A bit late but for me, PSO2 usually runs around 70℃ for CPU cores. Although it's summer time here, so it's more so around 75℃

Occasionally when the ambient temps are hot as well, PSO2 will hit the 80℃ mark (or when downloading lobby videos), but otherwise generally not over.

Be very concerned if you're regularly reaching 83+℃. I presume it's winter over where you are as well, so that's greater cause for concern.

Thank you for the answers regarding the ARs, i'll stick to extending the Dio Strauss until i manage to grab one of the ones i'm after. I'm at 4 Extension and Unlocked Potential, which is the PP recovery boost.

Got my mind set on getting an AR that matches my chara visually, so it's gotta be either Infinite Conundrum or Astral Riser.
The conundrum is a 54 base R-Atk jump [454 to 508] from DIO, not that much, but it looks a lot better for what i'm trying to achieve, and it has the same potential ability, which i really like as it allows me to keep shooting skills at whatever i'm fighting, and the Astral adds a further 36 Base to that. Not even slightly bothered about getting the Ares Rifle as it is uglier than Cthulu.

What's the most efficient way of grinding 10*/11* weapons to +10? Do you guys spend excubes on those last few grinds? Or do people just throw meseta and grinders at those purple-robed daylight robbers until their gear were fully grinded?

EDIT: Also, do daily crafts count towards crafting achievements?

I use grind risk reduction +1 when I reach +7

I usually use brute force until +6 or +7 (sometimes +6 though, since +6 -> +7 onwards, every fail will reduce the amount of "+" at least by 1), and use +1 Risk onward.

You need to reach Equipment Extension Level 20 on your character, then they'll unlock.

A lot of ISP's vary with who can connect and who can connect even with the ones that "can". If you want a surefire answer, go here: http://pso2.jp

If you can connect, great. You can get in the game. If not, proxy/vpn or rip.

Hello,

I'm looking for an updated (with the new PAs) guide on the Gunner class.

I'm playing Gu/Hu and learned recently that spamming Elder.Rebellion all over the place was actually really bad.

So I'm looking for some help to improve myself and my efficiency !

Thanks :)

Want to pass up some of my meseta to a friend's account via playershop. But what amount is generally acceptable in SEGA's part? Will large sum of meseta somehow giving SEGA false alarm or something?

In my case, I want to make a 50m transfer (Selling 500 Grinders worth 95k-100k each)

make sure to include tax to the total cost which is +10% and it won't alarm them unless you are passing the same amount frequently.

I got many Meseta Boosts yet I am always unsure what might be the best times or missions to spend them on. I do know that Extreme Quests are a good mission to use Meseta Boosts on, yet I'm not sure about any other quests where using a Meseta Boost might be good. Anyone would know of other good quests to use that boost on?

it's good to use them when mesetan pops up during AQs or using them in Limited quest since they give about 80k on average per run

Falz Elder as well, if you got them from FUN. Not a terrible idea to keep on one you in general in case a mesetan shows up, like the above post states.

So whats the deal with Critical Strikes in this game and them being considered to terrible?

I mean when ever I critical it nearly doubles my damage so I dont see how they are so terrible.

Dephinix
Feb 17, 2015, 06:49 PM
It doesn't double damage, a critical hit only ensures you hitting your max damage.
Unless you have Critical Strike from the Fighter tree, main skill only, which increases critical damage by 15% at max.
If your damage doubled, more than likely you hit a weak bullet spot, or a weak spot in general.

In this game, unless you are a Fighter using the skill Critical Strike, crits are just the upper echelon of your damage variance. If you are using 1*-6* or non-silva crafted weapons, you have a high damage variance, so it does seem like crits do more damage (7*+ weapons only have a variance of 90%-100%); in reality it just means that they are hitting the max of what they should be hitting.

Scenario:
75/75 Hu/Fi Human Male using Rose Steward +10 50%, no potential, no armor bonuses, no affixes, no stance, 190 S-ATK mag.
Uncrafted (1076 S-ATK, with hidden DEX bonus), a single swing against a non-weakspot would have a range of 435 to 458 damage.
Ex6(highest non-silva level) Crafted (1062 S-ATK, no DEX bonus), a single swing against a non-weakspot would have a range of 289 to 453 damage.

Basically, crit rate is meaningless for the uncrafted sword, since it's variance is only 23 damage, but crits do ensure that you would hit the higher end of the 164 damage variance of the crafted weapon. Obviously, this gap increases when you start taking into account PAs.

What's the recommended Hunter weapons to buy/hunt/grind/affix and potential for one's character?

Currently rocking a:

Blizaxe: 80 S-ATK, Enraged Stance Lv 3, Grind 10, ExLv 6.
Razail: 50 S-ATK Grind 10, ExLv 3.
Patty Lumeria: 80 S-ATK, Grind 10, ExLv6

Since leveling Hunter, I didn't have anything to start with (currently wearing my FO's extended 10 units as units lol), so I brought each weapon above as their affixes, and then just grinded, potential'd and extended.

