon code, I get an "Unable to verify Coupon code. [143]" error. Searching the net did not help; Japanese players used to have this problem with i-SecureOTP, but, apparently, it was supposed to already be resolved or something. Searching english sites gave zero results, as I should have probably expected. So, does anyone know what can be done about this?

Making a new character for Force is a really good idea, since you get a mag for free to put magic on

The difference in stats is way less than in previous titles; But yeah, if you really wanna respec to another playstyle which is dependent on different stat types than your current, you'll want that second mag.

Female Newman Force has 528 base T-Attack, at Lv70.
Female CAST Force has 460 base T-Attack, at Lv70.
That's about a 13% difference. A farcry from PSU's ~50%~ racial differences (IIRC, offensive Tech's were NEVER ok on any CAST... unless You were a Struggling CAST ForteTecher named Deja).

For added emphasis on Race being pretty much just a cosmetic choice in this game:
Male Deuman Hunter, at Lv70 has 513 base S-Attack.
Male Newman Hunter, at Lv70 has 480 base S-Attack.
That's a 6.5% difference. Even less noticeable than your T-Attack question.

tl;dr
Unless you trying to squeeze every last drop of damage (which would imply you also have the meseta & luck to get the best affixes on all your gear), go ahead & have your Fembot whoosh-whoosh things. As long as you know what attacks to use when & where, 13% isn't much to cry about. Hell, once you put on a good 10* Tech weapon (900 ~ 1100 T-Attack), that 13% stat difference becomes about a 6% difference.

Force Talent grants a 50% to the spells that matches the attribute of the weapon. So a 50 Dark would gain a 25% boost in damage.

It still boosts damage. 50 of an element boost overall damage. Dark is great against rappies, sky dragons, and sanctum...and sometimes Chrome.

It's RNG to craft all class daggers, having cameos twin daggers can evade that frame dropping of niskiki. Other option is to get

Crafted ones are the way to go. I use twin rippers, dunno if they're the best but a bunch of people seem to use them. I see twin edge / twin blades in TA videos more often though.

They should be very easy to make, and very cheap to make.

This is confirmation bias, but it seems to be easier to get all-class on them at ExLv.3-4 (on 3* rare or lower). I generally get it to whatever extend level brings it to a 15-25 minute cooldown timer cause it syncs well with using lilipoop.

In any case, it should be cheap, and take at most like 20 tries to get all-class.

Either way, the mb one is the way to go. There aren't many obtainable all class twin daggers in general. The only other one I can think off is the lovely rappy ones but I work on hearsay for what drops fps.

From what I've heard, it also cause FPS drops. And I'm not that fond of it as well. It'd be nice if there were (but as we know, never will) a feature where you spend a weapon to turn it into a cammo. I'd surely make a cammo out of G Nero Dagger or Iblis Blood.

Although, if there were such feature, it'd require several AC items to create one cammo, though. If Sega feels greedy enough, they'll be not tradeable, and will be rarity 9* up to get on scratch.

So I'm looking for suggestions. I want to dedicate a rod to casting my ice techs. I don't have talis bonus and I don't have an ice tree, so it's just to get a little extra boost when I do use ice. I'd deal with extending an adaman only if it were actually going to make a difference which I'm skeptical of. I was leaning toward either a stark katz for general purpose or that vid gilos rod for oceanid hunter. Ideas? Btw I'm not getting talis bonus nor currently an ice tree so forget about talises and photon flare boosts.

I am about to use the excubes to trade for the units with lucky rise, I plan to extend them to make them viable in higher difficulties; however, I am aware that crafting eliminates the hidden bonuses on units. I want to know if extending those specific units at the cube shop will eliminate any bonuses that will hinder lucky rise or anything related to the increase in luck. Since I do not know what hidden bonuses these specific units provide as they are the only units in the game with lucky rise and at a high ex cube cost.

If nothing detrimental occurs then I will proceed with the extend process.

First, welcome.

Now to the question: No, extending them won't void boosts given by affixes (such as Lucky Rise, Shoot III, Gwana Soul and so on). Note that Lucky Rise does not increase rare equipment drop rate, only things like stones and the like.

Units do, however, have hidden stats, like some do give some HP, of PP, or elemental resistance, or striking/ranged/tech defense. When you craft an unit, you void it of these hidden stats to be replaced with standardized stats, based on the type of defense you select as requirement for the unit, something like:

Selecting S-def gives 30HP and 1PP
Selecting R-def gives 20HP and 2PP
Selecting T-def gives 10HP and 3PP (corrected)

I'm not exactly sure about these numbers, but they scale like that. You can look up the hidden stats for each unit at pso2.swiki.jp (using google translator) and also pso2.cirnopedia.info.

It's a preferable choice which you like to use talis or rod. The talis using the 20% skill damage bonus will do higher damage than the rod.

Correct, if not sure if Hunter for HP or Fo for PP, you can always go FO for both.

