Achievements and recipes are sadly separate, as are "character bought crafting slots".

What are the FUN prize amounts for having placed in the top room's visit ranking? Is it only for the top 100?

Basically this. Telling new players they are scrubs because they dont have some "easy" millions of meseta is not only unhelpful, but discouraging.

All Z-0 did was explain how to make top tier affixes and make money. He didn't say anything about people being scrubs or make any effort to discourage people from playing. He did literally nothing but provide helpful information to any up and coming player looking to break into high-level play. It's honestly extremely helpful as long as you understand that the prices diminish quite significantly if you just affix everything yourself instead of buying literally everything you need, especially with the change to how Skilled Trainer functions.

Been away a long time and saw that there is the tweaker now. I also see something about an episode 3? Is that a new thing or just another name for pso2, also any general info i should know now?

If anything, it just made me feel bad to think that my 10mil is "virtually nothing". It would've been better if (s)he didn't say that 8+figure quantities are "cheap".

Otherwise, spot on.

Tweaker is basically an English launcher with support for installing and backing-up the English patches.
Episode 3 is just the name for the latest big expansion to the game. It introduced the Bouncer class, the planet Harukotan(sic), the Casino, Episode 3 of the story, and various other changes.
Some general stuff: Daily Boost from Daily Orders gives you up to a 30% Triboost for 24 hours, there are now missions with Extra Hard difficulty, and they introduced the Ultimate Naberius quest and an new 12-player boos, Magatsu. Probably more stuff, depending on how long you've been gone.

Since they introduced the ability to create sets at the class counter I was wondering.

Can you change to a set even if the gear for that set is in storage or do the items have to be in my inventory?

All the gear on the set automatically goes to your inventory. This is such a convenient feature.

However it wont put anything back to your storage.

That's fine, but when someone says that, "You could've used that to affix, if you really wanted those abilities", it should
be given the same respect. One shouldn't buy all that AC stuff with meseta and complain later about gear.

I dunno about you, but I don't think you would be complaining about your own gear that much if you considered spending meseta on AC phasion. Doesn't mean you won't complain about how broke you are, though.

The problem comes when OTHERS complain about your (crappy) gear, which is in that state because of how you spent your meseta, which comes back to the whole "don't tell me how I play this game" attitude.

(not *you* specifically/directly, i meant that indirectly if it wasn't clear).

Z-0 even gave a starting point of 95 ATK/equip that's stated to be <5m to fill out a set. He also said that "you should be looking at 120 per equip", which would be a pretty lofty standard for beginners, but that was in a post obviously tailored to a different audience.

Honestly, that's more than adequate for a starting price and it's wonderful performance for said price. I don't really get what the commotion is all about.

Nothing about jealousy.

When a new player is asking for help, its rude to say things like "hey guess what 300m is pocket change to me" which apparently is hard for some people to understand. Unless that was the whole point, but this is the quick questions thread, not the showoff thread.

Basically this. Telling new players they are scrubs because they dont have some "easy" millions of meseta is not only unhelpful, but discouraging.

Okay, so what you're saying is that 15m meseta is too much money to ask someone to spend for a *full unit set* that they will use for a very long time.

If you assume the average super freemium player can run two taco and XQCO sets a week, which is NOT much effort at all considering you have the whole week to do it (and plenty of strong players who will be glad to carry you through them if you're polite), those alone are about 2m per character. Add on top of that whatever dailies that person does, and they should easily make the 5m-ish required to affix one unit one set.

Do that next week, and then the next. There. Now you have decent units that you can use for a while until you're well-off. This doesn't even take into account how much you can make from your shop if you have one through shop passes or premium. This is pure NPC money with the default two character slots.

And I'm not saying jealousy for players in general, I'm saying jealousy from you specifically towards Z-0. It's very clearly showing.

Edit: LMAO I misread - it's 5m for the whole fucking set. If you really think asking people to put together 5m for a whole unit set is too much, then you're out of your mind. People spend six times that much on lobby actions and costumes, you think they'd be willing to spend a fraction of it to make their character not suck.

I feel like I should also add that when Z-0 said cheap, he meant for what you're getting. Yes, 5m can be a decent chunk of meseta. 30-50m is definitely a decent chunk of meseta. 100m is a lot of meseta. But when you get something as strong as you're getting, it's super cheap compared to what we used to have to deal with. It used to cost that same amount just to make +100 attack 5s units.

It's cheap, but it only has ATK. In the post it was mentioned PP should be covered by PP crafts, although that leaves the player with 0 HP and 0 strike resist.