So I wouldn't mind strenghening this class a bit, so I am just curious on what weapons to get and not, etc...

Thanks!

if it helps any with your example im currently using a Craft Mastery Lv1 +10/EX8 Fahren Ender

Also as a side note this game handles critical bonus into your damage WAY differently than any other game ive ever played.

If that's what you are using, you need some DEX affixes to reduce your variance, ensuring you are always hitting on the higher end.
Just throw your stats into here (http://4rt.info/psod/), and you can calculate roughly what your damage should look like and how much DEX you need.

Well I have like 510DEX With it which I would like to assume is enough Dex to hit into its higher rates but seeing as how Crits add so much extra damage to it I guess I dont.

So from what I can understand Weapons have damage caps and cant go past said cap with critical hit damage bonuses.

Well thanks for your help on this matter.

Basically, yeah.
I did some calculations (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3229614&postcount=14709) a while back regarding a Zieg weapon, albeit the Rifle, From there, I figured that about 600DEX (at least under those conditions) was the minimum to bring the crafted weapon to the 90%-100% variance.

So now that TACOs are a weekly thing now, what's the most efficient way to get money for a free player? DOs can only give you so much unless you personally want to grind for hours on getting 99x of an item, etc. I don't doubt I can make more money as a premium player, but since I just got my connection to PSO2 again, I want to find out about everything before I start paying.

Get a MyShop. It's not difficult nowadays, even as a free player.

What you do is farm cubes, best done through EQs such as Tower Defense and Magatsu, and use those cubes to scratch FUN and get Shops. I've scratched FUN for about 2 months so far using cubes from those EQs, and I have 104 shop passes (http://puu.sh/fPiXd/852832085d.jpg), which is more than enough to open up real money making methods. While I do get far more cubes than the average player due to playing in organised MPAs, a player that plays in only random EQs will still amass enough cubes for a permanent shop.

XQCOs, TACOs and Dailies are okay, but they are pitiful money compared to the average MyShop earner.

Didn't think I was bragging, and nice 218PP. I expect you must be playing Force, Techer, or a Bouncer that cast techs otherwise that sounds like an extreme waste of PP.

1100+ HP as Fighter or Bouncer, 1200+ as Hunter. 145 PP, can't say I ever run out of PP as it is unless I'm PP dumping into Vol Graptor multiple times. Have at least 75 attack on my weapons and units. Can't be bothered to check my other character for my Ranger/Gunner units right now since servers are down.

I guess in short we should say I prefer having an all around build instead of pumping everything into attack or PP just for a extra couple hundred damage in a PA or for PP I'll never use.

Oh I don't have Arm 3s on my affixes either. All my dex comes from Ability 3 or Stigma. In all sense of damage my pure dex mag character does literally about the same damage as my other character with 125 attack based mags.

Look in your storage and ctrl-c over anything you want to get rid of to copy their names in Japanese. Plug that into the shop to see how much they're going for, to get a bit of a guide.

Popular items are the big spenders, like costumes, AC accessories and voice tickets, and also swarms of cheaper, more common things like grinders or grind risk reductions.

--

Quick crafting question of my own while I'm here- I'm extending my armours, and I'm actually doing it myself now like a real life functioning human. However, they're all stuck at lv5. I've crafted them all at that level a couple times over now but I haven't gotten lv6 unlocked. I had an admittedly brief look for a guide on extension level progression a couple times but I didn't manage to turn anything up.

Just so I know that I'm on the right track- if I keep throwing ex lv5s at my armours, will I get lv6?

Eventually yes. You can check Crafting Achievements in the craft menu to see how much further you need to go to get there. It's hardly cost-efficient unless you're planning to help craft for the rest of your Team or something though.

Sweet, thanks. I'll have to give it a look when I get home.

I imagine I'll be doing a fair bit more crafting, if all goes to plan, but to be honest my main reason for doing it myself is time! I'm very impatient over waiting for crafts to be done :-P

i dont know if it just started recently but it seems like multi party areas, everyone is teleporting everywhere(almost always) and occasionally my damage isn't showing up. is it happening to anyone else or should i continue working on getting my net running properly?

or is it because of the server populations?

If I'm going down the rainbow crafted DB FiBo route, what's the best way to make my weapons fighter equippable without spending too much meseta? I currently have a low-budget set of ex.1 weapons that I kept crafting repeatedly until I got all class, but the stats on ex.1 are pretty low. Would I eventually have to save up for five fighter class items if I wanted to do high ex levels effectively?

I'm guessing you're using 7 to 9*s. If you happen to be levelling crafts as well, you'll run into a barrier at Ex6 where you'll need to craft a certain amount of times to unlock the next tier.