If you're not 70 already, you should extend for whatever class you are so you can meet the stat requirement for extensions earlier. As a HU, extend striking. As a FO, extend tech. As a BR, extend based on your subclass and race (e.g. as BR/FO female newman, extend tech). In the end, you're choosing between up to +60 HP vs. up to +6 PP -- not a really big difference either way.

Don't worry too much about the absolute quality of your item early on. When you extend units, you retain the abilities and set bonus and pretty much nothing else. Innate parameters are overwritten. You're better off grabbing a set from the marketplace of even the junkiest armor type with a few good affixes. All DEF stats are the same after extension on all units. You can spend 200k on a cheap set of stuff and extend it for 1100+ DEF stats at level 30.

I would say so. Its 5 hours of play, but you generally get a really comfortable play area with fancy chairs and computer equipment. And SEGA of course gives extra benefits for playing in some of them since they have deals with some of those places.

You must be in the air before using Trick Rave to be able to cancel/block out of it.

That is correct. Which is why you see most people stop at 3 when doing multiple affixes. It's safer and affordable. Also, it only boosts if you have a ability level 3 already. Combining "ability name" level 2 and "ability name" level 2 to make "ability name" level 3 is NOT boosted.

While this is normally true, there are some situations where it depends on what's affixed on both armor sets. Your Gloam Set example, I actually tested (and ended up wasting a lot of meseta on) against a crafted set of 3* armor. The Gloam Set (with a Vardha Leg piece) all had Quartz Soul + Power III. My crafted 3* set all have Cougar Soul + Vinculum + Mutation +Ability III (farmed from the Mizer + Cougar EQ).

The Gloam set ended up with more attack power (from a better set bonus, the 3* set bonus was like 30 HP or some nonesense), but was actually taking MORE damage than the 3* "Cougar Craft" set. This was tested against a single Lv63 Oodon & with only its forward kick attack.

tl;dr
Crafted armors are great for unfortunate / poor / non-premium players & to have POSSIBLY very SLIGHTLY better defense than some of the 10* sets. However, I think the 10* & up sets are still better options, just because they end up with more attack bonuses & HP or PP bonuses.

The "pulse" is charging the PA. Let it go when it is red and you'll add extra effects to your PA. For example, Sakura End hits a wider area for more damage, Shunka Shunran adds three more attacks if you hold a key. Just Attack is perfectly timing the attacks one after another according to the circle that comes over you.

Block 20s for general English in Ship 2... but u can try check out other ships such as Ship 10 and soon your Japanese will be brushed up enough to communicate with them...

1: Yes -- type it into the 2nd box. You can use the search function like you do the name of the item.

You need to clear lv.5 of the element first, then do 25 of the lv.2 element recipe to get the first 3 tech of that specific element, then do 50 Lv.3 to get the other 3 tech.

You need to clear lv.5 of the element first, then do 25 of the lv.2 element recipe to get the first 3 tech of that specific element, then do 50 Lv.3 to get the other 3 tech.

There is not. You have to use your subpalette. Through a macro in an external program I'm sure you could set any old key to redirect to a subpalette slot, but I don't know that that's what you want.

What exactly do the weapon actions on the Double Saber and Twin Daggers do?

Dagger action resets your combo/chain, give you a bit of altitude, fills up one bar or dagger gear and acts as a short dodge.

Double Saber action also resets your combo/chain, it uses up all of your double saber gear to create a wind aura that follows you, causing damage over time and refilling your gear with those hits. I'm not sure if it does anything else or if there are dodge/invincibility frames in it.

Double saber's weapon action requires the gear for it in the skill tree. You build up the bar and unleash a torrent of wind that will hit everything around you within a short distance.

Twin dagger's action acts as a split second guard, attack and PA canceling.

I Honestly just need someones opinion.

So I've got tons and tons of units with 0 - 2 abilities on them. I Was thinking about searching them all up for a little cash, but the units are all 10* so it wouldn't matter anyways right? So i'm trying to find use for these units and the only open option I can think of is to recycle them. I'm trying to choose between grinders and Photon Spheres. if I did decide to throw them in the shop they're only worth like 3 - 4k when recycling 5 of them for grinders would be a better profit...I don't know...I just don't see the use for like 67 10* Unit tickets.

Recycle them to Photon Sphere.

30 Grinders = 30k
1 Photon Sphere = 50k or more

Then you can use the PS to unlock latents or sell them if you need cash

I installed the regular english patch and the story patch through the pso2 tweaker, but I'm still seeing alot of things in japanese, mainly the tooltips (like using the quest counter/visiphone/visiting a shop for the first time)

There is no way. Technically, Xie (Spring) and Xie (Fest 2014) are two different NPCs, and the client order was for Xie (Spring), which does not exist any more.

This game unresponsiveness also happens randomly when picking up CO's. It will refuse to pop up the dialogue and there's nothing i can do except alt-tab and shut down the game externally. Does anyone know what exactly causes this and how to avoid it?