It's definitely a relatively cheap set for 95 ATK, but also a hardcore set. Not something I'd recommend to a new player unless they plan to go into TAing.

If you care about HP/resistances, you can take care of that in the crafting at the cost of some PP. Or from having a unit set that gives it and not crafting it, I guess. In either case, you can still get really nice survivability without putting anything but attack on your units.

Plus, it's probably better to learn this game with lower HP values so you don't get conditioned on doing dumb shit.

On top of that, the more attack you have, the faster you can kill stuff without having to worry about them even HAVING a chance to attack you back.

Also, most of the shit in this game isn't that bad to dodge. This game isn't like other MMOs. This game is more about evasion than tanking.

500K FUN gave me roughly 2,000 +1s. They are 30K each. That's 60M right there.
Getting money in this game isn't about luck, it's about knowing what to do, contrary to popular belief.
Said the lucky one... 500.000 FUN means you scratched 5000 times. 2000 "Grind+1" means you got "Grind+1 x2" 1000 times.
So you got "Grind+1 x2" once out of five times, which is VERY LUCKY. Stop trying to give lessons. It makes you even less credible.

Or maybe it is that common and you just have to roll the dice that many times to see that? With a coin, you can flip heads instead of tails like 8 times in a row, but do it like 100000 times instead and see what happens eventually.

Why do I even bother? Good lord.

In my experience (though I usually only scratch about 20k FUN at a time), you can always expect more risk reducers from scratching FUN as opposed to buying it straight from the FUN shop by margin of ~30-40%. So, getting 2k reducers from 500k FUN is somewhat on the lucky side. Though, it's still quite profitable when the return is within expected values and Z-0's point stands regardless.

And this dude has an established history of antagonistic posting. You should really refrain from engaging him.

I stopped keeping track because of laziness, but due to magatsu's excube rain, I've been scratching a lot more and 15~20% is about right.

My question: How would one go about deleting voice files from the game, specifically and exclusively Melitta?

My question: How would one go about deleting voice files from the game, specifically and exclusively Melitta?

You have to extract the voice file, change it to a void track, then repack all the shit. The file repacking software isn't public, so it's not going to happen. Set your voice volume slider to 0% or deal with it.

If you really wanted meseta, you could get about 2.5M fun points and buy 999 10% and sell'em at a low rate. Like say, 120k
120,000×999= 119,880,000. Of course you'd kill the 10% grind boost market if you try to sell them all at once
Another thing you could do is buy all the cheap 5% boosters and sell them during boost week

So im following this guide that i asked for earlier

https://worldsojourner.wordpress.com/2015/01/06/pso2-affixing-101/

And I'm working on step 4a- right now i have vol soul power 3 stam 3 on my weapon and i would love to get spirita 3 as well. But getting vol soul pow & stam 3 already cost me about 1.3 million.

Does this sound right or am i doing something wrong here?

The base cost of affixing to my gear is 38,000 (10* leg unit, crafted)

Step 1 alone to make fodder costs well over 500k from this point on

If youre only doing 4 slots, you could always do what I do and just buy the items separately.

(Vol Soul + 3x junk) (Spirita III +3x junk) etc

Try to find an item with 2 of what you need (Vol Soul + Power III etc) and youll only need to buy 2 or 3 material items. Then go straight to Dudu and put everything there. Because you can use up to 5, it saves a lot of hassle (and $). Ive never used more than 4 though.

[Edit] Forgot to add you will need 2 soul items, and Soul Receptor is an option. Receptors often come with other good abilities like Power III.

Well I was doing the 3slot to 4 slot route using a +30 affix item to guarantee 100% on all four. On my ship (ship 9) any level 3 ability on a unit costs about 100k a piece. Finding one with 2 is nearly impossible. Making a level 3 will cost you a little more then just buying the piece itself. 3 slot receptor is about 350-400k where as 4 slot is a few million.

Im just curious if its the way im going about it that seems like a lot, or if how much i paid for just those three items is typical considering the cost of items on my ship?

It costs roughly 600k to use 5 fodder items alone- basically, step 2 costs 600k not counting mats. At this rate, im looking at upwards around 4-5 million for just one piece of gear to 4 slot

Now that I think about it, Step 1 is kinda silly. I'll use a cheaper method that isn't 100%, but since it's fodder retrying should be cheap anyway.

The thing was I was kind of divided about suggesting sub-100% in a guide because if it explodes - see failure thread for 99%s failing multiple times - that'd be on me.