You can spam recrafting at Ex6 5 times (actual achievement is 10, but minus 5 times per blade) times to unlock Advanced Strike Extension 4, and then recrafting at Ex7 20-21 times (minus 4-5 times per blade) to unlock Advanced Strike Extension 5.

Great Success procs seem to be between 1/15 to 1/20 for me on average, so with any luck you'd be able to get two blades out of the way while levelling crafts - one at Ex6 to 7, the other at Ex7, at least temporarily since a crit Fighter build doesn't need to worry about Silva Dex.

Didn't think I was bragging, and nice 218PP. I expect you must be playing Force, Techer, or a Bouncer that cast techs otherwise that sounds like an extreme waste of PP.

...

Oh I don't have Arm 3s on my affixes either. All my dex comes from Ability 3 or Stigma. In all sense of damage my pure dex mag character does literally about the same damage as my other character with 125 attack based mags.Yeah, I'm a Force. It especially comes in handy when I'm FO/BR, due to the lower PP regeneration with the lack of TE.
I figured that more PP would lead to a better average in damage in the long run, even if it means sacrificing some attack stat. The opportunity cost for increasing attack is also way too high in this game (especially after a certain point). The comparative advantage compared to PP gain is heavily in PP's favor.

And if you're affixing Stigma, then you can't really claim to be "hating PP affixes", can you? XD

As for DEX Mag, I would only ever consider it for BR/BO, due to the combination of Mag skills. But unfortunately, BR/BO isn't the best class combo, so it's only for more casual playing. Other than that, DEX is pretty wasted on a Mag. A 125 ATK + 65 DEX Mag is not a good option.

If I'm going down the rainbow crafted DB FiBo route, what's the best way to make my weapons fighter equippable without spending too much meseta?Going down the path of a rainbow palette and expecting to not spend a lot of meseta? Quite hard to do... XD If you're going for a rainbow palette, then you might as well go for max extend level and buy the Add Class (Fighter) items, unless your luck is godly. I had a friend that crafted the max level over and over to get all class on a Partisan (since he needed it for Fighter AND Braver), and spend almost 30 million without getting it. Getting just Fighter won't be as hard, but you have to do that for 5 weapons, so chances are that it'll be much cheaper to buy 5 of the items.

BO Mag yes especially with Craft Mastery. 190 Dex + 95 SATK adds more average damage to crafted weapons than 190 SATK, and Dex ceiling is actually quite high because some bosses have 482 Dex.

BR Mag maybe, not sure if the race hunter bows will benefit from crafting.

BO/BR Mag... okay you have a nice mag but terrible skills to go with it :(

No it's not. The primary purpose of the password is to enable the generation of unique rooms for each person, so that they can search for their own Angas. The password is usually some very simple hiragana with very little variation. There will be a few rooms with kanji passwords; those are meant to keep westerners out, but on B27, those are the minority.

Assumption is strong with this one.

No, people don't PRIMARILY MPA lock to keep gaijins out, but to make sure you get a fresh map and don't run in random players. That's why most of them are 1/12.

Only a minority use kanji pw to filter the MPA, but that's maybe 1% of the parties on B27.

You buy them from player shops, or you can spend actual money to try and pull them from the AC Scratch, though that doesn't guarantee you get the outfit you want and is limited to what is available in the scratch.

Edit: To make sure you are only getting non-starter costumes when you search, have your filters as "Costumes & Parts => Costumes" and set rarity to 7*.

You get them from player shops by searching using the "Weapon Camo" filter and then selecting the type of weapon you want a camo for. Once you have one, you equip it from the Customize menu option.

Boulay Earl > Susano Shouha (not lambda), because 7% AVG Stance > 6% Fury Stance

The default ones are accessible through the costume shop, which is next to the Item Shop. (But this one you probably knew already)

The non-default ones you can get through AC Scratch (scratch cards you can buy ingame using Arks Cash which is bought with real money, NOT ingame currency).

or

Through player shops. You can find them on the Visiphone (the question mark symbol). Be prepared to pay quite a lot for them (several hundred thousand Meseta, some -many- on the millions), especially if your character is female.

No, everything he had stated is all right.

Vraolet doesn't give you an increase in rares dropped, it increases that the rare dropped is untekked. However, because it is untekked, it gives off the illusion that you are getting more rares than usual.

Lucky Rise affects all drops last time I checked. The problem is, it affects just that, all drops. So it may seem like trash items are being dropped, but it's because it's just giving your a higher chance of getting something rather than meseta.

Everything about the boss crystal and resets is true. This is also why when there is a single boss in an mpa, etc, breaking the crystal before everyone is ready is considered rude. But we Gaijins are stupid and don't care for manners anyway! Trolololol!

Lucky Rise boosts the whole drop rate table, not just trash items. However, the boost is so small that you can't even notice a real difference on rare items with low drop rates.