But I have to say Ship 9 sounds expensive! I was working with Ship 2 where Receptors were 150k and Lv3s were around I think 20k when I did my stuff. Have you tried searching for higher slot items? Sometimes 4S is cheaper than 3S and all. If I find 3S items too expensive, I re-search with the # of Abilities box left blank and buy 4S, 5S etc if they happen to be cheaper.

Yeah units are quite a bit more expensive. It is probably better to use that method from Selphia's guide then because the savings will be more significant.

My method saves time, effort and headaches from doing all the math so its up to you how much meseta the headaches are worth. After all, time is money heheh

Well to me evasion time = 0 DPS time. I'm not sure using Massive Hunter to stand on Vardha's cannon and spam PBF while healing with Megiverse is dumb shit, considering I'm the one that usually ends up killing it once its cannon opens, while everyone else is busy dodging red circles.

Granted, PP wouldn't be necessary with PBF, but there's other builds and situations where PP would be of use.

But this is a classic HP vs ATK debate that will drag on till the end of time so I'd really rather not get into this.

LonelyGaruga

Not everyone uses Hunter though. HP vs ATK is different when we're talking super armor. The classic debate is HP vs x when there isn't super armor.

Though in your example, people really should be wrecking Vardha's missiles easily. Zan from tech users especially slices them up fast.

In XH Mega Mecha? The missiles seem pretty durable there since they can't be AoE'd. Shotgun attacks like Zan might make it easier but not every class has access to them. I started out hitting the missiles but it was taking too long, so in subsequent runs I went for the core instead. Gotta get those Lv17 disks and all.

Zan's a special case even among attacks that can pierce hitzones multiple times because Big Vardha (not King though) has a hidden 110% wind weakness and hits every missile on one side at once multiple times because of its wide range. Any Force or Techer can be doing that, and in XH Mega Mecha (or any given EQ for that matter), what kind of MPA lacks a Force and a Techer? Dunno what people are doing now, but breaking all the missiles is usually the fastest way to go if the fight can't be ended in a minute like how things were in SH, so a Force or Techer that isn't subclassing Hunter would probably be best off wrecking missiles.

Though, I only ran XH Vardha on two separate occasions (about 10 runs total) and the fights took forever (6 minutes on average) and people died all the time so it doesn't seem like a lot of people actually know how to fight Vardha, so that's probably why people are running around not doing anything when missiles are landing. Any attack that enables movement (while charging or the attack proper) could be used safely, so there's really no reason for missiles to be hindering players. You're probably playing with baddies.

Incidentally, does Vardha even drop any level 17 discs that cannot be acquired elsewhere (besides King Vardha's unique discs, but even those drop elsewhere, just not consistently)? Seems like running XH LQ would be better for that for every other disc Big Vardha could drop.

I think the first time I remember getting Exception was during the Ruins LQ with Knight Gear.

EDIT: Looking at the JP wiki, it looks like Exception can only occur during LQs.

Exception happens in some holiday EQs as well. The mechanic was introduced with the first Easter quest. Don't think it's been in every holiday EQ since, but it was definitely in some, think Summer 2 had it as well.

Ah, makes sense; I took "limited time quest" to mean just LQs, but seasonal EQs are also "limited time."

Hello, this is probably a dumb question but I've been having an issue with the blue Client Order icon (that lets you know you have objectives in that particular map) not appearing anymore when browsing the list of maps at the quest desk. It was working fine before then it just suddenly stopped showing. TACOs/Matter Board icons still show up fine, but no other kind of CO shows.

I have no idea how to get it back, I've pressed every button and nada. Searched all over the place and didn't see anyone else with this problem. If it matters at all, I turned 50 not long ago and I noticed that's when the icons disappeared. :-?

Thanks in advance.

I presume you're still able to access the CO's, and that it's only the blue CO icon that's missing?

Are you seeing a pink gift box icon instead? I believe that takes priority over the blue CO icon. You can still look at the minimap to see if the npc has CO's, simply by looking at whether the dot is blue or grey.

What do the chocolates from the valentine EQ do?

They give pretty hefty stat boost, depending on who you get them from. The five minute duration is pretty limit, but you get stuff like 100 S-ATK/50 T-ATk or an extra 10 PP. Could be useful for TAs, but that's about it IMO. :V

What's the best way to hunt for high slot (6 to 8 affix) soul units? Let's say I would like to farm 6 slot Vol Soul units, is there a method to do this as efficiently as possible?

What I am currently doing is leaving a weapon with "Skilled Trainer" potential in my character inventory, kill enough to S rank the run, then break all the boss parts I can. I'm not using any boosts or tickets when I do this method.

Is there a better way to do this, or this is as good as it gets?

Hello, thanks for replying. I can see the icons over the NPCs themselves, but I can't see it when I speak to Rebecca at the quest counter to select the map, etc. I know I have the COs in my log but the little blue icon to the right of the map's name doesn't show anything. I have a pic of the menu I'm referring to to help illustrate it better:

i.imgur.com/l9QkaQ4.jpg (It's not letting me post images/links due to being a new member.)

On the right hand side, there used to be a little blue icon that looked like a sheet of paper or something to indicate that you had a CO relevant to that area. Now it hasn't shown up for the past 2 days. I am certain I have the quests in my log.

As I said before, TACO quests and Matter Board icons do show up as normal. It's just every other CO that doesn't display any indicator. I would like to have the indicators back if that's at all possible.

As far as I'm aware, only CO's that directly involve completing those quests will show up as an icon similar to the matterboard guides. CO's that involve eliminating enemies that those quests could spawn with, will not show as a guide (e.g. [Defeat: Rockbear] will not present a guide on free field: Forest, but [Run: Forest exploration] will).

If even those CO's don't show up the guide, then......I honestly don't know.

As for my own question: where can I find a list of affixes along with their respective boosters? E.g. Stamina; boosted by X, Y, Z| Technique; boosted by A,B,C, etc.

I'm too lazy to use ctrl+F on cirnopedia; it'd be much more convenient to have the affix entries come with their respective boosters. I don't have time now, but when I do I'm probably going to resort to sorting it myself, manually, on a spreadsheet.

That's exactly what's happening. Literally no CO's other than TACOs and Matter Board's eagle icon thing will display at all, anywhere. I'm sitting at 20/20 quests in my log and not a single one of them show anything, in any category (Free Explore, Arks Quest, etc.).

Hello all,

This is my first post here as a new user to PSO World.

I have a sort of preference question, but I'm mainly looking for some class help.
I main BR/HU right now but I'm working on a FO/BR and RA/BR bow builds.
I'm set on how gear works in this game but Im a bit confused on what class seems to have an easier bossing time, FO/BR or RA/BR. I have multiple skill trees for my FO and BR to accomodate these builds.

I take it RA/BR is very positional dependant with nuke damage and FO/BR is more some nuke, but higher mobility?
Also, for force my spells seem weak even with decent gear, should i be max lvl crafting the important spells asap or it wont show as much until im 70+?
And for bow ranger should I primarily be mobbing with a launcher? When if ever is it better to use a rifle over my bow, or is bow simply for wb/ final nemesis situations.
And finally ( sorry alot of questions), should i be using a particular gunslash for gaining pp back as a force, or should I simply have an easier time going techer as far as pp quality of life goes? Thanks in advance!

Lets you change everything, except gender & name (name can be changed from a different AC transaction). If you have a premium account, then the pass lets you "trial use" it for 1 hour. So if you dont like the changes, you can go back in & change stuff some more. But if you have a basic account, then once you leave the salon: those changes are permanent (or until you get another Makeover Pass).

Mind, the 1 hour trial applies only to paid AC Makeover Passes; any free Makeover Passes that SEGA gives out don't have that 1 hour Premium grace period.
Also, it is always a good idea to save your salon data before you finalize changes, just in case you want to go back to that previous appearance.

If it can't be bought directly from player shops, then you have to trade for it at the Recycle Shop's Crafting Shop. Each one needs 10 of the appropriate Silva mat.

Fourier (orange): S-ATK+50 R-ATK+100
Claris (red/red&white bow): R-ATK+50 T-ATK+100

Yeah. Just doing the 3 boost dailies can get you most of the way there in like 20 minutes. Also, unless something has changed, you should have an extra character slot if you want to test the waters of Ship 02 instead of deleting your character on Ship 10(which takes 24 hours).

I am not arguing that 13* are better. I am quite aware of the gap in stats between 12* & 13*. However, ChainsawD was one of my favorite weapons back in PSU (along with the Carriguine-Rucar). So I must have it.

Also, I do admit to not doing Ultimate everyday... Primarily because all anyone ever does in those is just Anga Farm. In my experience, he is pretty much a guaranteed spawn every run. But Bayaribbles is an absurdly rare spawn for me (read: my personal experience, calm down you nitpicking lurkers). So even if the drop rate is some ridiculous 0.001% from the mobs, that's still better than ONLY dropping from a single boss that almost never shows up (for me).

Probably it's better to check right side and upper side on Area 2 if there's a chance clone appeared? Since if I went to the left part, Naura is always there ..... I'll try exploring it next time ._.

But yea, I never thought of finding clones before (didn't do it last year) ._.