He's indeed wrong about the Fortunate Omen, if the system rolls a rare drops, there is a second roll to decide if you get a boxed item or not, that's it.
How to prove it? Run some Magatsu using the same RDR rate, first with Fortunate Omen, then without. You won't get more cubes for using one, you'll just spend more meseta untekking your weapons.

People here have confirmed that drops are generated at crystal break and not at boss death: 10/10 CO items from boss at boss death, send the CO items to storage, break the crystal and you'll get a CO item. If the drops were calculated at boss death, you wouldn't have had any.

Thank you both for confirming. The boss crystal I still find weird. Ship 2 just had a Border Break EQ, and for both Cougars at end,
drops seem to be the same amount. I was getting about 10-12 drops from both of them. Even the Tagami at the end had 10 drops,
so how should I interpret that? What do you mean break before everyone is ready, like to pull out Vraolet or something?

Go to chat settings, autowords & then for whatever specific situation you want the symbol art to appear: Type in /symbol#

So for example: If you want the symbol art that's saved in your 4th symbol art slot to appear everytime you get a rare drop, then you would type /symbol4 under the Obtained Rare Drop autoword condition.

Please Autoword responsibly. Autowords/symbol arts for things like Rare Drop & Clearing the Mission are fine & its probably beneficial if you have one for dying... but most people will not appreciate it if you have autospam going off for EVERY ATTACK you do.

Honestly, it mostly comes down to the game's RNG. I got the 12* Dual Blades in an XQ Volcanic Guerrillas run as a GU/RA using only an EXP+75%, so take that as you will.

Ive run the Valentines and Desert EQs every time with 250%, never got the 12* dsabers I want. I ran as Fighter too. Some people run without boosts and get 12* they dont even want. So its up to your luck.

Dont use Lucky Rise units, because it doesnt improve your drop rates by 10%, it only adds that to the original drop rate. So if the drop rate is 0.00001% those units might make it 0.00002% or whatever. Not worth sacrificing your damage and defense, and other people will call you a leecher. Contrary to what some people here might say, its not password locked to "keep out gaijins", its there so it always creates a new MPA room (1/12) for them to search for Angas.

People create new rooms and run a few blocks to search for Anga. If he appears, they change the name of their party to "あんが O”

あんが or アンガ= Anga

Usually they will put the time they found it (in JST) so that people know its new so they dont accidentally join parties where they forgot to remove the O after the boss was killed.

When you join a party, you help everyone kill mobs to earn points so Anga drops more stuff. It usually says 250 points, but lately Ive been seeing people kill more stuff way past 250, so basically just follow where everyone else is going.

It helps to have an ultimate buster ice weapon to deal with mobs more quickly.

This guy here explains it better than I do.

Lots of 1s/2s units, had some 3s, not a single 4/5s in my 80 last XQ runs. Flict Tiro wouldn't be that expensive if 4 and 5s units were common drops.

Still have to check other floors, but 1-5 is an extremely short run so I'm not wasting the RDR time trying to clear some SE stages or other conditional kills.

TBH, that Kill bonus reset makes no sense to me. I've been farming Anga on daily basis for the last 2 months, while killing mobs for the drop bonus, we sometimes get siorg or Baya spawns at 210-220 pts, we kill thme, break the crystals then we finish Anga. If that crystal reset was true, then I should have noticed a significant drop difference on Anga drops and the whole points farming before killing Anga would subsequently make no sense.
Another example, we killed Anga, rare diabo spawned and someone asked if we could kill it. We had a full break and the boss still dropped a fuckton of items.

Same goes for QD in AQ, as far as I S rank the quest, after a full break the boss is always going to drop items like a fountain even though I encounter a catadick before going to A3.

- "What do you mean break before everyone is ready, like to pull out Vraolet or something?"

Umblla sticks or LOL_LR_LOL set (g2g fast for that one).

I really hope this is appropriate for this section.
I'm currently playing on vita and everything has been easy enough to figure out as far as selecting missions, using the shops equiping things and etc.
I'm having a hard time though with the quests that the NPCs give you around the ship.
I don't know what they want or even their names D:
Is there a way I can find out what I have to do for each person?

You can use the translated Client orders on Cirnopadia: http://pso2.cirnopedia.info/orders_client_overview.php#client

Click on the NPC and try to find the title of the client order.

Hello, I'm new and I will play Gunner later. I started as a Ranger. I will probably play with Launcher with Gun 2x.
-I would want to know what I should upgrade while leveling and what later. I don't thing that I will play later with traps.
-Later I would want to be usefull on mobs pack and Boss. So wich build is the best for gunner ?
-What should I give to my mags to be optimal ?
I saw some guide but they are not up-to-date :(
I am doing a lot theorycrafting to start the game well. But there's so much to read ! If you have any tips I will consider them at 100% :)
Thank you and sorry for my english !