1. Did PSO-W ban IP Address from SEA region?

Um, nope. I'm from SEA region and can access it just fine ..... probably the ISP is blocked? I know some people who can't access it here.

I have few questions about OTP.

I'm considering using the OTP for the extra storage, but I live in SEA. I'm assuming that since secureOTP is a separate company from Sega, can I use that on a phone that is in no way connected to a VPN/proxy, or would this raise a red flag to Sega and possibly result in a ban?

If I try the alternative of using secure OTP on bluestacks, should I have a VPN/Proxy also active on my PC to avoid getting banned since I live in SEA?

fun fact: If I use Tsukuba VPN Server from the SoftEther, I also can't access PSO-World. Coincidence?

Iirc, SecureOTP doesn't need VPN to use. So, just set it on your phone instead of the Bluestacks (Though, Bluestacks also doesn't need VPN)

today I try WB + chain trigger (GU/RA) but something weird happened, I do like this:
1. shooting WB and chain trigger from assault rifle
2. switch to tmg and start to build chain
3. but I can build up to 101 chain instead of 100
Anyone can explain?
I fear of getting banned from this, seriously

Xaeris
Feb 1, 2015, 03:37 AM
No need to fear, you won't get banned for it. Normally, when you hit 100, the Chain automatically triggers. If you start the Chain with shot from your rifle, that's a Chain count of 1. If you have Twice Chain, every TMG hit ups it by two, so when you get to 99 and deliver one more hit, it goes to 101.

I don't think there's any extra power in 101 compared to 100, but I have limited experience observing this since I don't usually rack the Chain that high.

So I'm a level 70 Fo / 48~ Te but I've been using the same equips for about 30 levels. What's the best/fastest way that I can improve my damage/durability (damage first).

Weapon is some random 5 slotted unpotential Heretic Saw that I bought off a shop for cheap.
Set is 3 Vol pieces.

I only have 10 mil to blow atm though I'd be willing to farm more through TACOs and whatnot.

Also a good skill build if you have any. I prefer to use all elements but I'll understand if only going 2/3 is more beneficial for my damage output.

If you pay 500 AC at the character select menu for "new character creation rights", are you forced start and to finish the creation process right then and there, within a certain amount of time, or can you exit the creator completely (to the point where you could play an existing character) until you click "Finish" at the end of creation?

The character creator demo is quite out of date; it doesn't have Dewmans or the two most recent face types. I really wanted to take some time with the current in-game creator, not limited by race like the regular and partner salons are (plus the partner salon gives inaccurate heights for full-size characters). I might not be able to do all I want in a single go, so I'm curious how far I could push this.

Can someone give me the link to that PA DPS page, iirc the website had the pso2 swiki layout but I can't remember if it was pso2 swiki. Tried to search the forum, look on swiki .. no luck.

It's a page with PA DPS tables, not PA power. Someone shared the page here, during a Gunner DPS discussion.

The PSE notifications specifically say what they are now

Dust stuff is a weather effect

Parallel areas are shown with the 'jingle' upon quest completion

And you didn't find the Quartz Dragon because it picked a respawned room that you didn't go back to

Its not a PSE thing, its like a warning of an upcoming event.

What is a "respawned room"?

You mean I will hear the "quest complete" sound in the middle of the quest and I have to search for the parallel pipe?

By respawned room, I assume he means a block of a map that you've completed, and then it is able to spawn enemies again; like you clear A-5, move on and once you're at like C-1 going back to A-5 would respawn enemies.

The darker dust thing is usually an omen of any Darker Code popping up. Roars can be for different bosses, a general kind of "swoosh" around the edges is another indication; Vol Dragon has an Orange roar-swooshy effect. Rainbow squiggles are an indication of that Protect the Crystals code. I'm sure there is other stuff I'm forgetting.

And I believe that parallel areas will only jingle and give the indication once a quest is completed in a Single-party area (except Za Oodan).

Parallel areas can be triggered by completing any ARKS/Free Field/Emergency quest that ends in a single party area (barring Subdue Za Oodan, as mentioned). They play a very distinct musical jingle when they spawn and appear as a yellow telepipe icon on the map. Since the quest must be completed before the parallel area can spawn, it is impossible to invite someone into the quest after discovering a parallel area. If you enter a parallel area and are defeated by the enemies inside it, then you cannot enter the parallel area again. swiki says that if you finish the quest and leave for the next area, the parallel area pipe will vanish, but sometimes I've seen parallel areas at the beginning of a quest when spamming the same thing repeatedly, so that might be an exception (didn't hear the jingle before leaving the quest).