Does Crazy Beat stack with Limit Break? I heard it wasn't supposed to but they haven't patched it yet?

It does and is supposed to. Limit Break is intentionally programmed as an incurable SE, so both Crazy Beat and Crazy Heart are activated for its duration. Whoever told you that it wasn't supposed to do that is incorrect.

Does the whole "finding weapons related to your class" only applies to 9*s and lower correct? Doesnt apply to 10-13*?

Class bonus is essentially a second roll for rare items if it can be equipped by your class. Only area-specific drops don't qualify for it, because they use a different check from regular drops. It applies regardless of the weapon's rarity.

^Area specific: rare weapons (Usually the 12*) that can drop from any enemies in a certain area/quest (Emergnecy Quest). For example:

Lightning Espada can drop from Christmas on Ice EQ and Mining Base 1, both at XH level. No specific enemies need to be killed. Even the Rappy is counted as potential dropper of this weapon.

Hyakka Ryouran, a 12* Dual Blade, can drop from any enemy in Volcanic Guerrillas XH.

Queen Vieira, a 12* Gunslash with PP recover potential, drop in similar way in Subdue Fang Banther XH.

I kinda fail at the dmg calculator.

I want to know the difference in dmg between Orochi Agito (pot 3 and below 50% PP), Sukei Suzumi pot 3) and the 13* Katana (pot 1 and 3).
All +100 s-atk from abilities and on a lvl 75 BrHu with 1225 s-atk and 488 dex without weapon.

if it makes a difference, using Sakura Endo and Kanran Kikyou.

Is the +100 for the weapon as well as the units? I'm gonna assume weapon too since you probably will be affixing that.

[SPOILER-BOX]Base S-ATK: 925
Affixes: +400
Shifta Drink: 925 * 0.2 (+185)
Unit Bonus: +90 (or is it 60? Gonna assume 90, it won't make a big difference either way)

Total S-ATK: 1600

Skill Multipliers: JA Bonus 1/2, Fury Stance, Fury Stance Up 1/2, Fury Combo, Average Stance, Average Stance Up, Average Stance Charge (2.45x, this is just for the sake of example).

Sukei Suzumi: 937 S-ATK, 1.07% (2.62x)
Orochi Agito: 998 S-ATK (+400)
Ares Ryuuga: 1283 S-ATK, 1.04/1.06% (2.54x/2.59x) (will be assuming minimum damage bonus from level 1 and 3).

Other variables:

Enemy S-DEF: 315
Enemy Striking Hitzone: 1
Weapon Element: 0.5 (0.6 for Ares)
Enemy Elemental Hitzone: 1
Just Attack: 1.3
Mystery Multiplier: 1.05
Sakura-endo: 14.5 (/ 2 = 7.25) (The actual PA doesn't matter if you want % differences)

Sukei Suzumi:

(2537 - 315) * 1 (= 2222)
937 * 0.5 * 1 (= 468.5)
(2222 + 468.5) / 5 * 1.05 * 1.3 * 2.62 * 7.25 = 13,951 (x2)

Orochi Agito:

(2998 - 315) * 1 (= 2683)
998 * 0.5 * 1 (= 499)
(2683 + 499) / 5 * 1.05 * 1.3 * 2.45 * 7.25 = 15,430 (x2)

Ares Ryuuga (level 1):

(2883 - 315) * 1 (= 2568 )
1283 * 0.6 * 1 (= 769)
(2568 + 769) / 5 * 1.05 * 1.3 * 2.54 * 7.25 = 16,776 (x2)

Ares Ryuuga (level 3):

(2568 + 769) / 5 * 1.05 * 1.3 * 2.59 * 7.25 = 17,106 (x2)

Just for fun, max PB (2.69 instead of 2.59): 17,766 (x2)

Max PB Ares Ryuuga level 3: 35,532 (100%)
Ares Ryuuga level 3: 34,212 (96%)
Ares Ryuuga level 1: 33,552 (94%)
Orochi Agito: 30,860 (86%)
Sukei Suzumi: 27,902 (78%)

In other words, Orochi Agito is stronger than Sukei Suzumi by 8%, Ares Ryuuga, at level 1, is stronger than Orochi Agito by 8%, and further stronger with more PB or a higher potential level, upwards of 14%. [/SPOILER-BOX]

Really impressive just how much stronger Ares weapons are compared to everything else.

I think it is just common place in most MMOs these days that the auction houses or player shops have tax. I'm ok with the 5% tax personally. Last MMO I played they hada 10% tax on auction house including a fee just to put your item up. You got the fee back if your item sold and they took the 10% instead. If your item didn't sell they kept the fee and you had to pay again just to put it back up. >.>

Ya, OK, but that still doesn't answer the question of why? It's not like SEGA is making money off meseta and it's not like a real economy with a maximum of cash in circulation.