I think parallel areas were buffed somewhat recently, a couple months ago I got like 10-12 in the span of a single month (two in a single day, even!). Think it was when the last ARKS Ship Competition was going on. Seen maybe one since then though, so it might have just been a ridiculously improbable coincidence. Before that month, in the entire time I've been playing, I had seen about half a dozen parallel areas.

You can get more information about parallel areas here (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%83%91%E3%83%A9%E3%83%AC%E3%83%AB%E3% 82%A8%E3%83%AA%E3%82%A2).

Well, right now there is an LQ running, so it should be easy to find people to play with. Also, I'm guessing you missed the release of the Ep.3 changes, so the game is a bit different in terms of the day-to-day stuff. Ultimately, it is up to you, though you lose nothing from just downloading it, and seeing for yourself (unless you have a bandwidth cap).

What do you mean by TATK crafted equips? You mean affixes? You could affix and build for TATK, but with Hunter sub, tech damage won't be too good. Might as well get Switch Strike and build for SATK.

Survivability is usually a non-issue with JB Bouncer's mobility; a build that increases your damage is going to be more beneficial, even if you solo.

Not only did they do far less damage than me (and liked my powerful boosts too) but they spent half of their time being Moon-Atomized by my Team and I. :/
You can play with no survivability skill if you're good enough but in XH/ULT, you need DEF & HP (even if ATK is more important). Death means No DPS at all.

Yes, but you don't sacrifice a lot of damage for "survivability", that's just little DPS at the end of the day. What you do is play /Hunter with Automate and Massive Hunter, which allows you to tank all the things while still doing lots of damage.

TeBr is better at supporting anyway, because they can dish out a lot more damage alongside their buffs. Bouncer does not offer anything significant to other players, while a Braver sub would do lots of damage to help kill things faster.

Also, everyone dies every so often. The only people who supposedly never die generally don't contribute much to groups anyway, because they sacrifice too much damage to "survive for others".

Aye, but there lies the rub. If you know how to properly read the situation and maximize use of your class' mobility, then my advice stands; odds are those players were the types who jump straight into the fray and ignore anything other than getting big numbers. You know how to maximize the potential of your chosen class combo, and that is where the difference lies.

They're giving it as reward on a recent PSO2 x PSO2es character linking campaign, they're also being rewarded on Vita Anniversary Web Panel.

There's no official statement when the rest of PA get released for now, but some people expect it'll released when new UQ map being released.

It depends on how long you play each day, i been using shitty phone internet connection with limited data plan it managed to fire up the game for 1.5 weeks (PC ver, with around 5 hours of playtime each days).
If you only play the game for 2 hours a day, maybe it'll hold for 3~4 weeks.

When looking for a drop from a boss, is having a rotating party of 5 (with 1 always opening area 3 as the others fight) faster than going for S ranks? The former is definitely faster for kills, but the quantity (is quality affected too?) of drops is kind of underwhelming.

Depends on how fast you can S rank tbh - Non S rank runs generally only get 4 drops from the bosses "body loot pool" which usually contains the weapons. While at that if non S rank only 1 of those 4 drops can even be rare. My understanding from PSO2 S wiki is this:

Non S rank - 4 drops from body, only 1 has a chance to be rare.

S rank (A rank has a very slight chance of 8 drops) - 8 drops from body, 5 have a chance of producing rares.

If you are hunting weapons generally only the boss kill matters then. Breaks usually only add extra junk or units to a pool. (adding extra slots for the junk also so its not taking up weapon rare slots) Hunar's sword is the exception to this currently as his sword directly boost Elder Pain's drop chances... which is still slim to none.

In return - If the drop you are looking for IS a boss unit then you want to break parts. Most things run on common sense. Boss breaks generally boost a specific unit related to the part of the body you broke.

tl;dr Short Version - If you are hunting weapons I suggest S ranking. If you are hunting boss units then I suggest just breaking the boss asap.

Found out the answer to my own question. For reference, once you've paid the 500 AC, you've paid for "character creation rights", which are permanent until you actually go through with making the new character. You can go into and fully back out of the creator as much as you would like, even set creation aside and play your existing characters, up until you do eventually click "Finish" at the end of the creation process.

So, I am ashamed to ask this. I've played Tech classes just a little less than I have Ranged classes, but something I have never quite bothered to figure out: How exactly does Zanverse work? Based on its description, I would assume that attacking within its field does additional damage that is Wind based and can apply Mirage, but I can't help but feel I'm missing something.

Each person in the field accumulates damage much like Banish, and after 1 second it does a hit of wind damage equal to 20% of it (modified by the caster's wind mastery and associated latent) and this can happen multiple times

so a low power Banish field, but is extremely good when it affects like 10 other people

Dephinix
Feb 4, 2015, 02:05 AM
I believe it added a stock 20% of whatever damage was done inside it again to the enemy with wind attribute. Wind Mastery maxed
boosted it to 28.8% if I recall correctly, and only one can take effect. Not sure how that one works, if only one works per area, or only
one Zanverse can affect a boss, or you could have one on the boss, and other on a mob somewhere else in map. Great for MPAs, if
you can get everyone to damage the bosses from inside it.

There can be any number of unique Zanverses cast by the party, but when dealing damage in the range of multiple, you just get the effect of the one with the most wind mastery

So then if there were two Zanverses next to each other, and 6 people in each, 6 people would not have contributed
to Zanverse then, correct? I usually move into theirs or ask what their wind mastery is at, but not many use it anyways.

I assume he means if they overlap and you are in their cross section, your damage will contribute to the one of higher Wind Mastery.

Z-0
Feb 4, 2015, 02:30 AM
There's a lot more than Wind Mastery that can affect Zanverse, which makes certain niche combos very good for Zanverse spamming in organised MPAs:

Zanverse has a base multiplier of 20%. Everything applies multiplicatively.

Wind Elemental Weakness - 20%
Chase Advance Plus - 15%
Critical Strike - 15%
First Hit - 20% (only applies to some special enemies like Falz Arms, not sure how this works myself)
Perfect Keeper - 20%
High Time - 20%
Wind Masteries - 20%
Shifta Strike - 10%
Rapid Shoot Mastery - 15%
Elemental Stance / Up - 20%/10%
Break Stance / Up / D-Bonus - 35%/10%/15.75%
Wind Boost Latent - 16% | Perfect Keeper Latent - 9% | Racist Latent - 20% | XQ Weather Latent - 12% | Ultimate Buster - 10% | Break Stance Latent - 60% | 13★ latent - 10%

In short, you can get a consistent maximum of 44% power Zanverse (TeGu), which can increase to ~52% power (GuTe), by using Wind Masteries, Strike, Wind Weapon, Perfect Keeper and High Time all at once.

Dephinix
Feb 4, 2015, 02:35 AM
Dang, that much adds to it. Is Shifta Strike worth it in that regard to have someone else go in maining Techer in an mpa like Magatsu? Or
would having another dps be better than having Shifta Strike?

Bellion
Feb 4, 2015, 02:44 AM
You pretty much need a Te main in like a majority of MPAs, not just Magatsu. You can also get a Gu/Te along for highest Zanverse damage, apparently 2m damage from each Gu/Br pulling off 5m damage to Magatsu. That Gu/Te can contribute basically 12m damage from 6 Gu/Br if they deal 30m damage combined.

Advance Capsules are the fee for playing Advance Quests. VH AQs require 1 capsule, while SH AQs require 10. VH AQs require capsule A, B or C x1 (type of capsule required depending on the field)
SH AQs require capsule D, E, or F x10 (type of capsule required depending on the field)

It spawns a lot of mobs so you can get a lot of xp. Also they give you stones which you can trade in for 10* weapons. Capsules drop from mobs which you can use to run other AQs, including SH AQs that drop exclusive PA discs. Every time you successfully complete the AQ (it takes about 30 minutes), your "risk" increases meaning the next time you run it, infection rates are boosted (which means more xp) and drop rates are also boosted.

You can only get 10* weapon passes with premium. You exchange any 10* weapon for a pass. So if you are a non-premium player, AQs are one of the best ways to get a good weapon.

In order to get *10 license:
- You have to be premium (premium pass must be used and active)
- Have *10 weapons/units (any *10 equipments obtained from stones exchange can't be used)

In short, if you want to buy *10, you have to get *10 first as a drop and have a premium active.

Evening y'all!

1. Crafting. I am lazy and want to request Lv10 PP crafting on my armour pieces, rather than putting in the work myself. However in the Visiphone menu I can only see levels 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8, or something along those lines. How exactly do I get Lv10?

2. While we're still on crafting, I mentioned I wanted to craft armour for PP. The options I have available in the Visiphone menu are for armours with S-DEF, R-DEF and T-DEF. I assume these determine what stats I'll need to equip them post-affix- would I be correct in thinking that in order to get the PP crafting, it's inside that menu? I've not done this crafting business before.