Money-sinks are essential in lots of online games with a player driven economy. Shop fees, expensive buyback prices, affix, grinding, consumables, ... are some of them.

If the shops had no tax, I'd just buy lots of costumes or tickets and sell them for 200,000 more meseta. Shop tax is just a legit way to reduce your profit, so you have to play more to earn more: game design 101.

Sorry, still make no sense. There's nothing stopping you right now from buying lots of stuff right now and reselling it for profit. Taxes exist in real life so that your country, province/state and city can pay their workers, so unless SEGA pays their employees with meseta, this makes no sense.

It's a GAME, not real life -_-

What's stopping me from buying a 10,000,000 ticket to sell it for 10,200,000? the 500,000 tax ...

It's a system to make you lose money, period, stop over-thinking a "Money-sinks" system. If something makes you lose money, it's going to be favorable to SEGA, all the tax money are money you aren't getting. That same money you won't have on the long run, you'll have to play more to earn it or spend more AC on scratch.

That's suppose to be an obstacle? If you have already have $10 000 000 to spend on item lots in order to resale, I doubt that $500 000 is going to be hard to acquire, 30 minutes of TACOs should do the trick. If that was SEGA's goal, then it failed cause not once was I not able to buy something because of the tax. The only thing that gave value to items was the registration of items to your character once equipped and that was removed.

This 'tax' still diminishes the return on flipping items on the market. It helps prevent people from engaging in price-fixing.

But it's the same percentage for everyone and everything, so there's really nothing stopping them from doing so.

Every week, I put stuff up for sale on my shop. I based my prices on the lowest prices and then I go lower than that. Why? Because this is stuff that didn't cost me anything, so regardless of the sales price, it's all profit.

Sometimes, certain items drop value overnight, example: I found a weapon that goes for $10 000 and up, so I put mine up for $8000. The next morning, the prices pretty much all went down to $4000. Why did this happen? Simple, supply and demand, nobody was buying at $8000+, so sellers dropped their prices, taxes had no influence on this.

If we had different premium packages with different sales taxes and/or certain items were subject to more or less taxes, then I would get the principal. If in real life, taxes would be removed, stores would still try to compete with each other on prices, that would not change, they would either all keep the items at the same prices and simply pocket the profit or would all lower the items prices, but the concept would stay the same.

I don't know how taxes work in other games, but if it was meant for anything in this one, it failed.

Well how about giving money to other players without premium. Someone puts a grinder up for 1,050,000, so they can sell to a friend that
wants to give them 1,000,000. That friend must now pay 50k extra just to do so. Maybe that's there to discourage, in which case, that's a working
purpose. Nice job ruining markets by the way.

Pretty much every MMO I've played has had the same system, where they take a small cut from your automated sales. And I've played quite a few.

The main reason for this is to remove gold from the economy. By pulling money out of the game, you can mitigate the inflation that happens when everyone get more and more money. You can't compare it to real life, as money in games like this get generated out of nowhere, while money in real life have to come from somewhere. If a real country just started printing money, the consequences would be disastrous. Like what happened with the hyperinflation in Zimbabwe.

Inflation happens in games too. For example; in a long-lasting game like WoW, the prices have increased dramatically over the year. Back in the day the most expensive thing you could buy cost 900 gold (and few people could actually afford it), while now people are rushing to bid 999.999 gold on rare items that pop up on the special auction house. This simply naturally happened over time, as gold kept entering the system through quests rewards and selling items to NPC-shops.

As a result MMOs need gold sinks. A way to get gold out of the system. The 5% cut is just one of many in the game. Others would be grinding, ability affixing, drinks, buying consumables from the shop.. You get the idea.

lol, I'd be discourage to buy a grinder for $5. That's a very funny example you gave, now how about giving me a situation where YOU wanted to buy an item in a player's shop for 1 050 000 and were discouraged because you were 50 000 short?

Also, facepalm at your idea of ruining the economy. If you decide to sale your car for $5, will it impact the sale prices all the other cars? No, cause you only had 1 for sale. The fact that I sale my stuff for lower doesn't change much because even if it doesn't cost me anything to get these items, I have no control over my supply, it's random crap. And if by some odd reason, my lonesome was able to ruin the economy, it's just a fucking game, get over it.

I agree 100% about the part about the Equipment Lab services, they're able to make players keep spending money and makes people keep playing the game longer in order to make more money.

That being said, sales taxes still make no sense since they make too little of an impact in the final value of the item. We wouldn't be that much richer if there were no taxes. Even as a beginning player last April, I had no issues in the stores where the sales tax made the difference between being able to buy or not buy.

To be quite honest, I was expecting an original reply to be like "Virtual currency needs to be taxed in Japan" or something like that, hey I've read crazier shit than this about Japan.

Now that I know what it's original purpose is for, as someone who works in the accounting field, it just baffles me that so many people seem to think that with an economy where you can easily rank up half a million a day, that a 5% tax going to the game's nebula would actually make an impact on the player's decision to buy something or not

You completely looked over that without any realization. To make a profit, you would have to post it higher than what that
tax rate cost you, which would be 10,500,001. That's not much of a profit, so now you have to post for much higher. but wait,
there's a bunch for 10,500,000 already, what are you going to do about those, buy all those too? It may look simple from a

If a mod wants to make this into a topic, he's free to do so.

As for your example, it doesn't hold much water.

First, prices are influence by supply and demand. Sure, you can sale for whatever price you want, doesn't mean that it's worth that and that people are willing to pay for it, just look at ebay if you want a prime example.

Second, if there are too much items at that 10 500 000 already, then you were dump to buy that in the first place.

Third, even without taxes and keeping that same stupid scenario, price increasing would still happen. The guy who buys it at 10 000 000 will sale it at 10 200 000 and the guy who buys that one will sale it at 10 500 000, etc.

In real life business, you never count taxes in your expenses because it will be credited on your tax report, just like you don't count taxes in your revenues. Taxes in real life are simply the income of city and government workers. In this video games, if SEGA's goal was to limit people's spending's and keep them playing, well they fucked it up, would be more intelligent to allow items to be grinded to 15 or something and drop taxes.

For the love of god. I don't see how such a simple concept can turn into a 2 page discussion. I love debates but this isn't even a debatable topic. This is a common place thing in most MMOs. It does two things. Stops people from buying and reselling for minor things and a small money sink.

In all honestly the other reason is -Most MMOs do this- and that should have been a good enough answer. You can't make a reason out of everything in life. Also for someone "who works in accounting" you should realize there are always ways to get around stuff like this.

In PSO2's case its buying and reselling LIMITED items. The tax will be enough to make buying a reselling common place items a terrible idea.

Honestly, there isn't anymore reasons that can be given to you. Some people just have too much energy to make a big deal out of minor things. It isn't only Japanese MMOs that do this. American MMOs do this, a MMO made in Germany that I played long ago did this. It's common practice.

tl;dr As a person who works in business the basic concept of this flew right past your head.

Also before you make an excuse that stores in real life resell minor items - That is done on purpose. The people that create/stock these items sell to warehouse on purpose. It ensures that the people that actually supply the items gets their money no matter what. The warehouses then supply stores with the product where the stores increase the price. People that supply the warehouses won't even sell to the general public.

You forgot 1 minor detail in all of this, there's already a system in place to prevent profiting from minor and common things, the fact that you cannot sale under $1000, making this tax even more useless.

Also, "because others do it" has never really been a winning argument in life.

How does that even affect any of this? I suspect you went to college since you are an accountant but I'm starting to second guess what you were honestly taught at this point since the most obvious things are going right past you. I also gave you the other reasons above as to why there is a tax.

That doesn't STOP anyone from reselling minor items. That STOPS people from making things for free. The thing that stops anyone from reselling minor items is two things.

The tax and how easy they are to get. Since you had to bring up the 1000 mark like it honestly stops anyone from reselling minor items. No, it stops items like grinders from becoming free because of how easy they are to get. Also you don't resell grinders, you don't resell junk rares, you don't resell easy to make fodders.

Huh, I honestly don't know if it isn't in that shop. but here is the name for the market ニャウスーツ711

On ship 9 it is only 70k so I don't think it will cost that much more for you on your ship.

Edit: Checking PSO2 s wiki. It looks like it involves going to an actual 7-11 in japan. I am guessing at least since it is on the same page of other possible prizes from their lottery.

Edit 2: http://pso2.jp/players/campaign/711/2015/ - if you can see that link it list everything that is in the lottery. There is also 2 music CDs listed that you can only get from 7-11... but here are the item names.

Costumes and Storage, yes. Anything Salon related, once used, no.

EDIT: Expanded:
Any storage is shared between characters on a ship, so all your costumes, unused tickets, weapons, etc. can be taken out by any of your characters on the same ship. Your MyRoom and Lobby Actions are also accessible by any of your characters.

What is not shared between characters is any appearance ticket you have used, ie. Hairstyles, Eye Types, Accessories, Makeup, Emblems, and Body Paints. Other things locked to individual characters are Support Partners, Inventory expansion, Mags, and Crafting Levels.

Increases your ATK by X% of your base ATK - check Cirnopedia (http://pso2.cirnopedia.info/others_5.php#fire) for what X is. Shiftaride is Lv1.

With Shifta Strike (Te), there's also a 10% damage multiplier on top of that, and 5% for Shifta Air (Bo), while Shifta Advance increases the aforementioned X% by whatever % the Techer's Shifta Advance gives.