3. Affixing. Hypothetical scenario - let's assume I have a piece of armour that I've used an 'Add Spirita Boost' item on, and I have a fodder or two or whatever, each of which I've used an 'Add Technique Boost' on. Can I transfer the Technique Boost to the armour with the Spirita Boost, while also keeping the Spirita Boost?

1. Yes - They have on their weapon list the new weapons in XH and who drops them

2. Yes - You can look up the EQs themselves if you wish and see what they can drop

3. Different 12* area drops.

If you use google translate at pso2 s wiki remember to revert to original each time you change weapon sections because Google has a bad time having a old stored version of the website so it doesn't show everything without looking at the original each time you change weapon sections.

12* area drops for Where is the Chocolate 3 are:

Double Saber (same as the one in Desert XH, pot is Black Heart)
Wand (same as the one in Cradle XH, pot boost critical dmg)
Bow (same as the one in Vardha XH, pot boost kamikaze arrow)

1: Your first question I don't quite understand, but I assume that you can't find anyone with certain craft levels leading to lvl 10?

2: The PP craft is the R-Def one. S-Def gives the 100HP and T-Def gives 30HP, 3PP, 4 All Element Resist, and 4% Tech Resist.

3: Only one boost is possible at a time, and anytime you change abilities on a piece of equipment, that boost is lost.

1.
Rather than "Search by Item", pick "Search by recipe" to find a specific recipe.
HP/PP/Element resistance recipe only available for certain craft level, so you'll need climb up to the required level before turning them into PP one.

2. Fuck im drunk
Yes, you can check it's new stat req before submitting your craft request.
[spoiler-box]http://puu.sh/fsIbj.jpg[/spoiler-box]
side note: there's an item to decrease stat req for equipment (you can obtain it from FUN or title reward), and items that can be used to change what kind of stat required to equip (you get this one from casino reward exchange, but it's pretty pricey)

3.
Spirita Boost (or "** Boost" in general) are obtained through item usage, it's not transferable and can be only 1 per equipment pretty much just like souls)
If you re-affix the equipment that got, say "Spirita Boost" it'll be lost and you need to buy special ability add item from player shop in order to reapply spirita boost.

The only thing you lose maybe the original unit's damage resistance, depending on uncrafted stat > craft stat (varied depending on craft level).
Those units will retain their set bonus after crafted, so if you going to craft saiki or hiei as PP one, you'll gain massive PP.
With proper affix, you can get like 200PP.
As for zieg', his units are pretty much very average it's not even worth crafting, same case also applied to magatsu unit since it already got a pretty decent stat but got lame PP bonus so it kinda pointless.
Better keep dem money for something else.

Probably has something to do with each Cast/Caseal arm & torso being different measurements. Thus the "position" your arms rest at will keep changing each time you wear different parts. My male cast has NEVER held a gun properly. He is usually "ok" with rifles (placement of hands is correct, but the gun will hover above/away from his hands). Launchers? I don't even try anymore. One of his hands is always clipping through the gun.

I just chalk it up to him using some kind of magnetism (metal arm, metal bits in the gun, ignoring if any such metal they might be made of can even become magnetized... this is a video game afterall) to compensate his arms being too short / too long.

Was there any special requirement for the Web Money Grand Prix campaign reward? Everything I'm finding says everyone was supposed to get the rewards after maintenance but I never got anything from the visiphone.

Thanks all for the answers to my last questions.

One more, for curiosity's sake- a bunch of people in my team and I were talking about 13* weapons before I left for sleep, and someone commented that the rod is seen more favourably than the talis. Why would this be so? If I recall my sleepy mental arithmetic correctly, and assuming of course it was actually correct, the Talis (with the skill tree bonus) came out on top.

Talis is stronger, but Talis is awkward to play with for some techniques, and it requires re-throwing every 3 or 4 techniques (it's supposed to take 4 but I've had it come back after 3 for some reason...).

I'd say rod is far more favourable because it is far more flexible, but that doesn't mean the Talis has no use, it most certainly does. Optimally, you would want both.

I feel like it's a time limit thing, but each cast takes some time away. That way if you wait a little bit before releasing a tech, you'll end up eating enough time that you reduce how many techs you can cast.

Of course, it's been ages since I've used a Talis, so I dunno.

It's the amount of time in the air, including travel time, minus time spent charging a technic

the limit of casts is the product of waiting to start a new technic after casting one, as well as how long you wait to JA the first technic

Which Te element is best for general mobbing as a solo Fo/Te? I'm using ice as my Fo element for bossing, and I was thinking about wind for Elysion sazan, but that S-ATK requirement.

Light or Dark

Any techs I should be using? Dark has Ilmegid, I guess. Light has Gigrants..?