No, the $1000 minimum is there in order to keep the NPC shops relevant. I mean who'd want to buy moons at $1000? Also, why do people keep bringing up grinders, my bank is so full of that shit I don't know what to do with them besides selling them to NPC shops for $400 a pop.

As for your marketing advice, ya no thanks I'm good. I make millions with my regular clientele. I sale Lv8 to Lv10 discs at $1000, most fun scratch items I can't/don't use for $1000 or below whatever the lowest offer is and the same deal with 7* to 9* rares.

In life just like in video games, you can either have a fewer sales and make high revenues or make many sales with low revenues. Comes down to the same thing except the ones with many sales can brag about having more customers while the ones with less sales can brag about not working too much.

For all sakes I'm going to assume troll because no "accountant" can be this awful. You can not compare a game to real life. This game infinite generates items and doesn't even represent a real world economy. The only way to get close to the real world is pretending the big shots are Wal-Mart and the AC/FUN scratch items are the suppliers. Where a group of people buy everything up and makes it suck for everyone else.

So why does the rifle Flowrain have S-atk stats? What makes it reliant on using those stats other than R-atk?

It's part of a themed equipment set with this partisan (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%83%95%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A6%E3%83%87%E3% 82%A3%E3%83%BC%E3%83%88). Frequently, Sega makes weapons that are themed after an outfit, have matching equipment requirements (in this case, Hunter and Ranger), sometimes identical or similar potentials (the weapons these are palette swaps of both have Fury Stance latent), and sometimes unusual ATK stats (Rifle has S-ATK, partisan has R-ATK). Should cover the why of it.

As for what it can do with that S-ATK...enhance PB damage, as was said. Weapons that don't normally have S-ATK or R-ATK cannot use those stats outside of enhancing PB damage.

Picked up a pair today!

1. Anga. A couple of us were talking about how it drops 13*s- I'd always been under the impression that any given Anga can drop any given 13* weapon, but the person I was talking to thought it was class-specific. Is this true?

2. Is there a way to change when things 'appear'? Like, for instance, in TD's - I can see a crystal from ages away, but I can't see another player until I'm basically on top of them. On the floating continent, I can see plants floating in the air, but the column they're meant to be growing out of doesn't show up until I'm much closer. Is there any way to change this?

Low rarity weapons and units aren't worth selling, the stats (aka affixes) you can find on them are: wanted souls, offensive stats, spirita, modulator, alter/flict, ... you'll have to check the market yourself to learn what's worth selling and what you are going to NPC.

The value someone is going to give to something is subjective, wealthy players aren't going to bother selling 20-50k weapons when others will try to squeeze every penny.

Only a few 10/11☆ weapons are worth selling, check the market and cube them if the weapons isn't selling for at least 200k.

Don't forget about Grenade Shell for mobbing, like when there is a pack of ennemies.

Can a non-Japanese Vita play the Vita version of the game?

And by the way, on a Ranger focused on playing with Launcher (don't worry, Rifle is here too, but no Bows in case of RA/BR), I'll get more benefit with a RA/GU or with a RA/BR ?

GU has Perfect Keeper and Zero Range skills but BR gives Attack Advance, and Weak Stance (Average when I would not be sure to hit ennemy's weakpoint, like, Average for mobbing, Weak for bossing) moreover, I don't think It is always possible to get benefit from ZRA.

Thanks in advance for your help and, If you have any advise on good Launcher and a good build.

I was going on a build like that : http://pso2-skill.pwnedgalaxy.net/skillcalc.php?09xpbxImbxImbxImbxImbxImbxImbxImbxIm fcAfb36dodBIb00000000jdoIn0000000jdoboIbIdIodAwOJ2 ixJfk00000jebjbD2fxfGKJkI2In0000lo00000007oIn00000 000IbqBk2cAI2jzxfGAcKIn00008doIb0000008

If you buy the physical copy, yes, if you take the free dematerialized copy, nope.

Actually, the Vita hardware is region free, but you will need to have a Japanese PSN account to play the digital version of the game, preferably on its own memory card since it requires factory resetting to switch between PSN accounts from different regions. This guide should still work. (http://kotaku.com/5983578/how-to-play-japanese-vita-games-on-your-non-japanese-vita)

Is there anyone currently online that can extend my weapon to level 12? It's already at 11, just need to get it to 12.

Weapon extension depends on star rarity as well. You'll have to note if its 8*, 10*, etc.

I'd recommend searching up the extension you need in the visiphone and requesting the upgrade before you log or something if that's the main thing you use. Regardless, there's almost always SOMEONE that has whatever extension you need up. Worst case scenario, you pull out your crafting resources and try again.

12 is definitely 7-9*, but need to know if it's S/R/T.

Does FPS lag contributes to server delay? Like i'm fine soloing and mobbing like 10+ monsters at one time without lagging. But in EQ, I have quite bad FPS drop and had like 20-40 seconds delay =x
